Chapter 122: I Need Your Help
Since it was already night, Theodore again organized a night watch for the remaining group members. They also have to pay attention to the situation around the elevator to the 3rd floor; of course, they don’t want a sudden attack from zombies coming down from the 3rd floor.
Theodore began to organize four people who would patrol during their night watch process, and he himself would be on guard overnight. There were only six people left among them, and honestly, they needed more people to patrol.
Therefore, Theodore took the initiative to patrol throughout the night so the others could take turns resting.
When discussing who would patrol first, they were all surprised by Chelsea’s arrival, who had not been there with them.
Chelsea, with a face that looked like she was about to get angry, walked straight towards Theodore, sitting and talking about the patrol they would do tonight.
Without any signal, Chelsea pulled Theodore’s hand and intended to pull him to come with her towards the meat place, quite far from where they were currently gathered.
Theodore, surprised to suddenly be pulled like that, immediately released Chelsea’s grip on his hand.
"What the hell are you doing?" This was the first time Theodore felt like being angry with someone. He didn’t expect Chelsea to be the one who would make him angry like this.
"Help me bring back Cassian from that place." Without explaining what it meant to pull Theodore like that, Chelsea immediately told Theodore to help her bring back her older brother, who had not returned until now.
"You can ask me for help nicely without doing something insignificant like this," Theodore replied, still annoyed with Chelsea’s treatment of him.
"I don’t want to hear your nonsense anymore. Hurry up and help me bring Cassian back!" Chelsea, who had begun to lose her temper, began to yell at Theodore with eyes that looked frantic.
Theodore understood Chelsea’s concern about Cassian’s current state. Still, he didn’t want to help someone who didn’t appreciate his efforts, especially since Chelsea’s way of asking for help was very annoying.
Even now, Theodore no longer thought about helping Chelsea; he would not do anything Chelsea asked him to do.
"I won’t help you. Do it yourself if you want to save Cassian," Theodore said, trying not to raise his voice.
Chelsea looked lost when she heard Theodore’s words. She felt like crying at that moment because her only hope of saving her brother was gone. Chelsea unconsciously clenched her hands and began to turn around without saying anything to Theodore.
Then, amid the tension, everyone heard a voice from the meat place where Cassian and the others were. Not only that, but everyone also listened to the voice of someone shouting the word ’Now’.
Theodore, who heard the shout, rolled his eyes lazily. He knew that the code was directed at him because earlier, when Cassian met him before leaving, he said he would give him the code to come help him.
Because previously Theodore had promised Cassian to assist him, now he had to help those who were in there.
In order to get to the place as quickly as possible, Theodore ran towards the meat place. He also ran past Chelsea, who had already walked there.
When passing Chelsea, Theodore turned to her and said in an icy voice, "I’m not doing this for you; remember that."
Since it was dark around the place, Theodore summoned his sword directly from the sacred dimension without fear of being caught and immediately ran towards the meat place.
Theodore, who had already been inside the place, knew where he had to go to find Cassian and the others. And sure enough, when Theodore entered, he heard the sound of a wild dog growling.
"Get the hell out of here. I’m going to arrest this bastard!" Cassian’s voice was heard in the distance.
Hearing that, Theodore quickened his pace, following the voice. On his way, he met Winsor, who was carrying a man with one other person. Behind him were two other people following.
"Theodore! Please help Cassian; he’s still in the back holding that damn dog," Winsor said, immediately filled with hope when he saw Theodore’s figure.
"Don’t worry about it. You guys go out quickly." Theodore quickly told the people to leave the place.
Theodore went deeper into the meat place and found Cassian using his power to attack the dog. The dog was showing its fangs, which dangled out and looked very sharp.
Seeing that Theodore quickly cast his Wind Slash skill to disrupt the dog’s concentration, when the dog was off guard, Theodore moved forward to attack the dog.
Cassian had already exerted all his strength to seriously injure the dog, so it was quite easy for Theodore to deal with the mutated dog, which was already in a weak stage.
To disrupt the dog’s movement, Theodore attacked its four legs and made it howl in pain. Theodore jumped high enough to get a big enough opening to attack the dog’s neck.
While activating his Vanishing Strike skill, Theodore concentrated all his power on the tip of his sword and thrust it towards the dog’s wide-open neck.
Theodore’s sword pierced through the dog’s neck, and his body was splashed with blood that spurted from the wound he caused on the dog’s neck.
To end his attack, Theodore swung his still-embedded sword to the proper, cut the dog’s neck, and ended its life. Immediately afterwards, the mutt’s massive body began to fall to the ground beside Theodore’s feet.
"I’m still not used to the blood of these bastards," Theodore said, looking at his bloodied body with disgust; he had to take the time to enter the sacred dimension to clean himself.
Cassian slowly walked over to Theodore and tapped him lightly on the shoulder as he said, "It’s a good thing you heard my code. Otherwise, I don’t think I would have been able to survive that damn dog attack." ƒrēewebnovel.com
Seeing Cassian’s terrible condition, Theodore helped him leave the place.
"But, you’ve greatly weakened that dog. Otherwise, I would have had difficulty killing it," Theodore said honestly.
"To do that, I would have had to use all my strength; now my strength is gone," Cassian replied with a sigh.
Although Cassian had power, he could only use it to a certain extent; with his limited mana, he continuously used that power.
Theodore shrugged his shoulders indifferently, and they continued to walk towards the exit of this place. He couldn’t stand the unpleasant odour in that place.
Chelsea immediately went to Cassian and took over from Theodore’s hand when they came out of the place.
Theodore, who was still upset about Chelsea’s actions, looked at her sharply without intending to hide his intensity.
Because many people were exhausted and injured, Theodore still had to stay awake all night to do patrol.
