Kiara and I spent the rest of yesterday, and a lot of today talking. No more secrets, and no more sugar coating things. I told her about my childhood, about the expectations on my behalf, and about Mira. I told her about everything that happened while Mira was gone, and what happened to me when she died in my arms. I have cried and been angry again about the unfairness of it all, but this time I had Kiara to listen and understand.
Amber and Blaze went home this morning, my sister finally sensing I have opened up completely to my mate.
Kiara told me about her own childhood. How the pack doted on her as a child, and how they turned on her when she was 18, because she didn’t shift. She told me about the bullies, and jealous girls in school and how she hid it from her parents, until she couldn’t hide it anymore.
I met Ryan and James this afternoon, and told them how happy I am that they have each other. Ryan finally told his parents about his sexuality last night, and they threw him out. Kiara and I decided to go with him to his parents’ place to get his things, as James told him he could stay with him.
"Alpha, are you sure you want to come with us? It’s really not that important." Ryan says for the hundredth time. Kiara rolls her eyes.
"I’m sure! Me and you Luna want to show our support. Besides, I have not been the best Alpha the last two years, and I want to make up for it. Discrimination against gender specific love will not be tolerated." Ryan gives me a small smile, while James beams at me.
"We really appreciate it, Alpha." James says, as we approach the cottage. Ryans is visibly nervous, and Kiara moves from me to him, to give him support. I decide to stay behind the three of them, just to see how his parents react to him and James. It’s not pretty. His mother opens the door with a smile, until she sees Ryan, James and Kiara.
"We told you to stay away from us! Why are you here? And with him! You are not welcome. Go away!"

"You are not welcome. Those things were given with love to a son who is not... Who is normal! Not you!" Kiara clears her throat.
"Ma’am, even though I do not understand where you are coming from, I must remind you that you can’t refuse Ryan to get his personal belongings." She says in a clear, polite voice. The woman sneers.
"And why should I listen to a whore who condones this... Abomination?!" She asks with venom.
"Because that beautiful woman is your Luna, and you ma’am is way over the line. Now move!" I command from behind the three of them. I’ve heard enough of this! The woman pales when Ryan and James move out of the doorway. Kiara joins me again, locking her hand with mine. She gives the foul woman a sweet smile.
"Alpha! I was not aware."
"That I could hear you spit your venom? No, I’m sure you weren’t. Ryan is entitled to his things. Now either you move, or I arrest you for refusing him his right." She moves aside, her husband calling from somewhere inside to see who is here.
We move in, and as Ryan and James go to his room to get his things, Kiara and I follow his mother to the living room. The father stands when I enter their living room, a proud smile entering his face to have his Alpha in his house.
"Alpha, what an honor." I look at the wife.
"I seriously doubt it. I’m here with your son, because he knew he was going to be denied entrance to get his things." I answer, crossing my arms. Kiara just looks on in curiosity.
"Why don’t you have any pictures of your son?" She asks, and I see that she is right. There is no evidence this is Ryan’s childhood home.
"Because we don’t. And you are?" The father growls. I growl back, pulling Kiara to my side.
"Your future Luna." She answers with a smile, watching the man pale. Right then Ryan enters the room, anger swirling in his eyes.
"Where are my things? Why is my room completely empty?" His father crosses his own arms.
"Because all of that was not bought for some lousy faggot. They..." I growl again, stopping him right there.
"The name calling stops right here! Ryan is your son, and if you can’t accept his mate, then that is your problem. But I will not have any racism in my pack, and if you threw his things or sold them, I expect you to pay for new ones!"
"We will not!"
"That was not a request, Mr. Davis. That was an order from your Alpha! The money is to be wired to me, and I’ll make sure Ryan is compensated properly. And if you don’t like this, you can find a new pack to live in! This is an open and accepting pack. End. Of. Story!" I turn on my heels, the other following me outside.
"Ryan, James, please come with me. We’ll make a list of the things you are missing, and I’ll make sure you are compensated."
"My parents aren’t going to pay you back, Alpha." Ryan says with tears in his eyes. His mate hugs him.
"Let me worry about that!" I tell him with a smile. We walked back to the pack house, talking and laughing. Ryan and James are good people, and I’m glad to know they have my mates back. Especially when I haven’t had it for a while. The fog has lifted, and it’s time I take back control.
At the pack house trouble is waiting. Brandon and Morgan. Brandon is fuming, while Morgan is sad.
"Alpha, we are going to leave the pack. You banished our daughter." Brandon says, using my title. I tell Ryan and James to wait in my office. As they leave I look at my aunt and uncle. free𝑤ebnovel.com
"I’m sorry to see you leave, but Mira is an enemy working with a demon. She is far too gone. I hope you’ll return some day, but I respect your decision to leave." I reply with sadness. Brandon turns to leave without another word, while Morgan hugs me close.
"I know, sweetie, but he is out of range right now. I’m sorry." She says. I watch them leave, Kiara hugging me close.
