Chapter 12: Saga 12— I know you have Big Tits...But that doesn’t give you the Right to Nearly.....Almost Kill Me..
Kael’s head was literally about to be decapitated from his body. You know there was a saying: Amidst the point of death, all living beings discover new talents that they didn’t even know they had. In Kael’s case, he became unnervingly flexible. Like "My bones flex like rubber" kind of flexibility.
The blade grazed his neck before he dove his head downwards and bent his back like an upside-down banana. With both hands on the floor, he flipped upside down—"Head down — legs up." Sylvia reacted instantly and changed the trajectory of her blade downwards.
’You have to be kidding me.’
Kael wasn’t shocked about how quickly she adapted. The way her tits bounced up and down was simply a sight to behold for him.
Purple flame-like mana coated Kael’s legs. He split his legs open and spun them like a saucer.
"Retro Reverse!"
He forced Sylvia back with his sudden counterattack. Kael flipped himself into a standing position.
"Listen, I think we can talk this out. There’s obviously some kind of misunderstanding."
Kael waved his hands in the air, signifying a kind of truce. Sylvia didn’t seem to approve.
"How about I spill the secrets and lies out of your guts?"
From the experience she had as a hunter, she knew when someone was a novice and when they were adept.
"How long have you been a hunter for?"
"Wait! You don’t need to answer. It’s probably going to be another lie."
Sylvia had completely disregarded every form of truce between them. She was out for blood and dead set on killing him.
’Her killing intent is no joke.’
"Well then, pretty lady..." Kael’s mana surged.
"Let’s rumble!"
A sword appeared in each of his hands, then a mana stone necklace around his neck. He smashed the two swords into each other, and golden light burst forth.
[Ability: Merger has been unleashed]
[New sword forged: Repairable Blade of Destruction]
Kael got into a forward stance.
"Accel."
He breached the distance between him and Sylvia in less than a second.
A floating sword blocked Kael’s blade before it could reach Sylvia. Kael was perplexed.
’A floating sword, really?’
The abilities she possessed now were far more sophisticated than when they fought during the transfer test.
"This makes no mistake—" Kael yelped.
"You are not battling Sylvia Weisston—"
"You are at war with the Sword Princess, and I know no mercy."
Her voice boomed. Kael was so focused on the movement of her lips that he didn’t notice when she came up from behind him.
Luckily for him, he leaped upwards in the nick of time, but not without paying a price.
’My arm...’
His right arm was severed before he could escape. He burnt the cut to stop the bleeding. He held up his sword directly at Sylvia as he landed on the ground.
"You couldn’t stop me with two hands. How are you going to stop me with one?" she sneered.
"Why don’t you watch and see?"
Kael vanished, leaving behind a fleeting afterimage.
"Cascading through the imperials of darkness—"
His voice echoed from all around the colosseum, but Sylvia couldn’t see him.
’Don’t tell me? That’s a concurrent incarnation.’
She soon figured out that Kael was moving from place to place within the shadows and chanting. She could hardly believe that he had mastered the secret arts of the High Elves.
"Real Rog Zebous boils—"
"The beggar cries—"
Darkness began to erode the inner linings of the colosseum.
"Bring forth the days of sorrow and sloth."
The darkness condensed into the wide mouth of a dragon filled with jagged teeth, swimming through the ground towards Sylvia.
’This is an ultimate spell.’
She watched as the dragon head came towards her.
"Arcen Draciida Vogous!"
The dragon head consumed Sylvia and clamped its mouth shut. Kael’s body rolled out of the shadow of the watching stand onto the floor.
He was weakened and could barely move a muscle.
’I didn’t mean to go that extreme, but she gave me no choice.’
Kael’s breath heaved. Cracks appeared all over the dragon head. From them, blinding white light broke forth.
"You really are something, aren’t you?"
The dragon head shattered. All that remained was Sylvia standing tall, unmarred by his spell.
"Since you went out of your way to use an ultimate spell," her mana skyrocketed as her feet lifted off the ground.
"Then I might as well go out of my own way and use one of my abilities."
She raised her hand up in the air. Space gave way as the very fabric of reality parted, and a rift appeared behind her. Then it spread until it filled half of the airspace above their heads.
The rift disappeared, but something even more devastating remained. A ring of about a thousand-plus swords, arranged from the sky down to the hand that Sylvia lifted up.
"Supreme Ability—"
Her voice carried with undefiable authority.
Kael stared up at the sky incredulously.
"How is this even possible... something of this scale, how?"
Kael stuttered. He was undoubtedly going to die from this attack.
[Danger Alert!]
[The host must escape immediately. The Sword System’s core talent negates the Immortal Assist.]
"What did you fucking say?"
Kael used the last of his vocal strength to shout.
He knew he was going to die, but he stayed behind because he had the Immortality Assist. But now even that couldn’t save him anymore.
"At this point, I would need a miracle," Kael muttered.
[Update!]
[Prompted task has been flawlessly completed.]
[The host has gained ×5,000 EXP and a disguise Mask.]
[The host has leveled up.]
[The host has leveled up.]
[The host has leveled up.]
[The host has leveled up.]
[The host has leveled up.]
[LVL 45 > 50]
[The host has ranked up (Lucky you).]
[D > C]
[All the host’s wounds have been healed. Stamina and mana have also been replenished.]
Kael had never been this glad in his entire life.
"Okay!"
He stood on his feet. Even with the rank-up, he still wasn’t sure he could tank the attack that was about to befall him—he also couldn’t run at this point.
"I guess I will have to face it head-on?"
His voice carried. Sylvia looked down at him with eyes filled with mixed emotions. He wasn’t sure whether it was shock, irritation, or disdain.
"Grandbell Fra—"
A red light sizzled around Sylvia’s body. She fell—all the swords disappeared.
