Chapter 65: Discussion

Now that Theodore was inside Roxanne and Geoffrey’s apartment, fortunately, they were happy to receive him in their apartment. Theodore thought he finally had time to ask the questions that had made him curious about the situation at the base during his previous leave.

They had dinner together, so Theodore didn’t ask too severe questions since they were also eating now.

"By the way, where do you work, Roxanne?" To start their conversation, Theodore asked Roxanne this.

"I’m at the north gate," Roxanne replied briefly.

Theodore immediately remembered what Victor had said earlier about the crime at the north gate. Theodore could get some information from Roxanne on this matter.

"Are things there as bad as at the west gate?" Theodore casually asked Roxanne this.

"It can’t be as bad as the west gate. Believe me, our place is the worst," Geoffrey said, shaking his head.

"When it comes to zombie attacks, the situation at the west gate is the worst. But, the north gate is no less of a problem, especially with the people there. They’re like thugs!" Roxanne shuddered as she remembered the people who lived in the north gate.

"Is that so? I really don’t know what’s going on in the base because I went straight outside," Theodore said as he glanced at the two of them in turn.

"No wonder you don’t know." Geoffrey nodded his head in understanding of Theodore’s reasoning.

"You have to be careful when you’re out. The world has really changed. These people are no longer afraid to do criminal things. I even heard that the north gate area has a lot of murders," Roxanne explained with a pale face.

"If it’s that dangerous, shouldn’t you move out of there," Theodore said, becoming quite worried about Roxanne’s situation.

"I want to, but what else can I do," Roxanne replied with resignation.

Roxanne had tried to leave, but her superiors didn’t respond. So Roxanne could only surrender and continue working there. After all, she still needed a job to get paid and food rations from the military.

"If you want, I can pick you up after the west gate," Theodore said as he looked at Roxanne.

"I agree! I’m worried about how she is doing at the north gate." Geoffrey enthusiastically agreed with Theodore’s proposal.

Roxanne chuckled softly when she saw that the two people were worried about her situation. After the world had changed, she was relieved that there were people who were worried about her situation.

"I’m fine, if you don’t mind," Roxanne replied with a big smile.

When they had finished dinner, Theodore was still there, wanting to pry information from Geoffrey or Roxanne. When he saw that Geoffrey was free, he decided to approach him.

"Hey, I have something to ask you," Theodore said when he was near Geoffrey.

"I know you just want to ask about the situation at the west gate," Geoffrey replied, rolling his eyes lazily as he saw Theodore approaching him.

"You were suspicious there, so tell me what happened there." Since Geoffrey had already realized Theodore’s intentions, he would no longer hesitate to ask him.

Geoffrey sighed as he realized Theodore would not go home until he answered his question. Geoffrey could not help but answer the question, even though he was too lazy to talk about this matter.

"So, what do you want to know from me?" Geoffrey looked at Theodore seriously.

"For the first question, I want to ensure you’re okay, right? They didn’t hurt you, right?" Theodore was still worried about Geoffrey’s condition.

"They originally intended to do something to me because they thought I was a child, and they felt they could bully me. Thanks to you taking me to fight with the zombies, they don’t want anything to do with me now." Geoffrey shrugged his shoulders indifferently.

"I guessed it. Then, how is your relationship with the people who have the power to build walls." Theodore noticed the tension between the workers at the west gate. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

"They’re worse. The problem is with them. Walter was furious when he saw how arrogant they were to us just because they had power," Geoffrey explained angrily.

Honestly, this was the first time Theodore had seen Geoffrey angry like this, whereas he always saw Geoffrey cheerful and excited. It seemed like what people with power did.

"I also see that the supervisors Victor sent there with me don’t look right either. It looks like they will still make things difficult for you later," Theodore replied, finally understanding what happened to the workers at the west gate.

"Not only that, I’ve also heard they’re one of the plotters of the bad guys at the north gate. I’ve seen one of them together with the north gate thugs." Geoffrey clenched his fists in annoyance.

"Be careful with them; don’t pick a fight with them. It would be very dangerous if they did something to you." Theodore realized that the situation was more severe than he had imagined.

"I don’t know if I can help it if they pick a fight with us." Geoffrey just sighed roughly.

"Get some rest. I won’t bother you anymore." Theodore patted Geoffrey’s shoulder lightly, then turned around to return to his own apartment.

Before leaving, Theodore also said goodbye to Roxanne; only then did he return after doing so. Theodore walked into his apartment.

Arriving at the apartment, Theodore did not immediately shower or rest; he preferred to enter his sacred dimension, which he had not entered for a long time.

When he opened his eyes, Theodore felt a gentle breeze caressing his face. It’d been a long time since he had felt this kind of sensation, and he really missed this atmosphere.

"How are my vegetables!" Theodore strolled towards the field he had built.

After being near his field, Theodore realized that the scale of this dimension was more significant than before.

"System! Why do I feel like this place is bigger than before?" Theodore frowned, confused by his surroundings.

[The host had leveled up a lot, so naturally, the sacred dimension would become more significant according to the level the host obtained]

"No way! How could I forget this!" Theodore was shocked when he realized that he had forgotten something important.

[The host can utilize the sacred dimension because there is a lot of space that can be used]

"But, what should I do here? Don’t you have any other features you can give me?" Theodore also felt that he needed other activities in the sacred dimension.

Theodore hoped that the system would give him new features that would allow him to do things in the sacred dimension and also help him in the real world.

[The system can do it, but because the host’s level is still too small to unlock new features. Hosts can expect it in the future!]
