Banggggg!!!
He crashed down. Hands still gripping his sword tightly, he didn’t feel any pain. His primordial immunity was working wonders.
Dust and stone exploded around him as cracks spiderwebbed across the ground beneath his feet.
Lynx stood up, grinning. "Now that’s what I call an epic landing." He looked down, and where he stood, there were deep cracks. A testament to his heavy fall.
"Wow, how do people even survive this? No wonder it’s banned from entering. Well, it’s their bad luck," he started walking.
Everywhere was still pitch black, but his primordial vision made him see through the darkness as clear as day. Shadows meant nothing to him now.
He saw skeletons scattered across the floor. Bones of people who came here before and never left. He crouched down and touched one skeleton’s head.
The bone dissolved to dust the moment it came in contact with Lynx’s hand, crumbling.
Lynx flinched. "Damn, it must have spent a really long time here." He stood up and kept walking, observing everything while keeping his guard up.
He saw massive walls streaked with dried blood, deep claw marks gouged into stone, and twisted sculptures with their mouths opened wide like they were screaming forever.
He felt like he was in a real life horror movie. "This place is creepy as hell," he muttered, his voice echoing.
[ Hordes of beasts approaching. Level 1-3 beasts, no demons. Get ready... loading quest ] he saw the system message flash across his vision.
[Quest: Kill all the beasts, survive the first waves.

"Wait, hordes of beasts? Like tons of beasts are coming at once, and only 5 thousand fucking points? Fuck... ohh, Fire Affinity Comprehension, that’s great. Well, I guess the rewards are fair," he muttered, tightening his grip on his sword.
That’s when he felt it. The ground started shaking. They were coming. He could feel it in his bones, in the vibrations under his boots.
Ba dump! Ba dump!! Ba dump!!
His heart started beating really fast. Beads of sweat trickled down from his forehead, but it wasn’t fear. It was anticipation. His blood was heating up.
He took his stance and readied his sword. "Come."
As the word left his mouth, the beasts rushed forward. He saw them charging at him, angry, spit dripping from their maws, long claws scraping against stone. Their eyes glowed red in the dark.
They were different types of beasts. Hulking, scaled creatures with horns, twisted wolf like things with too many teeth, and some beasts resembling dogs but twice the size, muscles rippling under matted fur. But they were only level one beasts. For now.
Lynx charged at the beasts. His sword blazed with fire, adrenaline surging through his veins, eyes filled with fighting intent. The flames licked up the blade and cast dancing shadows on the walls.
His grip on his sword tightened more than ever. With all his strength, he swung at one approaching dog-like beast that leapt at him.
His sword met the beast mid-air and sliced through it like butter. The beast split in two before it even realized it was dead. His sword is really sharp.
Blood sprayed across his face, hot and thick. He didn’t even blink.
He sensed another at his side. Instinct took over. He spun around and cut through the beast’s skull, splitting it open like a rotten fruit. Brains and blood splattered behind him.
Then he felt a sharp pain at his back. Apparently, he hadn’t fought before in all his life, so the beasts used his inexperience.
While he was occupied with some, the others used the opening and delivered a blow to him. Claws raked across his back, tearing through his shirt and skin.
Arrrhghghhhhhh!!!
He screamed. "This hurts like hell, what the fuck!" He’d forgotten he was immune to pain. The sensation was foreign, raw, real.
He turned back and used his sword to finish off the beast at his back, driving the blade straight through its chest. Before the corpse even hit the ground, he jumped backwards, putting distance between himself and the pack.
The wound healed in seconds. Skin knitted together, blood stopped flowing. He felt no more pain. He cracked his knuckles, rolled his neck, and stretched. "This feels great. This is the perfect place to train. I’m coming with full force."
With that, he charged again.
This time he was prepared. He moved like a storm. Ducking under slashing claws, he slid between two beasts and sliced upward, gutting one and decapitating the other in a single motion. He delivered powerful punches that caved in ribs, and kicks that sent beasts flying into the walls.
As he killed, he moved forward step by step. He didn’t use any skills. More like he couldn’t. They were locked. He use just brute force and his sword. He entered the flow state. Killing and killing and killing. His breathing became rhythm. His sword became extension of his arm.
"Wow, my sword is really sharp. Is that all you guys got?" he grinned, blood dripping from the blade.
As if they heard him, the ground trembled harder. More beasts came out, but these were different. Level three beasts. Bigger. Faster. Their hide was like armor, and their claws could crack stone.
His grip tightened on the sword. His body was already drenched with blood. Clothes torn, skin painted red. Blood flowed through the grooves of the floor like water. He looked like a handsome demon with that grin, eyes blazing.
The level three beasts were more brutal and stronger. They had no intelligence, but their strength and speed made up for it. One lunged so fast it was just a blur. freeweɓnovel.cѳm
Lynx barely raised his sword in time. Steel screamed against claw as he was pushed back a step. His boots skidded on the bloody ground.
Another came from the side. He spun, blade flashing, and severed its leg. It howled and crashed down, but two more replaced it instantly. They were relentless. No fear, no retreat.
Lynx had a hard time with these beasts, but he didn’t fall, not once. He bled, he stumbled, he got hit, but he always rose.
He started using the environment. He kicked off a wall to gain height, came down with a fire coated slash that split a beast from shoulder to hip. He used corpses as stepping stones, leaping over the pile to avoid being surrounded.
The ground by now was already filled with corpses, and it kept piling up. Bodies stacked on bodies, blood forming small rivers. The stench of iron and burnt flesh filled the air.
Lynx stood in the middle of it all, chest heaving, sword dripping, grin still on his face. "More," he whispered. "Send more."
Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!
The next wave was already coming.
