Chapter 114: Will It Be Quite Tonight?
Since Cassian can only create one barrier wall at a time, the barrier wall in front of the building’s gate has long since disappeared. And now, some zombies were around the building area.
"There aren’t many of them; we better kill them first before moving the cars," Cassian said, ordering the others to kill the zombies first.
To speed up the process of moving their cars, Cassian also asked one of his group members to go back inside and call others to help them.
While waiting for help from inside, Theodore also helped Cassian and the others kill the zombies.
Theodore also swung his sword to withstand the zombies’ attacks that had turned ferocious. He had to make an opening to counterattack the zombies he was facing.
Theodore was getting used to fighting these vicious zombies, so he could quite easily defeat them.
Moreover, there are not too many zombies here, so it is quite easy for Theodore to kill them, unlike before, when he was surrounded by hordes of zombies.
When help from inside came, Theodore also chose to let them handle the remaining zombies while he went to his car and moved it into the building.
"You don’t mind me going first, do you?" Theodore asked Cassian so he could park the car inside the building.
"No problem. The others and I will follow behind you." Cassian allowed Theodore to go first.
Given that the cars brought by Cassian’s group were large, they decided to let Theodore go first so he wouldn’t have to wait for them. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
With the others’ approval, Theodore unhesitatingly drove his car towards the ground floor that they had previously occupied.
Fortunately, there were already some people waiting inside who helped open the entrance to the building, so Theodore only had to drive the car into the building.
It was just that Theodore thought that the large truck Cassian had brought couldn’t fit through the door, given that the truck’s size was more significant than the door’s. Theodore thought they would have to break down the door to get the car inside.
After successfully getting the car into the building, Theodore quickly parked it safely and got out as soon as he was done. Theodore was sure Cassian would decide to ram the door with his truck so they could get inside.
Slowly, Cassian’s group’s smaller cars made it in safely, and they parked their cars close to Theodore’s car.
Then, when it was Cassian’s truck’s turn to drive up to the building’s entrance, it was clear that the door was too small for the oversized truck.
"Should I break this door by crashing into it?" Cassian poked his head out the truck’s window, asking the others for their opinions.
"Wouldn’t breaking down the chief’s door be dangerous?"
"What if the zombies enter the building because we broke the door?"
"But our truck won’t be able to get in if the door isn’t destroyed!"
Some people didn’t seem too happy with the idea of destroying the door, as it was their barrier to the zombies that might enter the building.
Cassian was in a dilemma. He agreed with what some of his group members were saying, but on the other hand, they also had to get the truck inside so he could move the items they had collected into it.
It’s okay to smash the door. Then, you can park the truck horizontally to block the zombies from getting into the building." Theodore finally expressed his opinion.
"I guess it’s fine then."
"At least we can make the truck replace the destroyed door."
The others seemed quite satisfied with Theodore’s suggestion. Cassian finally made the decision to do it the way Theodore had suggested.
With the group members’ help, the building’s entrance was destroyed so that their truck could get inside. Then, after the car was already inside the building, Cassian deftly parked the truck horizontally, making it a new barrier to replace the door they had destroyed.
After parking the truck, Cassian got out and led the others back to the first floor. They needed to move the items they had collected into the truck bed.
"I can make it easier, but I can only do it briefly. My strength is quite depleted after the attack," Cassian said grimly as he realized his strength was weakening from exhaustion.
"No problem, chief. We’ll move it manually if you’re within your limit," the other members encouraged Cassian.
"Alright, let’s get moving!" Cassian began to encourage the others to move the items.
Cassian divided his group into two teams. One team was placed inside the truck while the other helped him move the goods from above. Cassian used the technique they used when escaping from the mall.
By making a slide that extended from the first floor to the tailgate of their truck, given that it was quite a distance, Cassian’s strength was sucked in more because of that.
Seeing what happened, Theodore thought of giving Cassian one of his mana crystals so that he could replenish his power.
However, if Theodore did that, he would also have to explain the mana crystal to Cassian. For some reason, Theodore had no intention of giving this information to anyone else.
At least for now, Theodore thought to keep this information to himself; anyway,; in the future, they will also know about it.
When Theodore was deep in thought, he was surprised to feel someone patting his back from behind. When he turned around, he found a grinning Geoffrey there.
"You’re taking revenge on me, aren’t you?" Theodore pretended to be angry as he saw Geoffrey laughing at his surprise.
"Why are you wrinkling your forehead like that, sis? Is there something bothering you?" Geoffrey tilted his head curiously.
"Nothing like that. Then, why are you alone here and not helping the others?" Theodore quickly diverted the conversation. He had already decided not to say anything about the mana crystal.
"I was just about to help Cassian up there. You should also help the others," Geoffrey retorted, looking annoyed.
Theodore waved his hand to shoo Geoffrey away. Young men like Geoffrey were sometimes too sensitive and realized something was wrong, so he deliberately shooed him away to another place.
To relieve his guilt, Theodore occupied himself by helping the others organize the goods upstairs.
