Chapter 45: Chapter 45: The Uninvited Guest

When they finally arrived at their house in the Black Forest, Ryutaro was shocked to see the outside was in complete disarray.

"What is this? Why is it so messy?" Ryutaro exclaimed.

"Yeah, you’re right. As far as I remember, everything was fine before we left for the Rosette Kingdom. Did someone come while we were away?" Grace said.

"You’re right, Grace. Should we go in first?" Aurelia suggested.

"But we need to be cautious. Don’t let our guard down," Alice warned.

The three of them attempted to enter, while Miyuki, Rin, and Charlotte stayed in the car.

"So this is Ryutaro’s house?" Miyuki asked.

"Yes, he’s lived here all this time," Charlotte replied.

"Hmm, why does it feel so familiar?" Rin remarked.

"Of course it feels familiar. Ryutaro mentioned this house once belonged to the first hero," Charlotte explained.

"Really? No wonder it feels familiar," Rin said.

"You told Alice to come here, but now you’ve forgotten?" Miyuki teased.

"Sorry, I only knew Ryutaro lived in the Black Forest, but I didn’t know the exact location," Rin admitted.

"Is that so? But how did Alice get here then, if you didn’t know the exact place?" Charlotte questioned.

"Maybe it was her instinct or just a coincidence," Rin suggested.

"That makes sense. So, do we go in?" Miyuki asked.

"For now, let’s stay outside and keep watch. I’m worried we might be surrounded," Rin said.

"Alright then," Charlotte agreed.

The three of them stayed in the car, keeping watch in case they were surrounded.

Meanwhile, Ryutaro, Alice, Grace, and Aurelia were getting ready to enter the house.

"Alright, we’re at the door. Everyone, stay alert," Ryutaro instructed.

They all nodded in agreement.

Ryutaro carefully opened the door, but to his surprise, he found a woman sleeping on the couch in the living room.

"Why is there a woman here? Who is she?" Ryutaro murmured to himself.

He quickly closed the door again. Grace, who was behind him, was confused.

"What’s wrong? Why did you close the door again?" Grace asked.

"There’s a woman sleeping on the couch inside," Ryutaro replied.

"What? A woman? Are you sure you’re not mistaken?" Grace asked.

"I’m sure. If you don’t believe me, take a look yourself," Ryutaro urged.

Not believing him, Grace decided to take a look inside.

Meanwhile, Aurelia, Alice, and Miyuki were still thinking about the woman Ryutaro had mentioned.

"If it’s true, who do you think she is?" Alice wondered.

"Is she an enemy? Or a friend?" Miyuki asked.

"What if she’s another one of Ryutaro’s potential girlfriends?" Aurelia teased.

Ryutaro hit Aurelia on the head for that remark.

"(Hitting Aurelia on the head) Can you be serious for once, or do I have to make you plant again?" Ryutaro said.

"(Holding her head where Ryutaro hit it) Hey, don’t be like that! I’m just joking, but it’s true you seem like a magnet for women," Aurelia replied.

"(Clenching his fist) You..." Ryutaro said, getting annoyed.

Just as Ryutaro was about to hit Aurelia again, Grace arrived at their location.

"See? I wasn’t lying," Ryutaro said.

"You were right. There’s a woman sleeping on the couch," Grace confirmed.

"So, what are we going to do?" Aurelia asked.

"For now, how about we wake her up and ask for her identity?" Ryutaro suggested.

"Good idea."

They all agreed and quietly entered the house, eventually reaching the woman.

Ryutaro tried to wake her up.

"Excuse me, can you wake up?" Ryutaro asked.

"(Rubbing her eyes) Hmm? Who’s that? Stop bothering me, I’m trying to sleep," the woman replied.

Ryutaro seemed frustrated by her response. Just as he was about to hit her, Grace stopped him.

After calming down, Ryutaro asked the woman, "Hello, are you awake? Can you tell me who you are?"

"You must be Ryutaro Onee-chan, right? My name is Lilith," the woman said.

Ryutaro was taken aback by her calling him "Onee-chan."

"Onee-chan? Why are you calling me that?" Ryutaro asked, confused.

"Because you seem like a perfect fit for it," Lilith said.

Aurelia laughed at the situation.

"Pfttt, Onee-chan? Looks like you officially have a new little sister," Aurelia teased.

Ryutaro quickly told Lilith to stop calling him that, but she insisted on calling him "Onee-chan."

"Lilith, can you call me something else?" Ryutaro asked.

"No, I won’t call you anything else," Lilith replied stubbornly.

Seeing Lilith refuse to change her way of calling him, Ryutaro reluctantly gave in.

"Fine, but stop whining. How old are you?" Ryutaro asked.

"I’m 200 years old," Lilith answered.

"Ha? 200 years old? Why are you still acting like this?" Ryutaro asked, bewildered.

"I don’t know. I just don’t want to change how I call you," Lilith pouted.

"(Sighing) Alright, you can call me that," Ryutaro said with resignation.

Upon hearing that Ryutaro allowed her to call him "Onee-chan," Lilith stopped whining.

"By the way, where are you from, and why are you here?" Ryutaro asked.

"I’m from Ashen Fang," Lilith said.

Upon hearing that Lilith came from Ashen Fang, the legendary dragon hunter group, Aurelia immediately prepared to attack her, but Grace stopped her.

"Wait, what are you planning to do?" Ryutaro asked.

"What else? I want to get rid of her. She’s from Ashen Fang, the group that killed my family," Aurelia said, angry.

"I know, but don’t act impulsively. We don’t know why she’s here yet, do we?" Ryutaro reminded her.

"That’s true, but I can’t just let her live like this," Aurelia said.

"I understand it’s hard for you, but let’s at least hear her out first," Grace advised.

"Fine, we’ll listen to what she has to say. But if she tries anything, don’t blame me for killing her," Aurelia said.

After calming down, Ryutaro continued questioning Lilith.

"So, you’re from Ashen Fang, right? What’s your business here?" Ryutaro asked.

"I was sent here by Azrael-sama," Lilith replied.

"Azrael-sama? The strongest of the ten generals of Ashen Fang and their leader?" Ryutaro asked in disbelief.

"Yes, that’s him. He sent me to seduce Onee-chan, but when I arrived, no one was here," Lilith explained.

"That makes sense. No one’s here because we’ve been away," Ryutaro said.

"So, when you came in and found no one, you entered my place and ate one of my fruits?" Ryutaro asked.

"Yes, I ate it, and after I ate it, I wanted to live with Onee-chan," Lilith confessed.

"Ha? Just because you ate one of my fruits, you want to call me Onee-chan?" Ryutaro said, bewildered.

"Yes, so I can eat those delicious fruits every day," Lilith said eagerly.

Ryutaro sighed, seeing how innocent Lilith seemed.

Just as Ryutaro sighed, Miyuki entered the house with a panicked look on her face.

What happened to Miyuki? Is another battle about to ensue? And does Lilith have hidden motives, or does she just want to eat Ryutaro’s fruits? Stay tuned for the next Chapter!
