Chapter 58: The Poison Plot Pt. 2
Kathy got up and took the cup that the servant brought along with the pitcher of fruit wine. Then she turned her back to Fate for just a moment, pouring the fruit wine into his drink.
As Kathy did so, she popped open a ring on her finger, and a deadly poison powder fell out of it into Fate’s drink. It bubbled for a second, then went back to normal.
Kathy walked over to Fate and handed him the cup, all while observing him with the eyes of a predator watching her prey.
Kathy figured that Amara was not happy with her taking her job of killing Fate away from her.
Kathy apologized to Amara internally for a moment and promised to mention to the prince how hard Ruby and Amara were working on his behalf.
Nimrod wanted Fate’s wealth just as much as Kathy. Because then he would marry her and help Kathy take her mother’s position.
Fate took the glass from Kathy and noted that her skin was nowhere near as creamy and silky smooth as Amara’s and Ruby’s. He wondered how they achieved this and concluded it must be the power of the Phoenix.
Fate looked at the fruit wine and smiled at Kathy, saying to her, "Kathy, you know you’re not such a bad person after all. But I still can’t marry you; my heart already belongs to others."
Fate finished saying this and drank the fruit wine, then set the cup down on the table. Kathy could not believe her luck; it actually worked.
Kathy cried out, saying, "Ha ha, Fate Grimsever, you pig bastard! I bet you never thought I would poison you. Now that you are about to die, I can tell you that everything you have after your death will be inherited by me. I will make sure that the prince takes good care of your slave servants. They might even be set free if he wishes for that. Then he and I can be married. With the help of Prince Nimrod Bloodsworn, my mother’s title will soon be in my hands, and a lot sooner than I originally planned. Who knew you would be so trusting of your fiancée?"
As Kathy was ranting on about her plans for Fate’s vast wealth, he grew dumbfounded by her ideas. What does she mean, my slave servants? He would never use slave labor of any kind.
In fact, Ruby assured him that all of the slaves in his territory had already been set free. The women running around everywhere here were Amara’s and Ruby’s subordinates.
Kathy then looked at Amara and, with a giant smile on her face, said to her, "Sister Amara, there is no need to continue to suffer at the hands of this virgin. I’m well aware that the reason you and Ruby serve Fate is because you both wish to help bring him down. Don’t worry, Sister Amara, I’m already aware of your feelings for Nimrod. I will be sure to tell him about your and Ruby’s efforts on his behalf. If you’re lucky, a fine woman like you may even be considered as a substitute concubine if something happens to the other candidates. As for Ruby, she will be placed under Maria’s command to learn how to be a proper woman."
Amara, hearing all of this while still sitting on her husband’s lap and with a dumbfounded look, was about to say something when Fate whispered in her ear, "Let’s play along, honey."
When she heard this, Amara’s face grew excited. This was her moment to get even more face-slapping experience that Ruby wanted her to get. So, now excited, Amara said to Kathy, "Kathy, you are absolutely right. Is it true that I can be free of Fate now?"
Kathy, now standing in front of Amara with a giant smile on her face, said, "Of course I’m telling you the truth, Amara. You have no idea how much Prince Nimrod wishes for you to join his harem. He speaks about both you and Ruby all the time. If I did not know how attractive I am, this would make me think Nimrod is obsessed with you both. But he has me and Maria, so I’m sure he is very satisfied. But don’t worry, you will still get to experience bliss with Nimrod. Even before me, after all, I have to save myself for marriage and can’t easily be with Nimrod until after he graduates and becomes king. I need a man that matches my status as the heir to a duchy."
Then Kathy took Amara’s hand in her own and led her over to the balcony of the dining hall that overlooked Valoria. The mid-morning air felt cool on Kathy’s face as she took a look out over the city.
Holding Amara’s hand in her own, Kathy, with the sun facing her back, looked like a glorious, flat-chested angel.
With a smile on her face and a halo of golden sunlight behind her head, Amara had to admit if she were stupid, she would almost fall for this little girl’s lies.
Too bad for Kathy and, by extension, Nimrod, that Fate only surrounds himself with crazy women who the protagonist’s and heroines’ halo have no effect on.
If anything, their idiocy and foolishness instead disgust them and increase their favorability for Fate. Someone who was only ever supposed to be a minor opening act villain.
But he was always ridiculed by players of *Blissful Paradise* as the most hated character due to his overwhelming wealth and the fact that he gets himself killed in so many different ways.
It was rumored that there has never been a repeat in the way Fate’s character dies in the game. Each playthrough of the game offers a new and exciting way for Fate to get killed.
After holding Amara’s smooth hands, Kathy suddenly frowned. How does this woman have no calluses on her hands? They were flawless. That should be impossible for a warrior like Amara who wields a giant mace when fighting.
Kathy grew uneasy as deep jealousy began to bloom in her heart, Kathy thought perhaps it’s best to eliminate this new sister of hers along with Ruby after Nimrod has had his fill of them. After all, Kathy can’t deny her future husband a few carnal pleasures since they have to wait so many years to get married.
With this new plan formed, Kathy said to Amara, "Now you are free, my sister, and your feelings for Nimrod Bloodsworn can be realized. At this very moment, everything that the sun touches and the shadows hide has become my domain. With the death of that tyrant, I’m now the sole and legal ruler of the Southern Hampshire Plains. With me here, no one will dare to bully you and Ruby again."
Suddenly, Amara began to cry bitter tears as she cried out, "Really? I’m really free?"
Kathy nodded her head, feeling some sympathy for her husband’s new concubine. Perhaps she could be left alive for now.
Still holding her hands, Kathy gently consoled Amara as she cried out about the injustice of this world and its treatment of stupid people like her.
Kathy began to frown. What is this woman talking about?
Then suddenly, before Kathy knew what happened, Fate, who should be dead right now, walked up and appeared behind Amara, his face looking pale with his eyes devoid of pupils, and blood dripping from his mouth. Kathy, seeing this, suddenly screamed, "Aaahhh! Zo-Zo-Zombieeee!"
Kathy knew if she got bitten by Fate, she would become a zombie as well. She just became too rich to become a zombie now.
So, Kathy did what anyone should in this situation as the new Duchess of the Southern Hampshire Plains: Kathy sacrificed the pawn in front of her.
Pushing Amara into the waiting arms of the zombie Fate as he bit into her neck and blood began to spray from the wound, Kathy knew she could not make it past Fate to run. So, Kathy looked out over the balcony and noticed the moat of water below. Kathy knew as the new ruler of this domain there was no way the Carnival Fish would hurt her. So, without hesitation, Kathy jumped over the railing and fell several hundred feet into the cold water below.
But perhaps by some coincidence—or perhaps even curse—it was whatever Kathy considered it to be.
At the very moment she was about to hit the water below, Ruby could be spotted manning the cowapult when a certain sound was heard.

That’s right, after doing Fate’s makeup to look like a zombie, Ruby rushed down here to fire a cow at this bitch. In fact, Ruby has big plans for this cowapult.
*Bang*
The cow traveled into the air as its ass smacked Kathy in her face.
Then somehow, if this was not enough, the udderly delicious milk of this cow flew out of its udder and smacked Kathy in the face.
Followed by a scene too udderly disturbing to be described as Kathy came face to face with the cow’s nutritious and delicious source of vitamin C.
Kathy was smacked into a nearby building after being hit by this cow.
*Bang*
Kathy screamed out in anguish, "Wahhh! It’s everywhere. It’s not nutritious or delicious. Whaaa, why me?"
