Chapter 53: Reinforcement

Unlike usual, this time, Theodore was also supported by fire explosions and knives that shot out very quickly on his right and left. Yes, this time, the people with power in Victor’s group also helped him from behind.

This makes Theodore’s job easier because those who help him are also more and stronger. But even so, defeating all the zombies gathered in this place will take a long time.

Meanwhile, Victor’s group was already exhausted because they had been fighting nonstop for a while, so Theodore thought they should escape from this zombie horde.

"Roderick, we have to retreat now!" Theodore shouted from the front, telling them to leave there as soon as possible.

Theodore was sure that Victor didn’t want to drag this fight any further. Not only had the number of zombies exceeded their capacity, but they were already too tired to continue.

"We’ll retreat. You’re still strong enough to hold them off, right?" After consulting with Victor, Roderick shouted from behind to tell Theodore.

"No problem with me. Slowly go upstairs. I’ll lure them." This time, Theodore had to be the bait and draw the zombies’ attention away from their army.

That way, the others could go upstairs while Theodore was already thinking of ways to save himself. Theodore wouldn’t dare to sacrifice himself like this if he wasn’t confident that he could save himself from this bunch of zombies.

After everyone understood what they would do, Theodore began his attack to distract the zombies surrounding them.

Theodore jumped high and used his Slash skill as he slammed his sword on the zombies. That way, Theodore made a hole in the middle of the zombies.

Not stopping there, Theodore immediately continued his attack by issuing the Wind Slash Skill towards the zombies in front of him, knocking back the zombies in front of him.

That way, the path in front of him was open. Theodore quickly ran forward to take the zombies away from their troops. Theodore continued to run, and it seemed that his method was successful because the zombies were chasing him, and only a few zombies were still focused on Victor and the others.

Theodore was confident that they could easily finish off the remaining zombies; he had to buy enough time for them to get to the second floor safely.

For a while, Theodore led the zombies to a place far enough away from the escalator leading to the second floor. That way, they wouldn’t have to worry about the zombies anymore.

"Damn, why are Victor’s people not as great as they say? In fact, they made me do this!" While running, Theodore chuckled in annoyance, never thinking Victor would trouble him like this.

After making sure that he had given them enough time to escape, Theodore decided to return. This time, he did the same thing he had done when he attracted the zombie’s attention.

However, the difference this time was that Theodore jumped back in the direction he came from, and then he turned around and used his Wind Slash to knock back the nearby zombies.

Although the zombies that were knocked back did not die, at least their speed was temporarily hampered. That way, Theodore also took advantage of that moment to escape from there and return to his troops.

At least Theodore could breathe a sigh of relief because he had managed to escape from the zombie siege. Fortunately, Victor and the others had completely cleaned up the zombies he had left behind earlier, so when he returned, he didn’t have to deal with them.

Theodore went up to the second floor safely. He also walked in the direction where his group was previously hiding, and sure enough, from a distance, he could see the silhouettes of many people in that place.

Roderick, who saw Theodore approaching, could finally be relieved. He had been anxious while waiting for Theodore’s arrival. Fortunately, he was okay. Otherwise, he thought they needed Theodore to find Doctor Christopher’s whereabouts.

"You’re finally back, too." Roderick nodded his head as he saw Theodore walking over.

"Luckily, I was able to give you guys plenty of time to get up here," Theodore said, not too impressed.

Then Theodore felt someone walking closer to him. From the tail of his eyes, he could see that it was Victor. He also frowned in surprise, quite curious why Victor came to him and Roderick.

"Thank you for your help; if it wasn’t for you guys, there would have been a lot of casualties in my group." With a cold face, Victor unexpectedly thanked Theodore and Roderick for their help earlier.

Theodore was secretly quite surprised. He did not expect a notoriously scary person like Victor to thank ordinary people like them.

Because he was still not used to being thanked by others, Theodore could only nod his head stiffly in reply. fгeewebnovёl.com

"Oiya, Captain Victor has already seen the giant zombie." Fortunately, Roderick came to break the awkwardness between them.

"Really?" For a moment, Theodore thought that it seemed like he had played with the zombies for too long to be able to bring Victor to see the giant zombie.

"It’s just that we still don’t know if Doctor Christopher is in the lab. If he’s not there, then it’s a waste to risk defeating the giant zombie." Victor, in his heavy voice, explained that they had to make sure first that Christopher was really in the lab.

Theodore, who already knew that Doctor Christopher was in the lab with the help of information from the system, had a headache convincing the others that Doctor Christopher was indeed there.

It would be very suspicious if Theodore said that he was sure Doctor Christopher was in the laboratory. He had to think of another way to tell them about this.

"I think there’s a good chance that Doctor Christopher is in the lab, but to be sure, we can search elsewhere on the second floor. Today, we’ve checked half of them and still haven’t seen any sign of Doctor Christopher." For now, Theodore could only answer like this.

At least with Theodore saying so, Victor wouldn’t suspect him too much. They still had to explore the other half of the remaining rooms on the second floor to ensure there was no Doctor Christopher there. fɾeewebnoveℓ.co๓

In addition, they had to complete the search quickly because Theodore knew that Doctor Christopher had very little time at the moment.

At the moment, only Theodore knows Doctor Christopher’s whereabouts, and he is pressed for time; they have to save the doctor by tomorrow at the latest!
