What the actual fuck just happened? We were having a lovely day by the pool, and now I am facing off with my mate because he has lost all sense of reality. I never thought I would see the day where Maze could be more of an irrational asshole than what he did to me, but I guess I was wrong.
’MOVE’ Havoc growls in our mind, and it only fuels our anger! Both me and Winter are outraged by his reaction. We know this girl is a rogue, but that does not give him reason to act like a buffoon towards her. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
’Absolutely not!’ Winter and I growl back at our mate. He takes a step closer, and Winter has had it with his overreactions and irrational behavior. One of her tails glows, and we freeze Havoc to the ground he is standing on. I don’t care if he is my mate and Alpha right now, until he gets his wolf under control he is not going anywhere.
’What is her name?’ I ask my Gamma’s keeping a close eye on Havoc and Maze. They are struggling against my powers, but I am stronger than them and they will not break it.
’Elena, Luna.’ Joram answers in my mind.
’Why is she a rogue?’
’I don’t know, Luna.’
’Ask her.’ I command him, still shielding the girl. Joram asks her and she explains that she was accused of seducing the future Alpha of her pack, although he was mated to her sister. But they had it backwards. She was his mate, and our Gamma’s are her second chances, and he rejected her when her sister told him all sorts of untrue things about her. Her sister converted everything she had, and tried to ruin her life since childhood. She eventually got her kicked out because her ex mate would not defend her.
’Are you listening, Alpha asshole?’ I growl in Maze and Havoc’s mind. They do not answer, but they are also no longer fighting against my hold. Havoc’s eyes change and then a moment later Maze is standing in front of me. He raises his hand, indicating he surrenders. I changed back myself, all of the guys looking away. I let Maze go, and he walks away without looking back. I guess we are going to have a fight about this.
Someone throws me a t-shirt and I put it on. Then I walk to the shivering girl.
"Elena, I am Kiara. I apologize for my mate’s behavior. Rest assured I will speak to him." Her eyes widened.
"Luna! I’m so sorry for the disturbance I have caused. I.. Our wolves acted in haste and I.."
"You accept my Gamma’s as your mates?" I ask kindly and she nods shyly looking at the guys, who are beaming at her.
"We already accepted her, Luna. And we will leave with her if necessary." Joram says on behalf of his brothers and himself. I shake my head.
"That will not be necessary. I am the Luna of this pack, and although my mate is an immature idiot at the moment, it does not mean you have to leave." I take a deep breath. Maze is going to be furious with what I am about to do, but so fucking be it! "I, Kiara, Queen of werewolves and Luna of the Silver Moon pack, hereby invite Elena, mate of our Gamma’s, to our pack." Elena’s mouth drops open.
"I...I accept this gracious invite, Luna Queen." She responds, and the pack link takes place.
’Welcome to our pack, Elena. You are now the female Gamma, and you will be treated with respect.’ Elena’s eyes brim with tears, and the guys bring her in for a group hug.
"We’re having a pool party. Ask Frida if she has a spare bikini for your mate, and enjoy the evening. I will be with you shortly. I have a dumbass of a mate to yell at." I say to the others. I turn around to see the twins still there in wolf form.
"Do you two have anything to say?" I ask, hostility oozing from me. The wolves look at Elena with her mates and then shake their heads.
’We’re sorry for Maze, but he hates rogues and he doesn’t care about their stories. We have nothing against her and we respect your decision, Luna.’ Kristian mindlinks me, and I nod. freewebnoveℓ.com
"You look after her and your own mate. You are in the same position now." I say before losing the t-shirt and shifting into Winter.
’Let’s find Alpha asshole.’ I tell my fox, and we go hunting for that dimwitted hotheaded idiot of a mate. I mindlink Abigail while I look for Maze and explain to her the situation. She laughs in my mind and asks that I smack some sense into her son. She is not at all surprised by his reaction, but she is disappointed in him.
