Maze takes off into town in his sports car, but not before telling me to stop by for lunch. The twins, triplets and Alastair also go into the office today, so me and the girls are all alone in the house today. We all agreed on bringing lunch to our guys later, and they kissed us goodbye. Me and Frida watch Callie and Elena kiss their mates, and I am secretly happy I only have one. That has to be hard work. An internal giggle threatens to move out of my mouth and I press my lips together in an attempt to not reveal my amusement, although I know my expression does not live up to my effort.
When they are all gone I get the girls to come with me to my office where Abby, Lauren and Ellie are waiting. They have stern expressions and I sigh inside. I know this is going to be a hard bargain, but I really want to plan my Luna ceremony with their help, not let them plan the whole thing without me.
A second later James walks in with a notepad. I linked him when we said bye to the guys. He needs to be here for this, and for the things I have to talk to the girls about afterwards.
"Thank you for coming." I tell them with a smile. Abby raises an eyebrow.
"We are missing someone." She says, and I cock my head to the side, giving her a confused look. She smiles and nods to my computer when it rings. I look at the caller and it’s my mom.
"Hi mom!" I squeal to the computer, she waves.
"Hi baby girl!" She greets, matching my enthusiasm. I shoot Abby a grateful look over the computer, and she nods indicating she saw it.
"So, Abby says we are planning a Luna ceremony, and for the Beta and Gamma female as well. Don’t worry, darling. We moms got this. You don’t have to.." I hold up my hand and she quiets immediately.
"I appreciate you all wanting to plan this for me, and I cannot speak for Callie and Elena, but I don’t want to just sit back and watch. I want to be part of the planning and decisions." I tell her as much as I’m telling Abby again. They both sigh.
"I told you I couldn’t get her to agree, Abby." Mom says, and I turn the computer so she can see the room. She greets everyone and gushes over the girls, which honestly makes me so happy! They need some parental figures in their lives and I am happy to share all of mine!
"Mom, if you and dad leave now, how fast can you be here?" I ask her, getting into view of the camera. She frowns.
"Why?" I giggle at her concerned look.
"Because I want you to formally meet our new Beta and Gamma female. I was thinking about a family/ranked member dinner tonight or tomorrow?" She nods. "And then we could talk about preparations and dos and don’ts for the ceremony. Then I will back off and take notes only. I call dibs on finding my own dress though." Abby crosses her arms, her eyes narrow. She thinks for a second before she smiles.
"That works for me. A good compromise." Mom agrees and as does Lauren and Ellie. They ask if they can come with us to the dress shop, which we graciously agree to. Both Callie and Elena link me to thank me. They didn’t want to upset their future mother-in-law, but they believe this is a good compromise, and we can work together.
Mom hangs up with a promise to text me as soon as she has talked with my dad if they are coming tonight or tomorrow? They are also taking my brother, who I miss dearly. I also want dad to meet the girls, because if I know him, and I do, he’ll adopt them as fast as all the other moms, my own included, seem to have.
Abby, Ellie and Lauren give us a hug and wave goodbye after mom hangs up. I still need to speak to the girls, so we stay in the office. The talk with the moms took about an hour, so we still have an hour and a half before we need to leave to pick up lunch before going to the firm. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
"Okay, so we need to talk." All three of them. They look at me with curious expressions. "So, James is my personal assistant for this Luna thing, and by that he’ll be here for all ranked meetings and such. He is amazing, and you also met his mate Ryan at the party the other day." The girls nod. "He is a go to if you cannot get a hold of me and need something." James’s eyes widened. "I trust him!" My eyes turned to him with a raised eyebrow. He smiled.
"If you trust him as do I!" Callie says firmly. Elena nods, agreeing silently.
"Your duties as Beta and Gamma females are pretty straight forward. You will help assist me, as well as making sure everyone gets along and gets their work done. Elena you will also maintain the work schedule for the Omega’s doing pack work. James, Callie and I will of course help you get it going smoothly, but you are in charge of knowing which positions need filling. I will get offices cleared for you on your own floor. Alright?" They both nod. I look at James and open my mouth.
"Getting offices ready for the Beta and Gamma, getting all paperwork gathered from the former Gammas and Betas. Got it." He says with a smile. "Oh, and I will find three dates for dress shopping before tonight, just in case your parents are coming today. We don’t want them waiting. And I have the date for the Luna ceremony reserved already as Alpha Maze mind-linked me earlier." I grin at him.
"You are seriously a Goddess send, James." I tell him honestly. He laughs and bows from his chair. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ
Callie and Elena have some questions about the work as ranked, and I answer them as best as I can until it is time for us to leave for the lunch run. I ask James if he wants to join us as I know Ryan went with everyone else to get some promotional photos done for the web page he is re-making for the firm. He declines with a smile, and we promise to bring him another day.
"What are we going to get, girls?" I ask the others. We took a pack car, just to have enough trunk space for all the food we’re bringing. We are going to get lunch for a lot of male werewolves, so we need more than a shitload of food.
"How about dominos?" Elena asks with shining eyes. I laugh.
"I’m okay with that. Callie?" She nods with a shrug, showing she doesn’t really care either way.
We get some pizzas, parmesan bites, feta/spinach bread, chicken bites and lava cakes for dessert. And a ton of ranch dressing to dip in. Mmh! My mouth is watering so bad at the thought of all the food smelling divine in the car. I call Maze to tell him we are on our way, and he promises to meet us in the parking basement.
