Chapter 66: Sunrise City

"Maybe you can absorb the elements from that since you’re a Dryad," Misho said.

"Thank you. I think I can. Though they only provide minuscule amounts of mana, it’s still purer and faster than directly absorbing mana from the surroundings," WristRose explained.

"I understand."

After that short interaction with the slime, Misho finally finished his bread. They hopped back into the carriage and avoided making too much noise to not wake up Maia.

The caravan continued, and the sun slowly set by the time they exited the forest. What welcomed them was a large open area with plots and plots of farmed vegetation.

They jumped out of the carriage. MadPolygon and TonkotsuRamen carried Maia again and placed her on top of a sleeping bag near the campfire. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

Misho then woke up Maia and helped her into the sleeping bag. He was careful of her chest area where she was hurt.

After that, the campfire was lit, and Misho roasted wolf meat for Maia. She gobbled it up happily and saw it as a way to look down on the wolf that hurt her.

Misho and Maia decided to not log out this time. The night passed, and they woke up.

They ate breakfast and continued on to Sunrise City. The closer they got to the city, the more carriages they passed by.

Some of these carriages had open backs filled with stacks of wheat.

And at noon, the city was in front of them. It was surrounded by two meters of rock walls. They served the purpose of keeping monsters from entering the city in the event that they attacked.

"We’re finally here," WristRose muttered with a smile.

Misho and the others smiled too. They looked out the back of the carriage and saw many NPCs walking on the dirt road. There were also sounds of people chatting from outside.

Maia noticed the commotion and groggily opened her eyes.

"We’re here, Maia," Misho said.

"Oh. Buy a health potion if it’s available," Maia said.

"I will."

The caravan entered the city, and they were greeted by the strong smell of grain and bread. There were many bakeries around the city, and windmills propped up with their blades turning around inside the city.

"This city is not bad," Misho said.

The caravan stopped beside a shop.

"We’re here." an NPC said from outside.

Jabber and WristRose jumped out of the carriage first before Misho carried Maia.

"We will carry her," MadPolygon said.

"No need. I want to carry her too," Misho replied.

As Maia’s boyfriend, he thought it was his responsibility to carry her. They already carried her enough, and it was time for him to take over.

"Misho... I’m like a princess in your arms," Maia said with a light smile on her face.

"Hahahaha." Misho laughed.

He jumped down with her. The merchant Joga approached them.

"Here. These are your fees. I’m returning them because the two of you acted as my mercenaries. I also feel bad for her, so you can buy my health potion for cheap," Joga said.

"Thank you, but you had a health potion all this time?" Misho asked, feeling betrayed.

"Ahaha... I didn’t want to hide it from you, but I did. I only had one, and it was in case I got hurt. Please understand," Joga said with an embarrassed expression.

"Alright. I understand. How much is it?"

Misho couldn’t really blame him. If he only had one, it made sense he would keep it for himself.

"100 Gold. This is sold for 120 Gold in the market," Joga said as he gave him a round potion bottle with a red liquid inside.

"Maia, drink this," Misho said and stood her up on the ground.

Maia took it and opened the potion bottle. She sniffed it and moved her head away. She was disgusted, but she took a deep breath and downed all the liquid in one go.

Maia knew it was the only thing that could heal her at this point, so she endured the horrible smell and drank it.

Misho took out the gold chest from his pocket and took out 40 Gold, and put them in the coin bag Joga returned to him. This gold chest was very heavy, and if you wondered where he kept this during the fight, he left them under his seat in the carriage.

"This should be 100 Gold," Misho said and gave the bag of coins to him.

"Thank you."

"Are you better now, Maia?" Misho asked.

"Wow!"

Maia pressed the area where she was hurting with her palm and felt nothing. The pain vanished as if it wasn’t there.

She looked inside her shirt and saw no bruise or anything. She was truly healed.

"It seems like it worked," Misho said after seeing her surprised reaction.

"Amazing! We should buy more!" Maia exclaimed.

"This health potion is one of a kind. You can buy a similar one from Jufri’s Magic Store," Joga said. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

"Let’s go!" Maia urged Misho.

"Okay, okay. Relax."

Misho was surprised at her energy. It was unbelievable that she was hurting just a moment ago.

"We will go on our own now. Thank you for having us," Misho said to Jabber and the others.

"We will also go on our ways. Message us if there is something you need help with," WristRose said with a kind smile on her face.

She stuck close to Jabber and embraced his arm. Jabber nodded his head at Misho and Maia.

"Wait. How about we eat first?" TonkotsuRamen asked.

"Ehhh... There’s really nothing special in this city. I’m assuming their breads are as hard as rocks too," Misho replied.

"...I will message you if I find anything delicious. Message me too," TonkotsuRamen said.

"I will." Misho nodded his head.

"Quarter is right. The bread here is the same as any other place," Joga replied.

"Okay. Bye!" Misho said and waved at them while he pulled Maia with him.

"I will message you too if I have the money," Vivien said.
