Chapter 124: Not Safe Anymore
Theodore was focused on dodging the zombies, slamming their bare hands at him. His distance from the zombie witch was already quite close, but Theodore’s movements stopped when he saw the sky above his head begin to darken.
When Theodore looked up, he saw one of the zombies with a more enormous body than the others jumping and targeting Theodore with both hands, ready to crush him.
Realizing the sudden attack, Theodore knew that he would not have time to dodge it; he could only reduce the damage he would receive by blocking the zombie’s attack.
When Theodore was getting ready to receive the attack, he heard a woman’s voice beside him.
Suddenly, Chelsea came and threw the machete she was carrying at the feet of a large zombie. That way, she could disrupt the zombie’s landing and pull Theodore’s hand from there.
"What are you doing here?" Theodore was surprised to see Chelsea suddenly joining him in the fight against this powerful zombie.
"Think of it as my apology to you for what happened that night," Chelsea said with a serious face.
Chelsea couldn’t calm down as she watched the zombies’ movements. They started growling angrily at them, and Chelsea could tell with certainty that their murderous air was overwhelming.
Chelsea usually didn’t take an active role in killing zombies, but now that she was in the middle of the fight with just Theodore, she could clearly feel the pressure the zombies were putting on them.
Remembering that Chelsea knew his secret, Theodore unhesitatingly summoned another sword from the sacred dimension. He gave it to Chelsea to replace the machete that was now stuck in the leg of a large zombie.
"Help me block those zombies. I need to kill the zombie that can shoot fireballs," Theodore explained. freёwebnovel.com
"O-okay!" Chelsea, who was experiencing a serious situation like this for the first time, could only nod stiffly.
"If you can’t, run and let them chase me," Theodore said before running back towards the zombie witches who began to move away from him.
It was already tricky for Theodore to chase after the zombie witch, but now it was moving further away.
Luckily, while moving, the zombie couldn’t release its power, so Theodore didn’t have to worry about it releasing its fireballs at him again. Theodore quickened his pace; he wanted to behead the zombie witch quickly.
When he saw the zombie witch stop moving, Theodore guessed she would immediately attack him with another fireball.
So, before the zombie could attack him, Theodore jumped high in the air so he could reach the zombie. When he was above the zombie, Theodore accurately slammed his sword into the zombie below him.
Before launching his attack, Theodore activated his Slash skill so that the damage he caused to the zombie would be more significant.
In one slash of his sword, the zombie witch’s head fell to the ground. Theodore also slammed his sword hard to remove the blood splashes on the blade.
Not stopping there, Theodore immediately moved to deal with the four other zombies that Chelsea was blocking.
Theodore already knew how difficult it was to withstand the zombies’ attacks, so he quickly returned to Chelsea and helped her defeat the remaining zombies.
When he was near Chelsea, Theodore said, "Back off. I’ll take your place against their attacks. "
Chelsea, hearing the order, immediately moved back and let Theodore take her place to face the zombies, who had astonishing physical strength.
"If you see an opening to finish them off, go for it," Theodore said something before he started attacking the zombies.
"I see," Chelsea replied, nodding her head thoughtfully.
It took them a while to kill the four zombies with powers; it wasn’t easy for them to subvert all the zombies. Not to mention that there were still ordinary zombies who also looked quite a lot there.
Since they had defeated the four powerful zombies, killing all the ordinary zombies near the entrance of the building they were in was quite easy for the two of them.
"I’ll help you up," Theodore said as they had to get back into the building through the gap between the truck and the entrance.
Theodore let Chelsea step on his hand and lift her up so she could reach the handrail at the top of the truck. After ensuring Chelsea could get on top of the tub, it was Theodore’s turn to get up there.
Theodore didn’t have any trouble. He just needed to jump to reach the handle on the top of the tub. He easily climbed up and made it back into the building.
"Brother Theo! Am I hurt?" Geoffrey, who had been waiting inside the building, immediately rushed over to Theodore and Chelsea, who had just returned.
"I’m just tired. Can you guys continue moving this stuff by yourselves? I really need to rest right now," Theodore explained with bags under his eyes.
The people there could clearly see Theodore was tired, mainly since he had been patrolling near the 3rd-floor elevator stairs all night.
"I’ll take over the business here; you go rest." Chelsea immediately told Theodore to go rest. She also felt sorry to see Theodore’s tired state.
Theodore walked away and got into his car, waving his hand towards the others. He intended to go to the sacred dimension to maximize his rest.
And Theodore would take that risk this time, especially since he also wanted to soak in the pure water river in his sacred dimension.
Once Theodore arrived in his car, he chose to sleep in the back seat. Slowly, Theodore closed his eyes, and instantly, he could feel the breeze caressing his face.
When he opened his eyes, Theodore was already asleep on the smooth grass in the sacred dimension. Theodore lazily walked towards the bamboo forest; he wanted to soak and sleep in the pure river water.
After removing all his clothes, Theodore immediately threw himself into the river of pure water. Theodore missed the calming sensation he got from this river of pure water. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
"System, wake me up if someone is looking for me outside. I don’t want them to find out about my disappearance when they don’t find me," Theodore reminded the system to wake him up later.
[The host can trust the system with that problem]
"I’m counting on you, system!" Theodore smiled widely and began to close his eyes to rest in the river of pure water.
Meanwhile, outside the sacred dimension, under Chelsea’s leadership, the others continued their work until they felt that they had enough for today. Given that there was still a lot of stuff they had to move, they were already exhausted.
Their group now needed additional human labour; they hoped Cassian and the others would be able to help tomorrow.
