Chapter 96: Wait For The Situation
Theodore breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Geoffrey was home so he didn’t have to go to the west gate to rescue him. Theodore patted Geoffrey’s shoulder lightly and shook his head.
"You didn’t hear the warning alarm outside?" For some reason, Theodore couldn’t believe Geoffrey could still sleep at this time.
"Huh?" Geoffrey also realized the warning alarm outside. He immediately glared in surprise. "Oh my! Do we have to evacuate?" Geoffrey continued his speech while panicking.
"Calm down, we don’t need to go anywhere. Don’t go out for now because there are zombies on the streets. The military is cleaning them up," Theodore explained while calming Geoffrey.
"Zombies on the streets? Why is that? I stayed late at the west gate last night, but nothing was said by the military people," Geoffrey replied, looking confused and not thinking the situation outside was chaotic.
"There’s a big problem at the north gate, so that’s that. Then, why are you at home instead of working at the west gate?" Theodore was quite surprised to see Geoffrey at home at this hour.
"I’m allowed to take today off because I worked overtime until the wee hours of the morning yesterday," Geoffrey explained why he was home today.
Theodore nodded in understanding, "Remember my words not to leave the apartment building before the military says it’s safe," Theodore reminded Geoffrey.
"Take it easy, I’ll remember your words!" Geoffrey nodded his head vigorously.
"Oh yeah, if you run out of food in your house, just knock on my door. You don’t have to be shy with me." Theodore waved his hand as he walked towards the door of his apartment.
After saying that, Theodore entered his apartment and walked towards the balcony. Intending to see the conditions outside, Theodore didn’t mind if Victor forced him to help him.
However, considering Victor was kind enough to let him go, Theodore happily accepted.
However, now Theodore can only play around in his sacred dimension milk. It seemed like a good time to prepare his food stock.
Moreover, Theodore had also promised to feed Geoffrey if he needed it. For now, Theodore would probably cook some dishes he could store for a long time.
Of course, it was also in large quantities because Theodore was lazy about cooking his daily food. It’s just that Theodore needs clarification about what to cook today. He needs to open the recipe book he got when learning to cook.
"But now I have to see the situation down there." Theodore blinked his eyes a few times and focused his gaze down there.
It felt like Theodore saw what happened when the first zombie outbreak occurred. It had been almost three months since then.
Hearing the screams of some people down there brought dark memories to Theodore’s head. Not only that, Theodore also saw soldiers from Roderick’s army fighting to eradicate the zombies that had reached their area.
Fortunately, Cassian’s group was helping Roderick’s army so Theodore could rest easy even though he wasn’t there.
"I don’t need to worry about them. Cassian and his friends are strong enough to defeat those zombies," Theodore said while shrugging his shoulders indifferently.
"I’d better get back to the sacred dimension," Theodore continued as he closed his eyes to return to the sacred dimension.
When Theodore reached the sacred dimension, the breeze returned to caress the side of his face. He slowly opened his eyes, and the sun’s bright rays filled them.
The feeling of calm and peace when entering the sacred dimension was delightful for Theodore; he did not feel bored continuing to enter this sacred dimension. Because Theodore had previously checked his vegetables, he did not go there.
Theodore preferred to move in the opposite direction of where his field was located. He decided to build his own kitchen there to make it easier for him to cook in the sacred dimension.
After creating a simple kitchen in the sacred dimension, Theodore also chose several menus from the recipe book he had obtained when he learned to cook while still living in K City.
Finally, Theodore decided to make cheese, chicken katsu, and salad. For the salad, he only cut the vegetables he needed, stored them, and used them when he needed them.
That day, Theodore spent his time in the sacred dimension making food supplies. Theodore meditated until he finally left the sacred dimension to sleep in his room.
. . .
Two days had passed, and the military still hadn’t finished clearing the base of the zombies hidden by the Cataclysm Brotherhood. Theodore thought they could have done more time to solve this problem.
From yesterday, Geoffrey had come to his house for a meal, and Theodore was happy to have him eat there. Today, Geoffrey also came to his house to eat.
Theodore could see that Geoffrey was amazed that he could provide such a delicious meal, not only that he didn’t think that Theodore could provide chicken in his house.
Theodore didn’t mind telling the people around him that he had plenty of food; he just wouldn’t explain it to them.
"When do you think the military can solve this problem?" Geoffrey was still at Theodore’s house, relaxing because he was bored and alone.
"I don’t know; it seems like tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, they will be able to let us out of the house." Theodore threw a popsicle at Geoffrey, who was relaxing on his sofa.
"Woah! You’re the best, Theo!" Geoffrey’s eyes lit up when he got the popsicle from Theodore.
Geoffrey was very comfortable in Theodore’s apartment, so he decided to relax at Theodore’s house. He claimed he was afraid of being alone, even though he just wanted to rest there.
"Do you want to pick up your brother when we leave?" Theodore was curious about what Geoffrey would do when they were allowed to leave the house.
"Of course. I have to make sure that Roxanne is okay," Geoffrey replied, still busy with the popsicle Theodore had given him. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
"It’s true that you have to make sure your sister is okay. But, it looks like you have to be more patient because the military will find it difficult to clean up this matter," Theodore replied, sitting on the sofa opposite Geoffrey.
"Do you think they can clean up the zombies?" Geoffrey was honestly quite worried about the military’s ability, unsure if they could solve this problem.
"You have to believe in them. As long as you know they are strong people," said Theodore, reminding Geoffrey to remain optimistic.
However, thinking positively in this situation would be challenging, especially since it had been two days and the military had not finished cleaning up the zombies that had invaded their base.
"Are they as strong as you?" Geoffrey tilted his head curiously.
Theodore only laughed when he heard Geoffrey’s question. He got up from his position and chose to go to the balcony to see the situation there.
