Mary shrugged while Juliet stared at her with a questionable look.
Some of the wardens came in and patted some of the ones that were still asleep.
"Today is cleaning day and all of you are going to clean around the prison," one of the wardens announced with a gruff voice which sounded like that of a man who has made smoking his daily food. But the strange part was that it was a female.
Everyone stood up and left their cell rooms to get ready. And while all these were happening, Juliet’s eyes were still on Felicia because she couldn’t understand how the latter was able to escape the warden she saw last night.
Some of the inmates took their shower first, while some didn’t bother to do so since they would still get dirty and sweaty from cleaning the whole prison which was large.
Grabbing their cleaning tools, they all started cleaning.
Juliet left her mother’s side and went to the back of the prison where the Felicia was, cleaning. While a warden was stationed to keep an eye on them. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
"You have been following me everywhere since this morning Juliet, what happened?" Felicia questioned when Juliet was already beside her.
"You know why I’m following you. How did you escape under the warden’s nose? Because I for sure saw the warden come inside the office and you were there," said Juliet as wrinkles formed on her forehead.
Felicia pretended not to have heard Juliet and continued sweeping the ground.
"Hey! I’m talking to you," said Felicia as she pushed Felicia.
Felicia dropped her broom and glared at Juliet before she said,
"Why do I have to answer to you? Oh wait, I know why, it’s because you are upset your plan didn’t go through right? You wanted me to be caught and punished for sneaking into the main building. But unfortunately for you, your plan didn’t go through," Felicia replied. She picked up her broom and continued her task, ignoring Juliet completely.
On the other hand, Juliet clenched her fist in anger as she mumbled something under her breath. She waited until she saw that the warden watching them had moved to the other side, going to reprimand some inmates who had been misbehaving.
"Did you bribe the warden?" Juliet suddenly asked. Felicia paused her actions out of shock before looking at Juliet with a raised eyebrow.
"What do you mean by bribe? Are you out of your senses or something? How can I possibly bribe a warden? Do I look like I have enough money to do that?" Felicia asked all at once.
The question might have been a crazy one but Juliet knew that Felicia was even more crazy. She doesn’t stop at nothing until she has achieved everything that she wants.
The questions did make sense. Felicia had nothing and there was nothing she could have used to bribe the warden, but the main question still lingers.

A smirk pulled up on Felicia’s lips and the latter didn’t bother to hide it.
"What are the both of you doing? Did you come out here to chat? Get back to work." The warden who had left earlier ordered and the both of them resumed their work.

After spending about 6 hours cleaning the whole prison, inside and out, everyone took a shower and rested.
In their cell rooms, everyone slumped like bags of potatoes because of how tired they all were.
But all this while, Juliet’s eyes were still on Felicia.
Mary noticed this and tapped Juliet on the hand,
"If anyone sees the way you have been monitoring Felicia, they would think that you are her biggest fan. Why have you been staring at her as if she stole something from you?"
"It’s because I still don’t get how she was able to pass the warden without getting into trouble. I still can’t figure it out. I questioned her about it earlier but she just smirked while asking questions back," Juliet replied, rubbing her forehead in frustration. "And the worst part is that I haven’t seen the warden since this morning," she added.
"Did she kill her?" Mary suddenly asked which Juliet quickly shook her head to.
"If she had killed her, the other wardens would have noticed that their comrade was missing. So I don’t think she killed the warden."
Mary stared at Felicia who could feel the stares before she said,
"You need to stay away from Felicia for now. You are hot on her tails and she won’t make any move as long as you keep having your eyes on her. Lay low for now until she strikes again," Mary suggested.
"I don’t have much time mum, I’m going to be released in a week. If I continue to wait, she might make her move after I’ve left here. Maybe, she’s waiting for me to leave before she makes any move at all."
"Madam Laura will be the one to take care of that," said Mary.
Juliet searched for Madam Laura and found her talking with one of her lackeys while there was one behind her, who was fanning her.
She hadn’t informed Madam Laura of what had happened last night, and she wasn’t sure if she could trust the woman. Besides, the old hag was the one who had scarred her face.
"Maybe she’s going to go with Felicia. If she can follow her the first time, she can most definitely follow her out again," said Juliet.
She didn’t trust either of the two. Felicia and Madam Laura. Both of them were snakes and they knew how to hide their skins well after shedding them.
"You are right about that. But please, stay away from Felicia. I don’t want you to get any more hurt than you are currently. She might frame you again and get madam Laura to do something horrible to you," Mary pleaded.
