Ryutaro’s father and Rin both told their stories about when they first met, but from different perspectives.
"It was when I was tracking the members of Children of Ruin to find out where your mother was captured," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Wait, so who captured Mom?" Ryutaro asked.
"By their leader," replied Ryutaro’s father.
"Ha? Is he that strong that even you couldn’t fight him?" Ryutaro asked.
"It wasn’t about strength. Your mother was captured because I was careless that day," said Ryutaro’s father.
"So, they used a trick to capture Mom?" Ryutaro asked.
"Yes, just as I suspected. You’re just as smart as your mother," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Enough with the praise, Dad. Can you continue the story?" Ryutaro said.
"Alright, after that, I met Rin in the middle of Greynest city," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Greynest? Where is that?" Ryutaro asked.
"Greynest is a hidden city to the east," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Ah, I see," Ryutaro said.
After hearing that, Ryutaro started to guess what Rin’s involvement with his father might have been.
"Hmm, let me guess. He was your enemy back then, right?" Ryutaro said.
"You’re right. He was the strongest member of Children of Ruin, even I had trouble fighting him," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Even you had trouble?" Ryutaro asked.
"Of course. Even though I’m the First Hero, I’m still human," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Ah, I see. Please continue with the story," said Ryutaro.
Ryutaro’s father continued the story.
Meanwhile, Rin began recounting her side of the story.
"I was once a high-ranking member of Children of Ruin," said Rin.
"A high-ranking member? So, you were really strong?" Aurelia asked.
"You could say that," Rin said.
"Ah, I see. Please continue with your story," Aurelia said.
"Alright, one day I was reading a book when I suddenly received orders from the leader of the sect to fight someone in Greynest," said Rin.
"Someone? Could it be...?" Grace said.
"Yes, you’re right. The person was Kevin," Rin replied.
"Oh, I see. Please continue," Grace said.
As Rin continued her story, Ryutaro was still listening to his father’s side.
"After I met Rin in Greynest, I spoke to him," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Spoke? Could it be...?" Ryutaro said.
"Yes, of course, I asked him where your mother was," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Did he tell you where Mom was?" Ryutaro asked.
Ryutaro’s father answered the question.
Meanwhile, Rin continued her story.
"When I met Kevin, he suddenly asked where his wife was," said Rin.
"Ha? Why would the First Hero ask you that?" Miyuki asked.
"At first, I didn’t know, because I wasn’t told by the sect leader. But after Kevin told me that his wife was captured by the sect leader..." said Rin.
"So, what did you say?" Alice asked.
"I just said I didn’t know, but he believed me, and he immediately fought me," Rin replied.
While Rin was telling this, Ryutaro, still lost in thought, asked his father what Rin’s answer was.
"So, what was his answer?" Ryutaro asked.
"He said he didn’t know, but I didn’t believe him," said Ryutaro’s father.
"And then you attacked him?" Ryutaro asked.
"Of course, I attacked him. Who would believe the words of an enemy?" said Ryutaro’s father.
"Come on, Dad, you should’ve listened to him. You’re strong, so why be so impulsive?" Ryutaro said.
"Sorry, I was a bit off that day because I was focused on finding your mother," said Ryutaro’s father.
"(Sighs) Alright, then, continue the story," said Ryutaro.
"Alright, after I attacked him, he suddenly blocked my attack easily," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Ha? Easily? How strong is he to block your attack?" Ryutaro asked.
"Well, compared to the people I usually fight, he was stronger, but I hadn’t gone all out," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Oh, I see," said Ryutaro.
"Of course, don’t you remember who I am?" said Ryutaro’s father.

"Eh, never mind. Please continue," said Ryutaro.
"Alright, I’ll continue," said Ryutaro’s father.

"Yes, he did. I didn’t even have a chance to speak. It’s understandable, though, who wouldn’t be angry if someone they cared about was captured?" Rin said.
"True, if Ryutaro was captured, I’d probably react the same way," Aurelia said.
"So, what happened next?" Miyuki asked.
"After Kevin attacked me, I blocked his attack easily," Rin said.
"Ha? You blocked the First Hero’s attack?" Alice asked.
"Yes, I blocked it, but I knew it was only a small part of his strength," Rin replied.
"And what happened after that?" Alice asked.
"After the fight, we stopped, and he was able to calm down," Rin said.
"Oh, I see," said Grace.
Meanwhile, on Ryutaro’s side:
"So, you two stopped fighting then?" Ryutaro asked.
"Yes, we stopped, and I finally heard what he had to say," said Ryutaro’s father.
"And then what happened?" Ryutaro asked.
"After that, I told him how your mother was captured," said Ryutaro’s father.
"And what was his reaction?" Ryutaro asked.
"He was shocked because he just heard about it," said Ryutaro’s father.
Back to Grace and the others:
"Ha, you were shocked?" Grace asked.
"Of course, I was shocked. At first, I didn’t know why Kevin’s wife was captured. I was just ordered by the sect leader to fight Kevin," Rin said.
"Oh, I see. So after you talked, what did you do?" Aurelia asked.
"After that, we decided to work together to find where his wife was being held," Rin said.
Back to Ryutaro’s side:
"Ha, work together?" Ryutaro asked.
"Yes, of course, we worked together. There was no way I could find your mother’s location alone. I needed someone who could go in and out of the sect freely," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Oh, I see. And what happened next?" Ryutaro asked.
"After we teamed up, he returned to his base," said Ryutaro’s father.
Back to Grace:
"So, after you returned to your base, what did you do?" Grace asked.
"I immediately searched for documents that might show where his wife was being held," said Rin.
"And did you find it?" Aurelia asked.
"Yes, I found it. And the location was..." said Rin.
Back to Ryutaro:
"At Nocthollow Village?" Ryutaro asked.
"Yes, that’s where it was," said Ryutaro’s father.
"And after you found out where Mom was, what happened?" Ryutaro asked.
"After I found the location, I went there immediately, but I couldn’t get in," said Ryutaro’s father.
"Why?" Ryutaro asked.
"Because there was a very strong seal. That’s why I couldn’t get in," said Ryutaro’s father.
"A seal? What kind of seal could stop someone as strong as you?" Ryutaro asked.
"I don’t know. I’ve tried thousands of ways to break it, but nothing worked," said Ryutaro’s father.

Back to Grace:
"But that still doesn’t explain how you betrayed Children of Ruin," Grace said.
"Of course, I haven’t told you how I betrayed Children of Ruin," Rin said.
"So, how did you betray the sect?" Alice asked.
"Because I was caught helping Kevin. That’s why they hunted me. Fortunately, he saved me in time, and since that day, I’ve followed him. Even after he died, I swore to protect his child if one day his child came into this world," Rin said.
"Oh, I see," said Grace.
Not long after that, Ryutaro realized something after hearing everything his father said to him.
"Welcome back, Ryutaro. So, do you think he can be trusted?" Aurelia asked.
"Yeah, I think he can be trusted. After all, my father saved him, didn’t he?" Ryutaro said.
"You’re right. Alright, from now on, we’ll trust you, but don’t do anything reckless," said Grace.
"Alright, alright, it’s all good," Rin said.
They all laughed, and finally, they arrived at their home in the Black Forest. When they arrived, Ryutaro was shocked.
