The beast lunged forward with it’s sharp claws, preparing to tear Lynx apart. Lynx twisted, drove his sword down, and sliced through bone and flesh in one brutal move.

Thick Hot blood sprayed across his face. The beast staggered, a wet gurgle tearing from his throat, then collapsed with a heavy thud.

’There goes the last one for now’ Lynx thought.

He has been battling level 1 to 5 beast in the past month. Without food, or rest.

He was dead tired. Even with his immunity, he still isn’t immune to hunger after a month without food.

As the beast fell down dead. Lynx fell down too, while he plunged his sword into the ground to keep his balance. The place was still pitch black, but he could see everything as clear as day.

He heard the familiar system sound in his head. "Took you long enough" he grinned, his lips cracking from dryness. He fell down flat on top of the dead beasts, blood everywhere. Tons of Beast corpse piled, while he lay at the top.

He could feel it, a burning sensation tearing through his veins, his head was spinning. He let out a growl, one resembling a beast. If one looks closer you could see smoke whips coming out from his body.

For 5 seconds he felt the pain, everything about the fire affinity, new, ancient, rare, flooded his mind. His head felt so full, then his immunity kicks in. He slumped back again, chest heaving, breathing heavily.

He could feel it.

It felt as if he has been using the fire affinity since he was born. He raised his palm and without saying anything, a fire ball floated on his palm, it felt warm.

He grinned, ’this is amazing’ he said to himself. He stood up again and shot the fire ball to a statue that was across the place.

The statue exploded, everything burnt to ash. ’Damn this is strong’. He slumped again.

"System dude, I thought I was supposed to be immune to pain, what the fuck is all this? I feel pain for two to five seconds before it’s stops" he said out loud, he didn’t have the strength and energy anymore to talk mentally with the system.

He saw the beasts and some goblins and other creatures he couldn’t comprehend. They were running, snarling, making loud noises.

"Shit, I feel like I’m in a video game, but these are one ugly goblins, what the hell are those crawling things, how are they crawling that fast". His grip on his sword tightened.
