Chapter 26: Chapter 26: The Duel and the Truth Unveiled

"And my answer is..." Ryutaro said.

Before Ryutaro could continue his words, he was suddenly approached by Shohei, who had an angry expression.

"RYUTARO!!! HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO KEEP INSULTING ME LIKE THIS?" Shohei shouted.

"What do you mean?" Ryutaro replied.

"DON’T PRETEND YOU DON’T KNOW! LAST NIGHT, YOU REFUSED MY DUEL, AND NOW YOU’RE STEALING MIYUKI FROM ME!" Shohei yelled.

"Ha? Stealing Miyuki from you? Have you two been dating?" Ryutaro asked.

"BECAUSE EVERY TIME I WANT TO BE CLOSE TO MIYUKI, I’M ALWAYS IGNORED, AND EVERY TIME I CONFESS, SHE REJECTS ME. IT’S BETTER IF YOU JUST DISAPPEAR FOREVER, YOU LOSER!" Shohei screamed.

Hearing Shohei’s words, Grace, who was beside Ryutaro, got angry. But before she could express her anger, Miyuki slapped Shohei’s cheek.

"What are you doing, Miyuki? Why did you slap me?" Shohei asked.

"Stop your nonsense, Shohei. I’ve never liked you. Even when he disappeared, it didn’t change my feelings for him," Miyuki said while slapping Shohei.

Grace, who was previously angry, felt relieved after seeing Miyuki’s actions.

"Whistles Nice one, Miyuki," Grace said.

After being slapped by Miyuki, Shohei’s expression changed.

"So, you’ve chosen him over me, haven’t you, Miyuki?" Shohei asked.

"Yes, I choose him," Miyuki replied.

"Alright, then I’ll let you know about your behavior when he was gone," Shohei said.

Suddenly, Miyuki’s face, which had been angry at Shohei, changed to one of panic.

"Hey, Ryutaro, you like her, right? I’ll tell you something about her when you disappeared," Shohei said.

"Stop it," Miyuki said.

"Actually, the woman you think is good once went to a hotel with a man," Shohei revealed.

The schoolmates who were still present in the area immediately began to stir up the situation.

"Look at that, Miyuki, who was a role model at school, doing something disgraceful."

"Yeah, I thought she was good, but turns out she does things like that."

"Looks like Ryutaro’s crush is just a mistress."

"Hahahaha, are you upset, Ryutaro? This is what the woman you like did when you disappeared," Shohei said.

"That’s not true, I only..." Miyuki started to explain.

Before Miyuki could continue, Ryutaro immediately became angry at Shohei.

"Take back your words, Shohei, or you’ll regret it," Ryutaro warned.

"Regret? Hahaha, don’t joke. You think you’re brave enough to do anything to me?" Shohei mocked.

"I know you’re just a scumbag who wants everything by force, but now I see you’re just a lowly rat who dares to insult others," Ryutaro said.

"Insult? You think I’m joking? I’m just stating facts," Shohei retorted.

Ryutaro smiled faintly, knowing Shohei didn’t realize that he had a system that could read people’s thoughts.

"Facts, huh? You think I’m stupid? Fine, since you wanted a duel last night, let’s duel today," Ryutaro said.

"Ryutaro dares to accept Shohei’s duel?"

"Isn’t he being too brave?"

"Isn’t Shohei the strongest here?"

Hearing these comments, Shohei laughed arrogantly, pleased that Ryutaro accepted his challenge.

"Hahahaha, this is what I wanted," Shohei said.

They both moved to the duel arena in the center of the training room.

"Alright, let’s duel here until one of us can’t stand anymore," Shohei declared.

"Fine, if that’s what you want," Ryutaro agreed.

Miyuki, who was near Grace, was confused as to why Ryutaro didn’t seem angry with her after what Shohei had said about her. She turned to Grace and asked.

"Grace, I want to ask, why isn’t he angry with me about what Shohei said about me?" Miyuki inquired.

Grace, who was next to Miyuki, answered her question. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

"Actually, right before Shohei said those things, Ryutaro immediately activated one of his system’s features," Grace explained.

"Feature? What feature?" Miyuki asked.

"He used the lie detector to see if Shohei was lying, then he used the mind reader to read his thoughts," Grace said.

Hearing Grace’s explanation, Miyuki became curious about what Shohei had been thinking.

"So, what was on his mind?" Miyuki asked.

"Ryutaro said that the man was one of his subordinates, and he told him to bring you to the hotel with him," Grace revealed.

