Chapter 57: Silvermere [1]
All three of them nodded in understanding.
Then they all started walking toward the door on the left.
But just then, Aron stood up and said, "Since you guys helped me this time, I will treat you to drinks today. It’s my treat, so drink all you want."
All three of them stopped and looked at him before saying, "Okay, it will wash away today’s stress caused by your brother."
Then Aron walked toward them and said, "Okay then, let’s go to our usual place to drink."
Then all of them left together for drinks.
In the middle of the journey, Aron said, "By the way, could you guys look after my brother again if he goes outside the Academy again?"
Hearing this, all three of them stopped. Then one of them said, "I knew something was wrong when he suggested drinks. But for your question, our answer is no. We are not doing that again no matter what you do."
Aron then said with a sad expression, "Why? Aren’t we friends? We should help each other in our difficult times."
The three of them looked at Aron for a few seconds before another one finally spoke.
"We are your friends, not your brother’s babysitters."
The first one then added, "And because of him, we almost got dragged into trouble with the Academy today."
Aron scratched his head awkwardly and said, "Nothing even happened in the end, right?"
One of them immediately replied, "That is because your brother was lucky this time."
Just like that they kept arguing until they reached their destination.
Meanwhile, inside Asher’s room.
Asher was sleeping without a care when he suddenly woke up and thought, "So only four weeks until I reach Master rank. That’s good."
Asher had just received information from his other vessels.
At first, he could only control ten vessels, but after some time, he found a solution to that problem, and it was actually very simple. Just keep them connected, but do not share the perception and memories of every vessel at the same time. Instead, they only shared the most important information with each other occasionally, an amount the human brain could handle at once.
All of them had their own unique experiences, but they constantly exchanged their battle experience and knowledge about elements with each other. And if a vessel died, then all the information of that vessel would be transferred to the nearest vessel.
As for the chances of a vessel betraying the others, there were none. In the end, they were all the same person, and if you cannot even trust yourself, then who can you trust?
The next day.
The Silvermere Family estate was located in one of the richest areas of the city. The entire estate was surrounded by tall walls and heavily guarded by armed guards day and night. Advanced security systems and cameras were installed all around the estate.
The main mansion was a massive modern building made of white marble, glass, and steel. It looked luxurious and elegant but also gave off a cold atmosphere. Expensive decorations, crystal chandeliers, and modern furniture could be seen everywhere inside the mansion.
In front of the mansion was a large fountain surrounded by beautiful gardens while behind it were training grounds, a swimming pool, and several other buildings used for meetings and security purposes.
Just by looking at the estate, anyone could understand the wealth and influence possessed by the Silvermere Family.
Inside the estate, a man was walking in a hurry.
He was Carter, a 60-year-old man and also the head butler of the Silvermere Family.
He was heading toward the family head’s office because of the message he had just received from Aron Astrean, the heir of one of the three duke families.
He was walking down the corridor when someone called out to him from behind.
Carter looked back to see the person who had just called him. ƒreewebɳovel.com
Then he saw a man with blue eyes and silver hair standing there with a calm expression.
That man was Calvin Silvermere, the heir of the Silvermere Family and also a Master. He was only 27 this year and had reached the Master rank a year ago, making him known as the genius of his generation.
Calvin looked at Carter and asked in a concerned tone, "What happened, Uncle Carter? You seem to be in a hurry. Where are you going? Did something happen?"
Calvin was a man with a good reputation and public image unlike his younger brother. He treated everyone with respect, and everyone in the family liked and supported him.
Carter looked at Calvin and said, "I was going to the family head because of a message I just received from the heir of the Astrean Family. And Young Master, you should not call me Uncle anymore. You are now the heir, and I am just a butler."
Calvin just smiled after hearing that and said, "No matter what position I have, you are still elder than me and have taken care of me all my childhood like a real uncle, so I will continue calling you Uncle Carter."
Hearing this, Carter could only sigh helplessly.
Then Calvin asked again, "What did the heir of the Astrean Family say?"
Carter hesitated for a moment before answering, "Young Master Aron informed us about another incident caused by Young Master Cedric at the Academy yesterday."
Calvin just sighed at this and said "That idiot brother of mine did something again to got in trouble and this time even with Astrean family, he will get himself disowned if he kept doing this"
Then Calvin continued, "Please don’t report it to Father. He is already very angry because of Cedric’s previous incidents, and I don’t want him to become even more angry. So I will handle this matter myself."
Carter did not give any answer.
Then Calvin said, "Don’t worry about this matter. If anything goes wrong, I will take full responsibility for it. Nothing will happen to you, so don’t worry."
