After giving Ruby and Amara their punishment for being gone so long, Fate went down to his reception hall to meet a guest who had come to see him.
Fate was surprised that Kathy Primrose chose to visit him after disappearing a few days ago, fleeing from Fate’s insults in tears.
Amara chose to join Fate in this meeting at Ruby’s insistence because she claimed that Amara needed to practice face-slapping women if they approached their husband, Fate, with ill intentions.
Ruby wanted to continue playing mad scientist with her new plans for a plant legion.
She had ideas for creating new weapons that could help the Blood Maidens on their continued mission to rob people blind and assassinate women who got too close to Fate with bad intentions.
If you’re wondering why they don’t take out Kathy Primrose, the answer to this question is very simple: Fate is only into older, more mature women, not younger women like Kathy and Maria.
Fate, now joined by Amara, walked into the main hall of Shadow Spire Citadel. Fate sat down on a Black Obsidian Marble throne covered in gold and jewels.
Fate was forced to accept this gift from Amara, who said it was unacceptable for him to meet others in the future without being able to look down on them. Fate must always be the one to look down on others.
For some reason, there was a growing number of thrones surrounding Fate’s. They sat at a lower level, but Fate knew one belonged to Ruby on his right and Amara on his left. But who were the third and fourth thrones for?
Fate just figured it was best not to ask too many questions that might disrupt his peaceful life, occasional assassination attempts aside.
Looking at the flat-chested Kathy in her purple gown, Fate said to Kathy, as Amara sat on his lap in a provocative manner while she looked at Kathy as well,
"Kathy, what brought you to see me today?"
Kathy saw the vixen sitting on her fiancé’s lap with a look of disgust on her face and said,
"Fate Grimsever, you bastard, I’ve been in town for several days now, and all I hear about you is your daily lustful activities with these two pet women that you keep by your side. Have you no shame? You are an engaged man."
Fate reached his hand under Amara and began to pinch her butt a bit. This made Amara’s usually cold face turn red with embarrassment.
Then Fate said to Kathy,
"Kathy, I never agreed to marry you. That was a decision made by my father and mother on my behalf before they were assassinated. As a result, I became the head of the Grimsever family as its last surviving member. Why would I tie myself down to a little girl like you? I’m into more mature and faithful women. I may like to remain ignorant, Kathy, but don’t for one second think I’m not aware that you are currently living in the home of the crown prince."
Kathy stomped her foot on the ground in frustration at these words. How dare this bastard say that he does not want to marry her?
It’s supposed to be her who breaks off this marriage after she extracts all of Fate’s wealth and military personnel for her goal of taking over her mother’s position as Grand Duchess.
Kathy hated her mother, Catherine Primrose. She never gave Kathy any spending money other than what she needed. Her mother always spoke of the importance of maintaining a budget.
But Kathy knew that woman only liked to spend money on herself. How else does she eat meals worth hundreds of gold crowns on a daily basis?
Kathy looked at Fate and said to him,
"Fate, don’t think I’m going to let you out of this engagement so easily. My mother will never allow it. Every time I see her, she asks me if I’m married yet. Then she says if I am not, to not bother coming back. My mother is so mean to me, Fate. Listen, I know that I have made some mistakes by staying with Prince Nimrod in his palace, but I have nowhere else to stay until school opens. Can you take me in? I’ve decided not to give up on us."
Fate released his hand from Amara’s butt and then looked seriously at Kathy, saying,
"Kathy, after everything you said the last time we met at Bloomspire Academy, you have certainly had a change of heart. But I have not forgotten the things you said to me. You may not have said that you wanted to call off our engagement a few days ago, but I know you well enough to know that you have no desire to marry an incredibly handsome and rich man like myself. You remind me of a rat that has lost its favorite piece of cheese. I know that while you say these things to me, inside your heart, you can’t give up on that stinky piece of cheese you call Prince Nimrod."
Kathy was actually stupid enough to nod her head in agreement with this statement. But then, catching herself, Kathy quickly said to Fate,
"No, Fate, that’s not true. I don’t care about that incredibly handsome and powerful Crown Prince or his vast fortune. I only have you in my heart, just like I always have."
Kathy almost threw up saying these words. How could Fate ever match up to her glorious Prince Charming, Nimrod?
Fate is nothing in her eyes, but his wealth and military power will be of great use to her and the prince.
Kathy wanted to present Fate’s head to the prince in an attempt to secure a marriage proposal from Nimrod as his future queen. The prince even gave Kathy some powerful poison to kill Fate with.
Kathy knew that after Fate dies, as the last person with any sort of legal connection to Fate, she would inherit everything that he has, as per the laws of the Kingdom of Westridge.
Fate, listening to these words, smiled with a satisfied look on his face.
This made Kathy think that her pleas were successful. Fate was about to speak to Kathy when Amara stood up from his lap and said to Kathy,
"Kathy Primrose, how dare you come into my husband’s house and say that you care for him. I’m well aware of your plans for Fate. He is a great man with an infinite capacity for compassion. However, I am not such an individual. I am a merciless, cold-blooded killer who will not hesitate to act in my husband’s best interests, even if he refuses to. You claim to come here with the intention of getting married to Fate. But what about the plans you have to seize my hubby’s money and military power by poisoning him to death? I can smell a green tea bitch like you from a mile away. After all, my sister Ruby trained me a lot when I arrived in Valoria to spot any woman who has ill intentions towards my husband."
Kathy jumped in shock from this statement. Then she backed a few steps away from Fate, saying,
"Lies, lies, and slander! How dare a lowly concubine like you speak this way to Fate’s future legal wife? We are already married in all but name anyway, as decreed by our parents. This is an agreement that is legally binding and cannot be broken unless a member of the royal family nullifies our engagement. Besides, I would never have any ill intentions towards Fate. What kind of woman do you think I am?"

"My, my, how cute you are, Kathy. Of course, you are what is called a gold digger, not to be confused with Maria, who is just a hoe. It’s a great surprise to me that Nimrod seems to only surround himself with the most vile and worthless of women. It’s almost as if he is even more stupid than the two of you are. Don’t be confused by my words, Kathy. The stupid and useless women around Nimrod are you and that white lotus of a maid, Maria Valine."
Kathy jumped three feet into the air at these harsh names she was being called. Her long black hair tied up in two pigtails went flying into the air as well.
She resembled a nasty little rat that had lost its favorite piece of cheese.
While still in the air, Kathy pointed her finger at Amara and said out loud,
"You bitch, how dare you say that to me."
Amara wondered how Kathy was staying suspended three feet in the air like that while she yelled at her. Is this woman so full of hot air that she can float now?
Or is it just her lack of an upper chest region that makes this possible? Suddenly, a great face-slapping statement came to Amara’s mind as she said,
"Wow, Kathy, you are sure good at staying in the air for long periods of time. Unlike me, my beasts of burden weigh me down far too much."
Then, to demonstrate her point, Amara bounced her large chest in full view of Fate.
Then Amara continued, saying to Kathy,
"Oh man, it must be nice to not have to worry about gravity holding you down like me, Kathy. You will never know the burdens that I must carry on my shoulders as a real woman."
Then again, Amara showed her ample chest to Kathy as she bounced it up and down in front of Fate.
Kathy looked like she was having a heart attack as she finally fell out of the air, landing on the ground and twitching violently.
Amara gave a happy shout.
"Knockout!"