"So, it was all Shohei’s plan?" Miyuki said.

"Yes, it was all part of his plan to make Ryutaro angry at you, and then he would come to save you like a hero," Grace explained.

Miyuki then understood why Ryutaro wasn’t angry with her.

After taking a deep breath to calm her anger, Miyuki asked Grace why Ryutaro’s system had such features while hers didn’t.

"By the way, why does Ryutaro’s system have those features? I don’t have anything like that," Miyuki asked.

"Don’t ask me, I’m just a creature in this world, so I don’t have a system. As for Ryutaro’s system, he never told me about it," Grace replied.

"So, he didn’t tell you?" Miyuki asked.

"Yeah, he didn’t tell me about his system. If you want to know, wait until he finishes his duel," Grace said.

"Okay, then," Miyuki said.

They both stopped talking for a moment while watching the duel between Ryutaro and Shohei.

Meanwhile, in the duel arena, Shohei was preparing to unleash his technique.

"Wind Cutter!" Shohei shouted.

"Then take this, loser," Shohei added.

But Ryutaro merely yawned, as Shohei’s magic was weak.

"Yawns Hah, you think a weak move like that can defeat me?" Ryutaro said.

Ryutaro quickly nullified Shohei’s attack with one hand.

"What? That’s impossible!"

"How could he do that?"

"And he did it with just one hand!"

"Is this the power of the so-called strongest?" Ryutaro said.

"Hahaha, if I used my strongest move, it wouldn’t be fun, right?" Shohei taunted.

"Oh, interesting. So you still have your strongest move," Ryutaro said.

Grace, who was outside the arena, laughed at Shohei’s panicked expression.

"Hahaha, he’s saying that, but his face looks panicked," Grace laughed.

"Don’t say that, Shohei is strong, and he hasn’t used all his moves yet. I’m worried about Ryutaro," Miyuki said.

"Don’t worry, even if he’s only using one percent of his power," Grace reassured.

"He’s only using one percent of his power?" Miyuki asked.

"Yes, just watch and see how the battle goes," Grace replied.

Meanwhile, in the duel arena, Shohei said, "Alright, if you’re forcing me, I’ll use my strongest move."

"Eternal Annihilation!"

After saying that, dark light surrounded Ryutaro.

"Crazy, isn’t that Shohei’s strongest move?"

"Isn’t that the move that can erase existence?"

"Ryutaro’s finished, once he gets hit by that, he’ll disappear!"

"Now, die!" Shohei said with confidence.

Miyuki, who was by the side of the arena, shouted in worry, "Ryutaro!!!"

But Grace, standing next to her, calmly responded.

"Don’t worry, he’ll be fine," Grace said.

"What do you mean?" Miyuki asked.

"Just look at the center of the arena," Grace replied.

"What?" Miyuki asked.

Amidst the black light, Ryutaro appeared to be relaxed, as if nothing had happened to him.

"Yawns Hah, just ordinary black light, and you’re calling that an existence-erasing move?" Ryutaro said.

"Impossible, how did you survive that move? You should be dead by now!" Shohei said, shocked.

"That’s because you’re weak. I’ve fought against moves stronger than that," Ryutaro said.

Ryutaro then unleashed his own counterattack.

"Then take this!" Ryutaro said.

"Light Lance!"

Suddenly, a spear of light appeared in Ryutaro’s hand, causing panic in the training room.

"What move is that?"

"Why is it so bright?"

"How strong is Ryutaro, really?"

"Then take this for insulting Miyuki!" Ryutaro said.

Ryutaro threw the light lance toward Shohei, but when he threw it, Shohei suddenly surrendered.

"I surrender!" Shohei shouted.

However, Ryutaro still threw it, but the lance stopped just beside Shohei.

"Good, you surrendered. Now, don’t bother Miyuki, or I’ll make you suffer," Ryutaro warned. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

Ryutaro left the arena, leaving Shohei kneeling.

"Alright, let’s go," Ryutaro said.

"Okay, let’s go, come on Miyuki," Grace said.

"Can I come along?" Miyuki asked.

"Of course, you want to know his answer, right?" Grace said.

"You’re right. He hasn’t given me an answer yet. Okay, if you allow it," Miyuki said.

The three of them left the training room while Shohei, still furious, suddenly heard a sound.

What did Shohei hear? Will this sound affect Ryutaro’s life? Stay tuned for Chapter 27.
