Maria cried as she carried out her duty to clean up Nimrod. No matter what hardships she must endure, she would never regret betraying her old master, Fate Grimsever.

Nimrod thought he heard crying but knew that no one would dare cry in front of him unless they were begging for mercy. So he just ignored it and enjoyed the bath from Maria.
He was also getting used to the new teeth that Bruno paid for him to get from the church. He had to be knocked out while they made them regrow with magic, but he did not think too much about it, assuming that the procedure was just painful and Bishop Gary wanted to help Nimrod get through it easier.
When he was done being cleaned, Maria asked Nimrod, "My lord, why did you have to get your new teeth before I was able to clean you up from Bishop Gary’s unfortunate accident?"
Nimrod smiled with a proud look on his face and said, "Maria, as the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Westridge, how can I be seen in front of my loyal subjects without any teeth in my mouth? I’m just grateful that Bruno came by to pay for the procedure since I left my coin purse in my other pants."
That brought Maria to her second question. "My lord, I have yet to be paid for the services that I have provided for you as your maid."
When Nimrod heard Maria ask to be paid, he immediately started to search around his room in a dramatic fashion as he said, "What happened to my coin purse? It was here just a moment ago with my new change of clothes. Maria, I can’t seem to find it right now. Oh no, this is not good. Guards! Guards! Come take Maria to her room, then seal the palace. It looks like my coin purse went missing. We have a thief running around."
The royal guards stormed into the room with a fierce but bored look on their faces. It was almost as if they were used to their lord claiming that he misplaced his coin purse and using them to bail him out of paying his debts.
When Maria left with a dissatisfied look on her face, Nimrod had a happy look on his face. Then, looking around to make sure the coast was clear, Nimrod pushed his bed aside and pulled open a trap door that led into a small cellar that he used to store his ill-gotten bribes and wealth.
Nimrod opened one of the many chests in the room. When he did, the pleased smile he had on his face went blank. His first chest was empty.
Frightened, Nimrod ran to another chest that was supposed to be full of platinum crowns. This chest was empty as well. Nimrod, with a panicked look on his face, said, "What the hell is going on? What happened to my wealth? It’s gone. Dad is going to freak out if I can’t send him the money I’m supposed to collect from various countries in Valoria as bribes for being able to attend Bloomspire Academy."
That’s right, Nimrod’s father engages in a practice that is as old as schooling. Samuel Bloodsworn sells admittance slots under the table to foreign nobles who can’t make the cut to attend through the normal admission process.
Nimrod began to check all of the many chests in the cellar. All of them were empty. He had been robbed. Then a thought suddenly struck him. Could he have been robbed by that lunatic group of thieves that have been robbing the enemies of Fate Grimsever lately? No one knows who they are or how they get into the underground vaults of homes, but they somehow do. These people take everything from the floor tiles to the potted plants from the homes of these merchants and nobles. Even the bread in the pantry is not spared. Nimrod wondered what these thieves need bread for, but they take it anyway.
Nimrod was so frightened that he jumped out of the cellar without even using the ladder. Landing on his feet, Nimrod cried out, "Guards! Guards! I’ve been robbed!"

Nimrod looked at these men as if they were the idiots and not him. Then he slapped one of them on the face, saying, "You idiots! It’s for real this time! The treasury has been robbed! If my father finds out about your failure, you’re dead meat. Sound the alarm and seal the palace."
The guards wondered how it was their fault Nimrod got robbed. But when they heard Nimrod mention his father Samuel holding them accountable, they became terrified. freёwebnovel.com
Nimrod did the thing that all nobility do; he pushed the blame for this robbery off on his guards. Nimrod did not even stop to consider that his blatant attacks on Fate would have such serious consequences. This was far worse than a kick to his national treasure or losing a few teeth. This was about money—the source of his father’s love for Nimrod. Samuel only made Nimrod the crown prince because he is so good at making stupid people give him obscene amounts of money for the most foolish of things.
The royal palace located in Valoria was quickly sealed off, and an extensive search was carried out, but they found nothing. Nimrod failed to realize that there is a growing group of lunatics that have targeted him, and since their master has ordered that they can’t kill Nimrod, now they are determined to cause him problems however they can. This revenge is only the beginning for Ruby and Amara.
It was truly a great day for Ruby and Amara because, for them, the most enjoyable time outside of being with their husband is the plans they are making to torment the various people who keep trying to harm Fate. Among the people included in this list are Maria Valine, Nimrod Bloodsworn, Bishop Gary Oldman, Bruno, and Dimwit Pringle. Soon, Kathy Primrose would be added to this list. Kathy finally found the prince after he was robbed, and when he heard how Fate insulted the Grand Duchess, Nimrod sent letters to both Catherine and Nyssara, letting them know about Fate’s actions.
Nimrod assured Catherine that he would look after her daughter, Kathy Primrose, until she arrived. While he used his connection with Dirk Darkmoon to get Nyssara to make a trip to the Southern Hampshire Plains and punish Fate for stealing her property, Nimrod even had her son make up a very convincing story on how Fate stole the spatial pouch from Bloomspire Academy.
