Chapter 258: Chapter 258 Coronation
Maze
It’s late when we arrive at the pack grounds, but I want to get this over with before going to bed. We have a total of 20 new members, not including Amanda, aunt Sami, uncle, Ben and Benedict. Kiara called mom when we ate dinner and arranged for her to get rooms ready, and tomorrow our Gamma’s will get them situated with housing and work. Amanda is going to bake in the kitchen, which Kiara already cleared with the Head Omega there, and she’ll start in a couple of days. My aunt, uncle and Benedict are going to sleep on the Alpha floor tonight, and tomorrow we’ll take them looking at the bigger houses closer to the packhouse.
We also made sure the other packs were made aware of the situation at White Mountain, and almost all of them said they are willing to take in people, but only if they have the right to throw them out again. I agreed that it is up to the reigning Alpha to determine if a pack member lives up to their responsibilities or not. No one wants troublemakers, but I also implored them that I will have to gather a list of who went where and if someone all of a sudden is classified as a rogue and the reason.
"Alright, everyone please gather over here." I tell the group of people who have followed us tonight. Everyone who was accepted by Kiara first and foremost made haste of packing their things and getting ready to go back with us, so they were sure to be welcomed. "These are our Gamma’s; Joram, Jasper and Jon and their mate Elena. You answer to them after you have been accepted into the pack. They will make sure you have somewhere to sleep tonight, get your occupation and make sure you get assigned to work and get a permanent home. They will get help in the morning by the Queen’s personal assistant, James, who is currently going through all our vacant positions and housing."
"Does everyone have to work?" A female asks in disdain. I single her out.
"Name?"
"Amara, your Grace." She suddenly remembers her manners, well good for her.
"Yes, Amara. Everyone here works for the pack, or outside of the pack, but all uphold a job of some sort. You’ll have to if you want food on the table at the end of the day. We take care of our members, but we do not feed everyone." I tell her sternly, as Kiara stares her down. She swallows.
"Sorry, your Grace." She says, blushing to her roots.
"Our pack does not run like the average pack. We take care of each other, work, fight and party alongside each other. We don’t have to like everyone to be polite. We have our flaws, but we also have leaders who are aware of this." I look out over the crowd. "Is everyone understanding what I’m saying?" People nod, and mutter in agreement.
We get everyone invited, they accept and we welcome them in a mindlink. It takes time as we can only do one at a time, but it’s worth it. Joarm, Jasper, Jon and Elena take over from there, as Kiara and I lead the smaller group inside the packhouse. I made sure Amanda has a room on the Gamma floor, as she seems frightened of most people. Kiara and I talk to her a lot back at White Mountain, and it seems like she became the next victim to Melissa and her cronies, with constant threats of being tossed out as a rogue. Her parents were no better only focusing on her earning money so they could spend them. It’s a Ryan situation all over again, and I know Kiara will not accept this, so before she even said anything I told them Amanda would be staying on the Gamma floor. She seems very flustered by this, but also very grateful. freёweɓnovel.com
When she is situated in her new room, we walk up to the Alpha floor and do the same with Kiara’s family. Then we finally entered our own room and lay down in the bed. I don’t even remember falling asleep, but the next thing I know it’s morning and Kiara is trying to escape me. I tighten my hold on her, and she giggles.
"If you want me to pee on you, keep going." She says, wiggling even more. I groan into the pillow.
"Fine, but you bring your ass back here. I was not done cuddling you!" I tell her, as she runs to the bathroom, her laughter music in my ears. When she comes back in, she sits down on the edge of the bed. I peek up from the pillow. "Did I not speak clearly?" I ask her grumply, but she just smiles.
"You were very clear, but I think we better show our faces downstairs. It’s lunchtime." I groan again ignoring the fact that we have slept very late today.
"But I don’t want to." I tell her, and she slaps my ass really hard. "OW! What the fuck woman." I scream, as Kiara cackles and runs from the bed. I jumped up, following her out the room. "COME BACK HERE YOU VIXEN!" Her mad laughter echoes in the hallway, and I almost run into her father going down to lunch as well I gather. He chuckles, looking after his fleeing daughter and me chasing her.
I finally catch her in the hall outside the kitchen, and lift her from behind, her giggles and laughter giving me life. I throw her over my shoulder caveman style and smacks her ass, as I bring her into the kitchen. freeweɓnovel.cøm
"MAZE! Put me down, asshole." She screams from my shoulder, but I just whistle as if nothing out of the ordinary is going on. The Omega’s are all snickering and smiling.
"Like my prize?" I ask them, my eyes shining with mischief. All of them burst out laughing now.
"A fine prize, your Grace." Amanda says smiling. "But maybe the Queen would like to walk herself?" She asks, and I just tut my tongue.
"Too bad for her. She shouldn’t have fled then." I tell her, smacking Kiara’s ass again and walking to the dining table. The other’s are already there, and I notice another table has been added to accommodate everyone.
"Maze, why are you carrying my daughter-in-law like she is a sack of potatoes?" Mom asks me with eyes shining in suppressed laughter. I snicker.
"Because I caught her." I answer, sitting down, and bringing Kiara to my lap. She stares daggers at me, but I just peck her pouty lips and look at the others, who are all trying their hardest to not laugh.
