Chapter 391: Chapter 393: Stop the Car
I Love Work was in a full-blown panic. Her body wouldn’t stop shivering, and her lips trembled.
She shrieked, "Stop the bus! Stop the bus, now!"
The other passengers on the bus were startled by her reaction.
They all turned their heads to look at her.
"What’s wrong with you?"
"Do you need to use the bathroom or something?"
I Love Work paid them no mind. She even started grabbing other passengers, trying to convince them to make the bus stop.
"This bus is about to crash! It’s going to fall off the overpass, and we’re all going to die!"
"Huh?"
"Miss, are you out of your mind?"
The driver at the front glanced back at her but said nothing as the bus continued on its way.
There was even a wary look in his eyes, as if he was worried this crazy person might try to grab the steering wheel.
’This is definitely not going to work!’
’What are we supposed to do? There are only five minutes left!’
’Can’t the host give her a hint or something?’
I Love Work was covered in sweat. She felt as if she’d been plunged into icy water, a chill seeping into her heart.
It was completely useless!
The threat of death drew closer and closer, yet she was powerless to stop it.
Seeing her in such a state of uncontrollable panic, many people silently scooted away from her.
They suspected there was something wrong with her head.
Only two people had overheard her conversation with Su Nian, but even their expressions were a bit strange now.
’Could it be that she’s really not all there?’
’Or is that self-proclaimed fortune-telling master just too good at brainwashing?’
’How did they turn her into such a crazed mess?’
The people on the bus remained unmoved, some even distancing themselves from her, which only made I Love Work even more frantic.
Suddenly, she clutched her chest as if in terrible pain. "My chest hurts! Stop the bus! Stop the bus!!"
The other passengers once again moved farther away from her.
But a few shot her a worried glance. Seeing her contorted expression, they hesitated.
"Maybe she really is sick?"
"Her expression looks really off."
"Maybe we should stop and let her catch her breath?"
The bus driver sighed in resignation and glanced back at her.
"Young lady, don’t worry. I’ll drive faster and get you to a hospital right away."
Standing next to I Love Work, a tall, thin, scholarly-looking young man with glasses spoke up.
He had heard her entire conversation with Su Nian and thought there must be something seriously wrong with both of them.
He scoffed, "Could you stop the act, lady? You’re not even holding your chest!"
’I know I shouldn’t be laughing, but I just can’t help it!’
’LMAO, I’m dying!’
’Is this really the time to be focusing on that?!’
’Oh, for crying out loud!’
I Love Work’s face froze in embarrassment. Just as she was about to make an excuse, the man continued his mockery.
"I just heard you on the phone with some streamer, and that streamer was saying there’d be a car crash and everyone on board would die."
"Go ahead and listen to her nonsense. It’s all fake. Only a fool like you would believe it."
An older woman sitting at the back of the bus gasped and covered her mouth. "Is this some new kind of scam? I’ve been to police seminars about this! My anti-scam awareness is top-notch. You’ve definitely been tricked."
"Not necessarily. It could also be a pyramid scheme."
"So, you’re saying she’s been brainwashed?"
The conversation’s direction and focus had once again gone astray. I Love Work was at a loss.
Now, anytime she opened her mouth, people would just see her as some brainwashed idiot.
No one would believe her anymore.
"Master?"
I Love Work looked toward Su Nian through teary eyes. No one believed her, and the driver was clearly annoyed, thinking she was just making a scene.
"Turn up the volume."
The moment I Love Work heard that, she understood. No amount of explaining could compare to a direct experience to make others believe.
"Turn the camera around."
I Love Work nodded and flipped her camera.
Su Nian could now see the people inside the bus much more clearly.
A black miasma filled the entire cabin. This thick, deathly aura had even attracted a few ghosts, who were now clinging to the bus windows.
They stared menacingly at the people inside.
"You all have three minutes until you die."
Su Nian’s cold, clear voice emerged from the phone.
The passengers couldn’t help but roll their eyes.
"So that’s the scammer streamer?"
"The leader of this pyramid scheme has a pretty nice voice, actually."
"I’m not falling for it. My anti-scam awareness is definitely the strongest!"
"There are three ghosts clinging to the bus."
As Su Nian spoke, she lit a stick of incense.
The anti-scam auntie wiped her nose disdainfully, her tone defiant. "Stop bluffing! There are no such things as ghosts in this world!"
"Yeah, seriously! How annoying can you be? One minute you’re saying we’ll die, the next you’re saying there are ghosts!"
"I’m in a hurry to get home! Can you just stop causing trouble?!"
The passengers grew even more agitated, glaring unkindly at I Love Work and the phone in her hand as they all complained.
SCREECH!
But suddenly, the bus slammed on its brakes and lurched to a halt.
The bus driver’s face was a mask of terror, deathly pale.
He had seen a woman, clinging to the bus window.
