Chapter 67: Clans and Guilds

"If you can’t pay, you don’t have to. Mr. Joga already returned our fee," Misho replied.

"No! I will surely return it back." Vivien seriously stared at Misho.

Misho was surprised at his eagerness to repay him. He couldn’t say anything against getting more money, so he nodded his head.

"Take care!" WristRose shouted and waved her hand up in the air.

"I will be in the city for three days! Find me if you want to leave with me!" Joga shouted.

Misho and Maia turned back and faced them.

"We will! Take care too!" Maia shouted back while Misho smiled beside her.

They then both turned back and went their own way. They walked through the main street and found more players than NPCs.

"There are so many people here," Misho muttered.

"Look! That place smells good!" Maia exclaimed and pointed to a bakery.

An intense, powerful smell of bread wafted from that place.

"It only smells good."

Misho was bummed out by the unedibleness of the bread here. There were a lot of bakeries, but they all sold hard bread.

"Hahahaha" Maia laughed and asked, "Why don’t we ask around for a maid?"

"That won’t work. Instead of wasting our time, let’s go check out Jufri’s Magic Store. I’m sure we would need a Health Potion later," Misho replied. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

"I guess you’re right." Maia nodded her head.

The two of them looked around and realized they actually understood the signs everywhere.

"That’s quite convenient. I didn’t realize it till now," Misho said.

"Me too! It’s crazy. It felt like we were reading our language," Maia replied and nodded her head in agreement.

"Hey, you two!" a male voice called out to them.

Misho and Maia turned their heads to the front and saw an average-looking youth running to them. He looked excited to see them.

"Do you guys want to join our Clan?" he asked.

"Clan?"

The duo was both confused.

"Yes! I’m from the Grand Star Terror Clan! Or GST for short!"

"Sorry, but we’re not interested."

Misho turned him down. He had no idea who they were, and he had no plans to join any. In fact, this was the first time he heard about Clans.

"You must be unaware, but the GST Clan is server wide! Our founder is the son of the CEO of Power Tech Games!"

Suddenly, Misho felt a chill run down his spine. He stared at the guy carefully and widened his eyes.

"Are you serious?"

"Haha! Interested now, are we?"

The youth felt pretty smug seeing their reaction. He pushed his chest forward and made himself look manly.

"Misho..."

Maia understood what was going through Misho’s mind. If you had forgotten, the son of the CEO of Power Tech Games was the fiance of his first love. Hearing news about him made him remember her.

"Are you going to join?" the youth asked, confused at their reactions. He could feel that something was off.

"What is a clan?" Misho asked and pretended as if nothing had happened.

"Ah! So you don’t know that yet!"

The youth smacked his palm with his closed hand and immediately understood why they had that confusing reaction.

"Do you know about the Adventurer Guild?" he asked.

"Errr... This is our first day in the city," Misho awkwardly replied.

The two of them seemed like a country bumpkin in front of this guy. It was embarrassing, to say the least.

"Okay. You have heard about Guilds in old games, right? They are Clans here, but we call them ’Clans’ because the Adventurer Guild and Magic Guild operate differently. The founder didn’t want everyone to be confused," he explained.

"Oh! So Clans are not a part of the game’s system?" Misho asked.

"Nope! The founder requested that feature from the developers, but they said that we can start a clan and manage it manually," he answered.

"Hmmm... Interesting."

Misho was amazed at the dedication of the developers to the realism of the game. Indeed, it would not be realistic if there was a game menu where you could join Clans. This decision made the game better in Misho’s opinion.

"You’re joining, right?" the youth asked.

"Nope."

Misho shook his head and walked away with Maia.

"Hey! You can’t just leave like that after having me explain everything so conveniently like that information guy in books!"

Misho and Maia ignored him and continued walking away. Maia kept her silence and didn’t disturb him from reminiscing his past.

"Maia, do you want to join a Clan or create one?" Misho asked.

"I’d rather not, Misho. It will be a pain to manage it. We should just join one if it can give us benefits," Maia replied.

"I see. Let’s go ask around so we can find Jufri’s Magic Store."

Misho looked around them, and his eyes landed on an old man pushing a cart. He was an NPC.

"Hello, do you know where Jufri’s Magic Store is?" Misho asked.

"Jufri’s? Oh, it’s at the north street," he replied.

"Thank you!"

The duo continued heading down the street and found a right turn. They went into it and headed north. Before long, they saw all kinds of shops around this area. Many players were moving through and fro through this street as they window shopped.

"There!" Maia pointed with a finger.

They finally found Jufri’s Magic Store. They entered inside and found some NPCs inside. It looked pretty deserted because there were several isles inside.

"Welcome to Jufri’s~" a sweet woman’s voice came from the counter.

Misho and Maia walked up to her. She was a big-breasted woman, at least an E-cup. She had a white inner shirt and a black cardigan outside. She wore a purple gem as a necklace, and she looked stunning.

[NPC]

Misho immediately noticed it floating above her head. He took a big gulp and felt impressed at whoever designed this woman. She reminded him of the Big Sisters in some anime shows he watched. These Big Sisters would usually stand behind a counter just like her right now.
