The day goes by fairly quickly from there. Kiara forgets her anger when lunch is served, and she wiggles in happiness in my lap. Her enthusiasm for food is unmatched, but I love it. Then dessert is served and I have never in my life seen or tasted anything so heavenly before! Amanda has made a variety of fairy cakes, beautifully decorated, rich chocolate mousse, strawberry cheesecake and lemon pie with meringue on the top. All of us are moaning over the dessert, and afterwards we have to call her into the dining area.
"Those were the best desserts I have ever had in my life, Amanda! You are really talented!" I tell her, and she blush. Kiara agrees, telling her she should open her own shop. Amanda says that is her dream, but her parents always told it was stupid. All of us growl at that.
"There is nothing stupid in dreams." I tell her, quickly mindlinking Kiara, who agrees without hesitation. "And if you still dream about it, we would love to help you. As long as you promise to make us some dessert once in a while?" She stares at me before curtseying.
"I... You would really?" I nod.
"There’s a vacant location just across the street from where my firm is located in the city. I am not there as much as I want to, but you would be so successful! I just know it. We will buy it, if you like it, and we can ask Ryan to make a webpage for you." She agrees to go with us in a couple of days. She has some secret savings, but I am going to buy that building and alter it in whatever way she wants it. The world deserves her desserts available!
After that we do our own thing in the afternoon. Kiara and I take a long bath, followed by some, long overdue, sexy time before taking a shower to get the soap residue off of us. Then we eat dinner in the kitchen with everyone, before going back to our room to change and wait. We play some games, just her and I, having some mate time and decompressing from everything that has happened so far.
As the sun sets and the moon rises we leave the packhouse from the back. Kiara and I are the last to leave. We agreed to do it in pairs or smaller groups so no one would suspect anything. The moon is high in the sky as we enter the small clearing behind the packhouse. It has been sealed by my mother, and when we enter Amber, her family and Willow and Jax are all there, along with my Beta’s. Tears form in my eyes. The gratitude I feel at this moment. They are here to honor Kiara, to defend our family and to accept a new Queen. Love and pride swamps me.
"It’s good to see you, nephew. And this is your beautiful mate? I’m his aunt Willow and this is my mate Jax. We are the rulers of the underworld. You’ll have to come and visit us one day." I smile at my ever optimistic aunt. She is as much of a ball of happy energy as ever. Uncle Jax chuckles and pulls her back.
"Dearest beloved people, we are gathered here today to crown a new Queen and accept a new Luna into our ranks." Abby says with a smile, but then a bright silver light emits from beside her, and the Moon Goddess appears in all her greatness. I have hard tales, and have seen her a few times, but she has never been here because of me.
"Abigail, dear, would you mind?" She asks, and mom slightly bows her head. "This is a joyous occasion, and I am here to bless the couple. And I announce Kiara as the Luna of the Jewel pack, may her reign with her mate be long and prosperous! They are going to be extraordinary, but I am not alone." An orange light lightens up the clearing. "And don’t worry. We have made sure no one but those who are here knows of our presence or your plans. Although I hoped you would have waited for the blue moon, I understand the necessity for doing it now. Inari?" The Goddess of foxes looks around the clearing.
"Today a fox becomes the Queen of werewolves, but she also becomes the ruler of the hidden society of foxes. I have made them aware of your presence, and after tonight all of them will be able to find you, Kiara. You are destined to do great things with your mate by your side, and I am trusting you with this responsibility because you have shown tremendous strength, integrity and sassy attitude to handle all of those bastards. They will come to you, and you have to convince them to fight. You, along with your mate, can do this." She looks at Maze. "You are a pure wolf, Maze, King of werewolves, but tonight you will transcend into the King of Werewolves and Foxes. You are going to lead with pride, stubbornness and honor. As you already do. But you need to lean on your mate. She is your other half, your soulmate. The better part of you, as you are the better part of her." She and Selene join hands.
"We crown you in our image, King Maze and Queen Kiara of all wolves and fox shifters! We bless your union, accept your rule and give your strength through us. We will lead you, as you lead your people. Stay true to us, each other and your people, and we will stay true to you. Bless it be!" They say together, and then something weighs down on my head. Kiara’s eyes are wide with surprise. Her aura has changed. It’s even more powerful than before; commanding and calming at the same time. She exudes grace and poise. On her head is a white and orange gold tiara with purple, blue and yellow diamonds. It fits perfectly on her head. I reach up, and feel the crown on my own head.
"They match, but your is a King crown." Mom says with awe. We look where the Goddesses just stood, but they have gone quietly. The moon shines with a slight orange tinge, showing their union through our bond. Kiara takes my hand, power flows through me, and I know my own aura has changed as well. Everyone around us falls to their knees simultaneously. Damn.
