We look at the stream, in the clearing and by the pool area but he is nowhere to be found. Then I shift back and walk through the packhouse butt naked. Guys whistle as I go by, but I ignore them. I have nothing to be ashamed of, and I am learning to come to terms with that.
I look in our room and he is not there, and then I look in his office, where he is sitting behind his desk. I am still naked, and I don’t really give a fuck. Maze looks up from his papers when I open the door, his eyes going back and a growl rips through his throat.
"I don’t hope you walked through the packhouse like that." He says, his voice darker than usual. I roll my eyes.
"Give control back to Maze, Havoc." I tell him, putting my hands on my hips.
"Answer my question, mate." He says, pushing the chair back. I raise an eyebrow.
"No! And if you don’t give control back to Maze right this instant I am sleeping in another room." I say, making him growl again. He stalks to me, towering over me.
"Talking back is not a good idea, mate." He says and I had it! I smack him, so his face snaps to the side.
"You are in no position to be this big of an asshole, you lousy mutt! Give Maze control back right this instant and stop being immature and idiotic. You should be better than this, Havoc. But right now you are just pathetic!" I yell at him, and his hurt expression pulls at my heartstrings, but this is not going to end well for us if he keeps taking over like this.
"Woah, you could have just asked nicely." Maze says with his normal voice. He looks me over while licking his lips. "You are a vision." He says, trying to touch me, but I take a step back.
"You are in no position to act like nothing happened either, Maze! What the fuck what that out in the wood, huh? You were going to kill your Gamma’s mate. What the hell?!" He snorts.
"They’re going to reject her." He states with confidence, and I raise an eyebrow.
"Why on earth would they do something so stupid?" I ask, and he shrugs.
"Because their Alpha commands it. I am not having a disgusting rogue in my pack." I am taken very much aback by his answer.
"Too late for that asshole. I already invited her into the pack and she accepted. If you command them to reject her, you are doing that to a pack member." I turn around with Maze screaming at me. I go to our room and find another bikini, and walks out just as he comes in all angry and shit.
"What the fuck do you mean you invited her? You had no right to do that, Kiara!" I look at him, hurt and anger swirling and fighting to be the dominant feeling.
"Had. No. Right?" I ask, trying to see if I heard him correct?!
"Yes?!"
"Am I not the Luna of this pack?"
"That has nothing..."

"Kiara..."
"I have no right to treat another being like a person with feelings just because she was thrown out by her pack? Something you..." I point him at the chest.
"Should have been aware of from the beginning?! I have no right to invite her into OUR pack? I have no say what happens to OUR Gamma’s, who by the way was more than ready to leave the pack with her because they know you are an inconsiderate nincompoop when it comes to things like this. I cannot believe you Maze! You are by far the most enraging and entitled moron I have ever encountered! If I could rescind our matebond right now I would, but I can’t. You are lucky it doesn’t work like that." I push him aside.
"Now if you will excuse me, I am going to enjoy the evening with our pack members. I am going to live in my old room from now on, and we can rule as Alpha and Luna, but don’t you dare come crawling back. You have had your chances, Maze. This is the last of it!" I storm out, Maze calling after me. I don’t even want to go back down, but I have to show a brave face.
I take a turn and enter my office, almost falling onto the couch in there and bawling my eyes out. I am so angry at his irrational behavior, but at the same time I feel so guilty at how I just behaved. I was not better than him in any way.
The door to my office opens, and someone lifts me into their embrace. From the sparks I figured it was Maze, and when he coos into my ear I am sure. What he is doing here I have no idea, but right now I just want to feel his warm and strong arms around me. It’s probably for the last time, the way we have both behaved today.
