Chapter 295: Chapter 295 More Changes
Kiara
’Are you willing to accept more changes, my love?’ I quickly ask Maze.
He has to be on the same side as me. Havoc snorts. He moved with me when I silenced his uncle.
’Those who are evil at heart and soul will not ever have a place amongst us. Those who seek mates and a life without fear will always have a home to come to.’ He and Havoc mindlink together. I lean into him and kiss his snout, making Havoc bark with laughter.
"Keres." I say, gathering her attention to me. She snaps her head in my direction, and I raise my hands so she can see I am not trying anything. "You are right! The way demons and people of the shadows have to hide is not fair." I tell her further, and now I have her undivided attention. frёewebηovel.cѳm
"Do not patronize me, child." She spits, but I shake my head, my eyes glowing as Winter comes forward with me.
"As the Queen of wolves and foxes, I, along with my mate and King, decree that all shadow creatures who just want to live a normal quiet life, possibly with a mate and love, always will have a home in the Silver Moon, also known as the Royal, pack with my mate and I." Winter retracts to the back of my mind, as we finish the words that have just become law. "No one should ever be forced to hide just because they are different." I tell her afterwards. Then I look at my fox guards. "No one." I tell them, and they all bow to me. Keres is staring at me with wide eyes, panting and trying to grasp what just happened.
"Did you just.. But why?" She asks, and now her voice is quiet and almost soft. I sigh.
"You were right! No one should have to hide. We will not tolerate people who are evil in their heart and soul, but that goes for wolves, foxes, demons, witches etc. All. But just because you are different should not be a reason to not have a home, or family." I lean up against Havoc. "I should know better than anyone." Havoc growls his agreement. "So, could we please be sent back? We have things to attend to in our pack." Keres stares at me. Then she purses her lips.
"You might have to wait a little to go back. But I just need you and your mate. Can he shift back?" She asks, and this time it’s almost nice, only a slight sneer to it. I look at Havoc, who immediately shifts back to Maze in all his glory. Keres snorts and waves her hand. A pair of shorts appears in front of Maze, who puts them on.
"I am staying with my brother." Amber states, her mate nodding. I almost forgot they were here. Abigail says she’ll go back with Willow and Jax, but they are not satisfied with that. She just stares at them.
"Let the young people solve whatever there is left to solve here." She says, and they finally let up. My guards are not fond of leaving me either, so I tell them two can stay and the rest are going back. Lilith stays as well.
When we are who we need to be here, Keres claps her hands and we end up in the wildflower field. I sigh at the sight. It’s beautiful here. With us is the cage, and from it comes a lot of noise now.
"Who is that?" I ask, and Keres cackles.
"You’ll see." She says as lights blind us from every side and Selene and her sisters appear. What the hell.
"What is the meaning of this?" Selene asks, her voice angry and her eyes shooting lightning as she looks at her sister and then at us. Her eyes land on me, and I just stare right back with crossed arms. Our aura colliding and creating tension someone can cut with a knife. Maze wraps his arms around me, facing off with me. Amber comes to my right with her mate, Lilith, flaking my left with my two guards. All of us are staring at the Goddesses, not saying anything, just staring and daring them to do anything.
"Will someone please explain what is going on?" Inari asks, putting a hand on her sister’s shoulder. I look at the others. One of them has an aura of blood and magic. She must be the Goddess of Vampires, whereas the other has purple magic flowing all around her. The Goddess of fae’s, witches and wizards. Well, well, well. We got all of them there. I should be terrified, but I am mostly pissed off. This is the secret Selene has been keeping from us, I’m sure of it!
"How about you explain the back party." I reply to Inari with a roll of my eyes. She looks back at the other two.
"They are here to help, should it be necessary." She says dismissively, glaring at me. I just raise an eyebrow.
