Abby’s POV
We walk out of the conference room and into Matt’s room. Or now it would be our room. The butterflies in my stomach do a back flip at the thought of sleeping next to Matt. He is everything and more than I ever dreamed of in a mate.
He even let me lead the meeting downstairs, and didn’t once interrupt me, or tell me something was not okay. I feel proud of how I handled myself, giving I just wanted to beat those two men (beta Carl and Alpha Leo) into submission. I roll my eyes internally.
"This is us, baby." Matt draws me from my murderous thoughts. He opens the door, and my eyes go wide.
The room has the same color scheme as downstairs, but with a hint of green and blue here. At my right is a common area with a U shaped couch in light grey leather, a coffee table and a big flat screen TV. There is a king-size canopy bed, which looks so soft and comfortable.
To my left is a door going to a big and airy bathroom. And in there is a big shower, with a built-in bench and a comfortable tub. Right beside the bathroom is a walk-in closet. The closet is enormous, and I am taken by surprise when Matthew shows me my side. It is stocked, and in my size. I lift a brow at him questioningly.
"Uhm... My mom had this stocked for you. She may or may not have checked your size in the bags you had with you and sent someone to the mall." He smiles sheepishly.
"I love it!" I kiss his cheek, and begin exploring the new clothes all for me! Galaxy purrs in my head.
’We have the best mate and new family in the world.’ She says, before retreating to the back of my mind again.
"Come on baby, let’s get to bed. I hope you don’t mind sharing with me..." He looks nervous and I giggle.
"No, I would prefer to keep you close. Who knows when a new woman tries to claim you? No, no. Best to monitor you and Blade." I wink at his stunned expression and go to the bathroom. I am suddenly trapped in big, powerful arms.
"There will be no one but you, baby! You are my world, and my Queen. No one will ever compare, and I am yours forever and always." Matt whispers in my ear. I turn around in his warm embrace.
"I know! I am yours forever and always, too. No one is taking what is mine! I am as possessive as you are, babe." I say with mischief in my eyes.
Matt looks at me with adoration, and his eyes darken with every word. I can feel how much he wants me, but he is holding back for my sake.
"I.. You are amazing! The way you handled those men down there.. I was so turned on by how you showed them who is the boss." He whispers in a husky voice.
I giggle.
"I will not accept some men coming into our pack and think they can tell me what to do. Because I am the Luna here, and they better show me some respect! Galaxy wanted to beat them into submission, and to be honest, the thought wasn’t that far from me either." We walk to the bathroom and brush our teeth.
"I know. I wanted you to beat their asses as well. Just to show how badass my Luna is!" Matt chuckle.
"Come on, my fierce little Luna, we better get some sleep before the meeting tomorrow. Afterwards I am planning on a pack announcement, to tell everyone I’ve found the world’s best, most badass, and most beautiful mate! I am quite lucky in that department." My cheeks heat from his sweet words.
"Matt.." He looks at me. "I.. Uhm.. Thank you for taking this at my pace. I have been on my own for so long, and it’s still kinda weird to be around people who don’t view me as a freak." He gives me a soft smile and kisses my forehead.
"I will take all the time you need, even though Blade is screaming in my head to mark you, so no one gets any ideas. But I will wait until the end of time for you to be ready." He kisses my forehead again, and we lay down.
I was now wearing one of Matt’s t-shirts that I had changed into in the closet before bed. He insisted, so his scent was to be all over me in the morning. So possessive.
I snuggle into Matt’s muscular arms and inhale his scent. It is so soothing, and I soon fall into a peaceful sleep. Tomorrow is going to be interesting. But with Matt by my side I can do, and be, anything he needs me to.
The Third Person’s POV
The sun shines inside the room, where Matt is lying in bed admiring his beautiful woman. She is breathing slowly, showing she is still a sleep. His shirt on her is a sight to behold, and he feels his heart swell for his mate. The way she handled everything yesterday made him painfully hard. She had gone about everything with a graceful and direct approach. Neither he nor his father had ever achieved. The White Moon pack had always been a bunch of elitists wolves, but he hoped they could build something stronger, and maybe create some changes with Alpha Jason. Matt noticed Abby stirring in his arms. He looks down at her silvery/purple orbs, and gets lost in their swirling depth. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
"Mmm, good morning." Abby purr into his chest.
"Good morning. Did you sleep well?" He needs to know, because he himself had one of the best nights of sleep in his life.
"Yes, you are very comfortable to sleep on. And it feels like sleeping in a warm, secure blanket." Abby gives him a loving smile and snuggles closer, not ready to start the day. Matthew welcomes her mood and wraps his arms around her tighter.
"We need to start the day, baby. Jason is coming soon." Matthew says with a small smile, looking down at the woman already owning his heart.
Abby nods, but she really doesn’t want to get out of bed.
"What time is it?" She asks.
"Almost 8 am." Abby jumps up. It was a lot later than she thought.

As Matthew watches his adorable mate rushing about, he can’t help but chuckle. She is so amazing, and in her panicked state, she is just more adorable than ever. Red stress spots creep onto her cheeks as she rushes into the closet and then the bathroom. Mathew gets out of bed, fetches some clothes and walks out of the room to get a shower and then meet up with Abby after. He shakes his head. She is not even fazed by changes or the fact they had slept in the same bed for the first time. No, she panicked about the time and their meeting with Alpha Jason. She is truly something else entirely, and she is already showing what a wonderful Luna she will be.
After their respective showers, Matt and Abby meet up in their room. She is embarrassed about how she handled herself before, and when she tells Matt as much, he only laughs.
"Baby, don’t even think like that?! I am in awe of you. You rooted up your entire life yesterday, and your only concern this morning is if we are going to be late for our meeting." He kisses her temple as they walk downstairs to get breakfast.
When they enter the kitchen, an old lady approach the couple.
"Hello dear. Aren’t you an absolute sight? My, my Mr. Alpha, you’ve got a real gem here." She gives Matt a side eye.
"I’m Ms. Potter, and I’m the head omega in the kitchen. If you need anything, my dear, all you have to do is ask." Ms Potter gives Abby a bright smile and walks away.
Abby already like her.
"I’m sorry about that. Ms Potter has been with us forever. Her family has been head kitchen omega here for generations. She is actually training her granddaughter to be her successor." Matt says with a small smile.
"No worries, she seems so kind and almost like a grandmother type of person." Abby gushes.
Matt chuckles and leads her to the main table. There is a widespread of all kinds of food. Abby doesn’t know where to look first. She has never seen so much food at once, not even while she lived in the pack house back at Black Moon. She had never starved, but to over-indulge like this.. This would be her first, and she was more that ready. She is a food lover and, in her mind, Galaxy agreed.
This is heaven.
