[Decomposed Mutated Human +1...]

After the corpses of the Headhunter Race were sent to the Undead Main Tower, they were immediately decomposed by the system and converted into resources stored in the Warehouse.

Li Ziyu stood on the roof with Liu Xingxing and Zhang Peng, gazing into the distance. He suddenly turned to Liu Xingxing and said, "Xingxing, those two Catmen of yours aren’t enough. You need more."

"Boss, I want to, but I’m short on resources." Liu Xingxing put on a pained expression, but inside he was cheering. ’If the boss is saying this, he’s definitely going to give me some resources. He knows my situation better than anyone.’

"I’ll give you 1,000 units of meat. Go ahead and create some more Catmen." Just as Liu Xingxing had thought, Li Ziyu did indeed plan to give him a batch of resources.

The Undead in the mountains didn’t just mine ore and chop wood. When they didn’t run into Wild Beasts, they would clean up other things along the way. It might not seem like much, but the sheer number of Undead made it add up. As a result, Li Ziyu had a surplus of meat in his food reserves.

Even before coming to the Wraith Mountain Range, he had planned on letting Liu Xingxing develop his forces. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have chosen this place to begin with. Now that he had a surplus of food, he decided to give it to Liu Xingxing first.

1,000 units of food?

Liu Xingxing’s eyes lit up. ’That’s enough for 200 Catmen! With them, my most pressing problem will be solved. I can even start thinking about hunting, slowly snowballing my forces, and really start to grow.’

"Thanks, Boss!" Liu Xingxing cheered, giving Zhang Peng a wink.

Zhang Peng remained silent, lost in thought.

Li Ziyu nodded, transferred the food from the Warehouse, and traded it to him. Upon receiving the food, Liu Xingxing immediately began summoning new Catmen.

"What should I call you from now on... Boss?" Zhang Peng asked, looking at Li Ziyu.

"Call me whatever you like. It’s just a name, after all." Li Ziyu shrugged, genuinely not caring what they called him.

"In that case, I’ll call you Boss as well. Boss, I’ll be in your care from now on." Zhang Peng bowed formally to Li Ziyu.

Li Ziyu quickly helped Zhang Peng up and broke into a grin. "No need for all that formality. We’re all just trying to get by here. If you want to keep doing business, then go for it. I’ll support you in growing it."

He meant it.

’Any power that wants to develop and grow needs a huge amount of resources, and doing business is the fastest way to get them.’

’Zhang Peng had experience as a merchant in the Otherworld and had his own connections. Li Ziyu had no intention of letting that go to waste. He even planned on helping him expand his business to gather more resources.’

’Besides resources, information was just as important. Merchants obtained information faster than anyone else. After all, to succeed in business, you have to see what others don’t, hear what others don’t, and constantly be thinking.’

’The Dark Jungle Law meant that a lot of key information was hidden in the world chat and forum posts. No one was a fool; people wouldn’t just casually reveal what they knew. The world chat and forums seemed lively every day, but in reality, eighty percent of the conversations were meaningless. People were just killing time and having fun.’

"Thank you, Boss." Zhang Peng didn’t really take Li Ziyu’s words to heart, but he expressed his thanks anyway.

He understood perfectly well that you judge a person by their actions, not their words. ’Anyone can say nice things; anyone can paint a pretty picture. Believing it makes you a fool. The kind of person Li Ziyu truly is won’t be revealed by his words, but by his actions.’

After giving a few instructions, Li Ziyu left and returned to the main tower. He had other things to attend to, namely, the spoils from that night.

The Skeleton Undead had already delivered all the corpses to the main tower—564 in total. Each corpse provided 70 units of Soul Energy. That night’s battle had yielded Li Ziyu a direct harvest of nearly 40,000 units of Soul Energy, which was enough for him to create another wave of Skeleton Longbowmen.

Li Ziyu was quite satisfied with the combat effectiveness the Skeleton Longbowmen had displayed in this battle. ’As expected of a unit recommended by the system. Their firepower is much more ferocious than the Skeleton Warriors’.

While watching the battle, he had secretly calculated a few things. ’The Skeleton Longbowmen have an effective range of over 300 meters, and their arrows have extreme penetrating power. It would probably take heavy infantry to block their White Bone Long Arrows.’

’During the battle against the Headhunter Race, a single arrow from a Skeleton Longbowman could often pierce through three or four of them. If the Headhunters were clustered together, one arrow could potentially skewer five or six.’

Knowing how powerful the Longbowmen were, Li Ziyu wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity. He used the Soul Energy harvested from the Headhunter Race to create another 60 Skeleton Longbowmen, bringing their total to 100.

The Power at Li Ziyu’s command was now worlds apart from what it was before. His Skeleton Undead numbered over 40,000, along with 330 Skeleton Warriors, 100 Skeleton Longbowmen, 10 Skeleton Ox Demons, and one crazed Dark Skeleton that he didn’t dare send into battle.

Although he had relatively few specialized Combat Sequence units, the sheer number of his basic Skeleton Undead was enormous. Moreover, Skeletons were still being transported out of the Wraith Mountain Range in a continuous stream. If a major war broke out, he could double and redouble the number of Skeleton Undead in minutes, endlessly churning out troops.

He checked his Skeleton reserves in the Warehouse, which had already reached 110,000. The battle with the Headhunter Race hadn’t delayed the harvesting operations in the Wraith Mountain Range.

’Alright, time to build the Soul Coffin. I have all the resources I need.’

Consuming 100,000 units of Skeletons and 10,000 units of Soul Energy, Li Ziyu chose to create the Soul Coffin. This was the first special item he had ever crafted.
