Chapter 1152: Chapter 1152: I Plan to Marry Him

Janelle Tollman remained silent and did not argue with her mother’s viewpoint.

Although she had known Wayne Archer for a long time, perhaps because they were too familiar, she had never felt that heart-fluttering sensation between a man and a woman.

But whenever she was with Arthur Sutton, she felt a stirring in her heart.

"Mom, if I plan to marry him, would you oppose it?"

Mrs. Tollman smiled: "Why would I oppose? As long as you like him, that’s all that matters. Besides, I’m just worried he might have other thoughts, but from what I see now, he hasn’t done anything wrong, and the two kids have a good relationship with him. The most important thing in marriage is whether the feelings between the two people are harmonious. As long as you both like each other, mom will definitely support your decision."

Janelle’s previously wavering heart became much more firm because of her mother’s words.

She returned to her room, showered, and lay on the bed, holding her phone and looking at Arthur Sutton’s chat page for a long time.

She organized a lot of words in her mind, but in the end, she didn’t send any messages.

She felt that such an important matter was better discussed face to face tomorrow.

As a result, Janelle didn’t sleep well the entire night.

Even more unfortunate, Arthur Sutton informed her the next day that he had to travel out of town for an inspection, which would take nearly a week.

At first, Janelle thought that having a week’s gap to seriously consider things might be a good idea.

After waiting a day, Janelle found that once this thought was in her heart, she couldn’t suppress the inner turmoil and every minute and second of waiting seemed torturous.

Incidentally, when Audrey Sutton came to the store to order perfume, she had added her on WhatsApp, and Janelle learned from Audrey Sutton’s new social media post the city where Arthur Sutton was on a business trip.

After checking that the high-speed train to the city would take just over an hour, she impulsively bought a ticket and traveled to the city where Arthur Sutton was that very evening.

But the city is so big, she didn’t know exactly where Arthur Sutton was.

After disembarking without knowing where to go, she sat at the square in front of the station for a long time, looking up at the large "Dargan Station" sign above the station entrance. Suddenly, an idea popped into her head.

She took out her phone, snapped a picture, and posted a social media update only visible to Arthur Sutton: "Meeting an old friend."

She initially thought her idea was flawless but then worried that since Arthur Sutton rarely posts updates on social media, what if he wouldn’t notice this seemingly insignificant post?

Thinking about this made Janelle a bit disheartened, starting to worry about what to do if Arthur Sutton didn’t see the message.

While she was feeling anxious, a message alert from Arthur Sutton appeared on the screen.

Janelle breathed a big sigh of relief and quickly opened the chat page.

Arthur Sutton: [You’re in Dargan?]

Janelle hurriedly replied: [Yes, I came to take care of something and see a friend.]

Arthur Sutton: [I’m on a business trip nearby, the hotel is not far from the train station, shall I come over to pick you up?]

Without waiting for Janelle’s response, Arthur Sutton added: [Or have you already made plans with your friend?]

Janelle feigned surprise knowingly: [You’re on a business trip here? What a coincidence!]

Then she found an excuse and said: [It’s too late today, I arranged to meet her tomorrow.]

Arthur Sutton: [Then I’ll come to find you now.]

Janelle politely said: [No need, really, it’s too much trouble.]

After thinking for a moment, she asked: [Which hotel are you staying at? I’ll take a cab and find you.]

Arthur Sutton: [Just wait for me at the station, I’ll contact you when I arrive.]

Janelle looked at the phone screen and couldn’t help but curl her lips into a smile, feeling that her plan was even more successful than she had imagined.
