Chapter 122: Chapter 122 Moon Goddess’s Other Choice

Amber’s POV

I have absolutely no idea why the unfamiliar goddess would look at me with such contempt, but I am getting a feeling of who she is. And if I’m right, then it doesn’t bode so well for me. She’s clearly not in agreement with Selene on her match with Chase, and maybe she’s not in agreement with my other mate either? I sigh. I still haven’t had the chance to tell Chase about the other mate thing, and I fear he will reject me when he discovers the truth.

’Easy child. Everything will work out for the best in the end. Believe me.’ Selene says in my mind. Ignis has had enough of this charade, and pushes forward.

"Goddess of the Sun, my apologies if We are not what you expected of a mate for your children, but here We are and Chase has accepted Us. I will not be intimidated, nor chased away by someone like yourself. So, either you accept this union or you go away to wherever you live and sulk. Maybe on the way you can pay a visit to the youngest of your own daughters and ask her what she is up to these days." Ignis stares into the goddess’s eyes with no remorse, and soon a tension builds between my stubborn wolf and the goddess. freeweɓnøvel.com

"Enough! I will not let some pesky furball tell me what to do..."

"Maybe, just maybe, Solei, if you actually listened this time, things will not get out of hand. Don’t think I forgot, or didn’t recognize you. I’m a child of Galaxy and not born of the moon goddess’s dreams like the rest of my kind. I am the child of the Queen and King of wolves and witches. You forget yourself, not the other way around." Ignis interrupts before retracting into the back of my mind again.

’We need to talk, Ignis.’ I tell her, and she nods her wolf head.

’I will tell you in the dream world, where we can be alone from prying eyes.’ She answers, and I have to be satisfied with her answer.

Chase takes my hand in his, locking eyes with me.

"Maybe if I have a private talk with the goddess, things could be solved in a civilized manner, darling?" He whispers, and I feel like the air is knocked out of me. He thinks of me as uncivilized? Ignis whimpers in sadness of the implications of his words.

"If that is what your highness thinks is best." I answer with all the attitude in the world, letting him know I outrank him in my answer. Chase opens his mouth, but I turn my back to him so he doesn’t see the tears threatening to spill down my cheeks in anger and sadness. Such a small sentence, but such a big impact on his views of my role as his queen.

I walk away from them, keeping the barrier up so Chase is still protected. No matter what, I don’t want anything to happen to him. He is still my mate.

I don’t know where I’m going, but after a little while walking aimlessly through the woods, a scent hit all my senses. It draws me in, makes me burn in passion and I just have to follow it. I know in some part of my being that this scent does not belong to Chase, but nonetheless I have to find out who smells this good. Ignis is running in circles, her tongue hanging out and her tail all bushy in anticipation.

I round a small cluster of trees and there he is. His head snaps up, and our eyes lock onto each other. My mouth hangs open as the full view of my second mate makes me horny in one second flat. My eyes widened at the small cocky smirk on his full mouth. His eyes are impossibly blue, and I smile slowly as he speed walks to me. Suddenly I’m in his arms, as he grabs a hold of my thighs and lifts me up. I can’t help the laugh that escapes me, when he inhales me again and again.

I look down at him, his eyes flickering between the impossible blue and a sea green that is his beast.

"Hello mate." He says, his voice deep and rumbly. It’s a greeting as well as a declaration. I am his mate. I feel the sparks all over my body, and find myself wanting nothing more than to kiss him. He seems to think the same, because only a second later his lips crushes to mine. They are soft and warm, demanding and wanting. I break the kiss when my lungs burn for air, feeling everything all at once. Then the thought of Chase hit me, and I felt dirty. Dirty to be kissing someone else and feel so drawn to him.

"What are you thinking, my princess?" He asks, and I sigh.

"I have something to tell you." I answer with sadness. What if both of them reject me? A knot forms around my heart, as the thought of rejection twice runs through my mind.

"If it’s about that weakling to a crown prince being your mate as well, then I already know. Don’t worry, my love! I will never reject you just because Selene has chosen another to belong to your soul. You are just as much mine, as you are his." He says, and I feel a burning sensation on my cheeks. He just said all the right things, and my heart swells at the feeling.

"What’s your name?" I ask, feeling silly all of a sudden. He laughs, a deep laughter rumbling through his entire body and creating friction between us.

"My name, my princess, is Blaze. My beast’s name is Loch, and I am a water elemental as well as a water dragon." I nod, as Ignis purrs in satisfaction. Like her, I feel complete now. As if all the puzzle pieces of my heart have come together at last.

Then someone clears their throat, and I look to the side.

"EZRA!" I yell, while Blaze carries me to him, not letting me down from his embrace. I laugh again, tapping his hard muscled chest.

"I want to give him a hug." I say, as Blaze only lifts one eyebrow. I stare into his eyes. A challenge and a question. He sighs.

"Fine, but I’m taking you right back into my arms, little moon." He says, as I melt from the nickname. I hug Ezra tight. I have missed him so much, and now it makes sense why I’m feeling complete. Not only is my second mate here, but my guardian as well.

A low, dangerous growl interrupts my hug and when I look back over my shoulder Chase is running full speed towards us.

Blaze grabs me, and throws his arms around me as Ezra stands in front of us growling right back at Chase.

"Let the queen go! NOW!" He yells, as his eyes flicker from his to his beast’s.

"You are queen now, huh?" Blaze says, as he lowers his head to my neck and inhales again. "That’s hot." He continues, and I can hold back a small moan. The look of betrayal and confusion on Chase’s face breaks my heart.

"Chase, I can explain. Blaze is my second mate." I say, and his eyes widened in shock.
