Chapter 49: Meeting A Dryad, Satyr, Mermen, And An Incubus
"I’m not planning to attack them," Jabber answered and crossed his arms before closing his eyes.
"Errr... Hello."
Misho awkwardly waved his hand at the four of them, seated further in the carriage.
"Don’t mind him. He’s actually really nice," the large-chested lady said with a kind smile.
Misho, Maia, and Vivien hopped inside the carriage and sat at the entrance of the carriage. None of them tried to sit near the four.
"What are your names?" Misho curiously asked.
He glanced at the four of them. One was a black man, a large chested lady, a skinny youth, and a mustached young man. All of them had the word ’[Player]’ floating above their heads.
"This is Jabber, our strongest warrior. He is an Essence Sea from the Wordly Race. Otherwise known as a Satyr," the large chested lady replied.
"Ah!? He’s Essence Sea already!?" Maia exclaimed in shock.
She thought she and Misho were already leading the pack when they became Essence Sea players the other day. Hearing those words destroyed the sense of pride she felt.
"Hehe~ I wonder why~" the large chested lady giggled as she daintily covered her mouth.
The three men beside her visibly looked uncomfortable, especially Jabber, who looked away from the three of them. Something about their reactions told Misho and Maia that they did something suspicious.
"Ehem. My name is WristRose, and I’m also a part of the Worldly Race. I’m also an Essence Sea cultivator. For the female gender, we are called Dryads. I happened to meet Jabber, and we quickly became ’close’. Hehe~" WristRose chuckled and side-eyed Jabber.
"Why do you have to tell them that?" Jabber asked. The gloomy look on his face earlier had disappeared because of her words.
"MadPolygon and TonkotsuRamen both know about your manliness. Why not share it with these new faces? Isn’t it something to be proud of?" WristRose retorted as if it was matter-of-fact.
"Ughh..."
Jabber face palmed himself and turned away.
"I’m MadPolygon, a Mermen from the Ocean Race. Ignore these two. They are both shameless," MadPolygon interjected just at the right time.
"Correct! Ignore these two. Do you know how loud this b*tch moans!? We could hear it all the way from our sleeping place!" the guy beside MadPolygon agreed enthusiastically.
"..."
Misho, Maia, and Vivien all stared at the two from the Worldly Race. Their eyes reflected the shock, confusion, and curiosity that they all felt.
Why on earth would she be so open? She also had no sense of shame.
"Hey! Take that back!" WristRose shouted at him in disapproval.
"Arghh... If I knew this woman was like this, I wouldn’t have hooked up with her," Jabber uttered in disappointment.
"Hey~ We both complement each other. Your element is Earth, while my element is Plant. You would’ve hooked up with me either way!" WristRose replied in a playful voice.
"..."
Jabber had enough of her and decided to ignore her.
At that moment, the carriage suddenly started moving forward. It seemed like the merchant had finished his chat with Trepe during the time of the chaotic introduction.
"So where are the three of you headed?" WristRose curiously asked.
"Sunrise City. We heard it’s the closest city here," Maia replied.
"What a coincidence! We are heading there too!" WristRose exclaimed in excitement. free𝑤ebnovel.com
"Rose! Don’t be too buddy-buddy with them. I don’t want a repeat from last time," Jabber reprimanded her in a deep voice.
"Ehh? They look cute and trustworthy, unlike that guy from before." WristRose pouted.
"This is a game. I don’t care whether they look cute or trustworthy. We still can’t trust them," Jabber responded steadfastly.
"What happened before?" Misho asked.
Even though Jabber looked scary right now, he still decided to ask. After all, he was confident in himself and Maia. With their teamwork, these two were nothing.
The one who opened his mouth was MadPolygon. He was much calmer compared to the arguing duo.
"An Essence Sea Incubus from the Demon Race tried to trick us yesterday. He befriended us first and later attempted to steal the merchant’s money."
"Oh... Why is he reacting like that then?" Misho subtly pointed at Jabber.
MadPolygon and Jabber glanced at each other’s eyes for a short moment.
"It’s complicated. You don’t want to know," MadPolygon answered with a shake of his head.
"Okay. Are you two Essence Sea too? Also, you haven’t told us your name yet," Misho asked the mustached young man beside MadPolygon.
"My name is TonkotsuRamen, an Incubus from the Demon Race. We’re both Essence Pool-stage cultivators," TonkotsuRamen replied.
Misho looked at each of them once again.
Jabber was the bulky black man. His ripped body looked intimidating. WristRose was the large-chested lady. She seemed to be pretty social. MadPolygon was a skinny youth. He was much tamer in contrast to the previous two. The last one was TonkotsuRamen. His most notable feature was his black mustache. It made him stand out from the rest.
All of them wore villager clothing. It seemed like they managed to befriend a villager before coming here.
"Ahahahahaha!"
Misho exited his thought process and stared at Maia, who was laughing maniacally.
"What’s wrong?" Misho asked.
"Hahahaha..."
Maia held her stomach and stared at Misho as if she was staring at the funniest thing in the world.
"Huh?"
The look on her face only made Misho more confused. He couldn’t help but tilt his head at her.
"QuarterPounder and TonkotsuRamen... Ahahahaha! The two of you should be friends," Maia responded as she still continued laughing.
"Ah..."
Her answer instantly made Misho depressed.
As for TonkotsuRamen, he widened his eyes in surprise.
"Really!? Your name is QuarterPounder!?" he screamed happily. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
"Yes..."
Misho nodded his head unwillingly. Having his name laughed at wasn’t fun. It only made him angry.
"Wow! It seems like I found a fellow foodie!" TonkotsuRamen exclaimed. He then stood up from his seat and proceeded to sit beside Misho.
The happiness on his face shone brightly like the sun in this small carriage. It was apparent to anyone about the joy he currently felt.
"Mine was a joke. I’m not a foodie," Misho replied as he vehemently shook his head.
The energy of this guy was intimidating him. He was like an energetic dog seeing his owner returning home from his 9-5 work.
