Chapter 123: Get Back To Work
Fortunately, nothing dangerous happened last night, only the atmosphere between Theodore and Chelsea was tense. Roxanne was assigned to care for the wounded and was also busy that night.
And now, because Cassian and several other people were still tired and injured, Theodore led the others in moving the goods from the second floor to the truck on the ground floor.
With no help from Cassian, who could make a connecting slide from the second floor to the truck, they worked manually, which would take more time than before.
Therefore, Theodore immediately invited the others to work. Theodore’s goal for today was to successfully move a quarter of all the foodstuffs that Cassian’s group had collected earlier.
"So that the truck doesn’t get messy, it’s better to move the big items first," Theodore said, moving heavy and oversized items such as rice, beans, and flour.
There were only 5 people available to work today, so Theodore grabbed a few bags of rice and lifted the ground floor, where their truck was.
Chelsea, who was also there, awkwardly followed the others to move the items they had collected on the second floor. Chelsea honestly felt quite guilty about what she had done to Theodore.
It’s just that Chelsea also didn’t want to apologize to Theodore first because she felt embarrassed. After all, it was she who made the atmosphere between them worse than before.
"You don’t look well. Are you tired?" Geoffrey, who also helped, looked at Chelsea, who was pensive and walking with a blank stare, not looking as sharp as usual.
"Ah, I’m fine." Chelsea only smiled slightly as she glanced at Geoffrey walking next to her.
"Well, if you want to rest, just tell Brother Theodore. He will definitely let you rest," Geoffrey replied enthusiastically.
Hearing that, Chelsea just smiled awkwardly, stiffly nodded, and quickened her pace to avoid Geoffrey.
While Geoffrey looked at the fleeing Chelsea with a strange look, he tilted his head in confusion. He felt something was wrong with Chelsea. Geoffrey guessed Chelsea became like that because of last night’s incident.
But Geoffrey didn’t understand why; Chelsea became strange as if it was just because of the problem. Geoffrey was thinking of talking to Theodore about this.
Theodore himself had not considered his problem with Chelsea anymore because he was very busy helping others organize the goods in the truck that had been moved from the second floor. freeweɓnovel.cøm
So now, only four people were working to move the goods while Theodore was in the truck arranging the goods.
Just when Theodore thought the day was going to go smoothly, his expectations were way off. As he was busy arranging the items in the back of the truck, he felt the truck shake as if it had been hit by another truck.
"What’s going on?" Theodore, who had fallen and hit the wall of the truck, almost cursed out loud when he felt the shaking.
Theodore quickly climbed over the truck to see what was happening. When he looked outside the building, he saw a horde of zombies walking towards the truck parked inside the building and blocking the entrance.
In addition, Theodore saw about five zombies with a different appearance from the usual ones. Theodore immediately realized that the five zombies from the horde were zombies with powers.
"No wonder this truck is shaking; there are those who have power among them." Theodore shook his head when he saw the zombie horde.
Inevitably, Theodore had to go out to kill the zombies. The gap between the truck and the broken door was only a little, so Theodore had to exert enough effort to get out of the building.
After leaving the building, Theodore was immediately greeted by a fireball aimed at his body. Theodore was forced to roll on the ground when he realized the fireball was aimed at him.
Also, when Theodore had just rolled over, he immediately felt another attack coming at him, and a pale zombie hand slammed towards him.
Again, Theodore had to dodge the attack. This time, he rolled forward to avoid the attack. Theodore could see that the place where he was was now destroyed by the zombie with extraordinary strength.
"They’re after me... again?" Theodore looked confused as he realized that the zombies were deliberately targeting him.
Theodore quickly got up from his position; he didn’t want to be attacked while rolling on the ground. Theodore immediately summoned his sword from the sacred dimension and reignited his attack by activating his Wind Slash skill.
"So what if you’re targeting me? I’ll kill you all without exception!" Theodore grinned widely, and his eyes locked onto one of the zombies who had power.
Although the zombies with extraordinary physical strength looked very dangerous, Theodore preferred to kill zombies that could attack him from a distance.
One of them is the zombie that first threw a fireball at Theodore. So that he could focus on killing the zombie witch, he activated his Sprint skill and ran as fast as possible to reach the zombie.
Knowing that Theodore was targeting the zombie witch, the other zombies with melee powers cut him off and started attacking him with all their power.
Theodore had to jump back again to avoid the attack. He sighed softly and started forward again, holding his sword tightly.
While running, Theodore swung his sword to deflect the attacks coming towards him; the zombies with melee power didn’t allow him to get close to the zombie witch.
The problem was that the zombie witch was more active. She also relaunched her attack to attack Theodore with her terrifying fireball.
While Theodore was struggling to fight off the zombies, the people from the second floor started to reach the ground floor and heard a noise from behind their truck.
To their surprise, they saw Theodore fighting with several zombies with powers simultaneously.
"You guys have to do something. Brother Theo will die if no one helps him defeat those powerful zombies!" Geoffrey began to panic when he saw one of the zombies that was able to release a fireball from its mouth.
Chelsea, who was also there, was transfixed when she saw Theodore fighting fiercely with the zombies. She clenched her fists, thinking this was the time to mend her relationship with Theodore.
Without saying much, Chelsea climbed onto the tailgate, began slipping through the small gap between the trucks to get out, and decided to help Theodore defeat the zombies.
