Chapter 113: Why You Call Me?

Cassian immediately called Theodore when he saw him coming from a distance; he needed to discuss the problems they would face on the second floor later.

Because of the commotion they caused on the first floor, the zombies on the second floor began to hear the commotion on the first floor, and they began to descend to the first floor. At this time, Cassian made a barrier wall above the elevator leading to the second floor.

Theodore, who saw Cassian, quickened his pace. When he was next to Cassian, Theodore realized that there was already a barrier wall above the elevator, so he immediately thought something was happening there.

"Why did you make a barrier wall here? Are the zombies at the top trying to get down?" Theodore suspected the zombies on the second floor were trying to get down to the first floor, so Cassian built the barrier.

"Yes, they’re trying to get downstairs. I don’t know why they suddenly intended to go downstairs, but I suspect they heard the riot we created here," Cassian explained, nodding his head.

"That’s how sensitive they were to realize you were downstairs. But, whatever their reason for going downstairs, it’s a good move to put a barrier there," Theodore said, feeling safer knowing that Cassian had already made a barrier there.

"You’re right; it would be very worrying if there was no barrier, especially if we decide to rest on this floor," Cassian replied, shuddering at the thought of them being ambushed by zombies while they slept.

"Chelsea said that you called me. Is there something you want to tell me?" Theodore finally asked what Cassian’s interest was in calling him here.

"I almost forgot about it. I wanted to ask you about those zombies with powers. Did you find a way to tell them apart?" Cassian tapped his forehead lightly as he almost forgot something important.

"Fortunately, I’ve observed them and suspected some of these things that make zombies with powers different from ordinary zombies," Theodore replied as he nodded. frёewebηovel.cѳm

Theodore then began to explain what he already knew about the zombies with powers. Theodore also added that what he said was just a guess because he also did not know for sure whether the signs he found were definitely the same as all zombies who had powers.

"It turns out they do have differences. Although the signs are not certain, they can make it easier to find them among the zombies." Cassian felt significantly helped by the information Theodore gave him.

"Well, at least we already have enough information to identify them." Theodore had to spread this information because he couldn’t find the zombies with powers alone.

It was not easy to find them alone, especially when they were swarmed by zombies; if there were many people who knew about it, they could identify them faster.

That would significantly reduce their losses, so Theodore was happy to share that information with Cassian so that Cassian could tell the others about it.

"Then, can you help me collect the items that are still fit for use? The military also told me to bring a lot of supplies for them," Cassian sighed.

Theodore chuckled softly when he heard Cassian’s complaints about the military people, "It seems like you really listen to what they say," Theodore said later.

"What can I say? They let us stay at the base in exchange for us working for them," Cassian replied, frowning, not too happy with what the military was doing to them.

"I’ll go help the others, then," Theodore said as he tapped Cassian lightly on the shoulder. Then he turned and left to help the others gather supplies to take back to the base.

After walking around this floor a few times, Theodore realized that it contained a variety of clothes, sandals, and shoes, as well as some cleaning supplies. Their group had only 13 members, three of whom were Theodore and his group.

It seemed that Cassian spread out the rest of his uninjured group to collect items from all over the floor. frёeωebɳovel.com

Theodore saw that Geoffrey was also collecting items that he and his sister might need. Theodore decided to approach Geoffrey, who was collecting blankets and thick jackets.

"Looks like you’re preparing for the coming winter," Theodore said from behind Geoffrey.

Geoffrey jumped in surprise when he heard the voice from behind him. When Geoffrey turned around to see Theodore there, he sighed in relief.

"Gosh, can you not startle me?" Geoffrey frowned in annoyance as he looked at Theodore, walking closer to him.

"I’m sorry. You look very serious," Theodore said and sat beside Geoffrey, who was choosing a thick jacket that was still fit.

"I’m worried about the coming winter. We’ll definitely need warm clothes to go out, but we can’t bring much, so I’m not sure which ones to bring," Geoffrey explained while looking at the thick jackets in his hands.

Theodore took Geoffrey’s cue lightly, then said, "Just pick whichever one you want to bring. I’ll take care of it."

Geoffrey’s eyes lit up as he heard Theodore say, "You’re not lying to me, are you, brother?" Geoffrey asked again to confirm.

"When have I ever lied to you? Oh yeah, don’t forget to pick out some blankets or sheets that can still be used. They will be useful for you at home later," Theodore replied while telling Geoffrey to look for other necessities.

"Alright, I’ll listen to you. I can choose as many as I want, right?" Since there was still no doubt about Theodore’s words, Geoffrey returned to confirm it.

"Yes, choose as many as you want. I’ll go help the others. First, I’ll come back later," Theodore replied while getting up.

Theodore then left and approached the other members of Cassian’s group; he began to help them collect items that were still worth using.

Although there were only clothes on the first floor, Theodore thought that their base would really need this, given that it would soon be expanding and receiving more people.

The items that were still fit for use were gathered in a reasonably clean place before they would move the items to their cars.

When Cassian saw that many items had been collected, he went with some of his group members to bring their cars into the building and park them on the ground floor.

Of course, Cassian did this to make it easier for them to move the items they had collected. Theodore joined them, wanting to move his car into the building.

It’s just that when they got out of the building, they had to deal with the zombies around the building area again. It seems that the zombies entered when Cassian lost the barrier wall.
