Hundred Ton King: “Zero is online!”
Midnight Fierce Zero: “Zero, your intel on the Calamity Frogs was spot on, even though we only got hit with them this afternoon!”
Brahman: “Benefactor, thank you for the information. It genuinely saved a lot of our people!”
Rainy Night Blade: “Haha, we’ve been waiting for you!”
Lone Wanderer: “Zero, thank you!”
Electric Shock Kid: “Cheer up, it’s the most supreme, most exalted, most blessed Lord Zero!”
Counting Xu Lang, there were only seven people in the Blood Mist Mutual Aid Society. Ever since that incident with the Mass-Production Little Prince, Rainy Night Blade had been very cautious about recruiting new members.
Electric Shock Kid had only recently joined the radio station, and he was suspected to be from outside the Titan Ruins.
The radio channel left to Rainy Night Blade by the previous Station Director was pretty good, but Rainy Night Blade hadn’t had the resources to invest in it before.
[Electric Shock Kid: Rookie Dorm Owner… Count your sins!]
That was Electric Shock Kid’s bio, but you only had to take that kind of thing with a grain of salt. Rainy Night Blade had once claimed in his own bio that he was a Tenant, but he was actually a Dorm Owner himself.
Electric Shock Kid had slipped up and revealed himself, or else no one would have known he was from outside the Titan Ruins.
Rainy Night Blade: “Electric Shock Kid, you don’t even have the Blood Calamity over there, so why are you cheering so much?”
“Haha, Lord Zero being able to provide reliable intel and even give resources to other buildings deserves praise!” Electric Shock Kid’s voice carried a passionate, excitable tone, like a brash young kid who hadn’t grown up yet.
“Electric Shock Kid, if you guys run into Calamity Frogs on your end, how would you deal with them?” Xu Lang asked.
Electric Shock Kid: “Not a big problem. The people in our dormitory building should all be able to withstand the blood rain.”
Hundred Ton King: “Bullshit! Even an Excellent item can’t fully cleanse the negative BUFFs from the blood rain!”
Electric Shock Kid: “Seriously, seriously! I can’t say exactly how, but I’m being serious!”
Midnight Fierce Zero: “Alright, you two little ones, settle down. Let Zero tell us about this method he has for transferring supplies.”
Xu Lang: “You’re interested?”
Midnight Fierce Zero: “Yeah!”
Xu Lang: “There’s a limited number of slots. Next time, maybe.”
Truth be told, he figured that even if Midnight Fierce Zero agreed at first, once he discovered it involved a Taleblade curse, he would cut off the process immediately.
Rainy Night Blade and Lone Wanderer had already mentioned that when a Tale force invaded, the dormitory building would issue a warning and offer assistance.
…
“For fuck’s sake, Zero, are you messing with me?!” Inside some dormitory room, a woman with an extremely graceful figure and an air of seductive charm suddenly let out a coarse curse in utter exasperation.
A moment later, footsteps sounded outside the door.
“Miss, are you alright?” A low male voice inquired.
“I’m fine. Don’t come near,” the woman replied.
“Yes, ma’am!”
…
Brahman: “Are the slots already full? What a shame…”
Lone Wanderer: “Haha, miss the boat and you’re out of luck. But who knows, maybe these slots will open up again later.”
Hundred Ton King: “Big shots, from the way you’re talking, does that mean you guys can keep trading?”
Neither Lone Wanderer nor Rainy Night Blade chimed in on that.
Xu Lang: “That’s right.”
Hundred Ton King: “Holy shit!!! Is there a time limit, or a limit on the type of goods?”
Xu Lang: “Hard to say about that.”
Hundred Ton King: “Alright, anyway, you’re the fucking man!”
Midnight Fierce Zero was feeling even more pissed off.
The trade between the three of them, Xu Lang, didn’t seem to be a one-time deal. There was actually plenty of room to maneuver!
Fuck!
The more he thought about it, the more he felt he’d lost out.
Midnight Fierce Zero: “When’s the next slot opening? Save one for me!”
Xu Lang: “Alright.”
With the Blood Calamity in full swing, everyone was pressed for time.
In the end, it was Rainy Night Blade who spoke up, asking the question everyone wanted to ask.
Rainy Night Blade: “Zero, got any other intel for us?”
Xu Lang: “Not sure. You’d better all stay on the radio and keep someone by the receiver.”
Rainy Night Blade: “Got it!”
“Let’s do another trade in a bit. Bring your facilities along,” Xu Lang stated the purpose for coming online.
Midnight Fierce Zero: “Holy shit, no way! You can trade facilities, too? Facilities are strictly forbidden from being moved between buildings!”
Xu Lang: “Hard to say. It’s always worth a try.”
Lone Wanderer: “Haha, alright, alright! I’ll bring a Level Twenty Turret right away and make sure you pay through the nose, Zero!”
Xu Lang: “Level Twenty? Isn’t that way too low-level? At least bring a Level Twenty-five Turret.”
Lone Wanderer: “Zero, you want to swallow an elephant in one bite, huh? Better be careful the dorm building doesn’t detect it.”
Xu Lang: “No, no. Level Twenty Turrets are for my underlings to use. I genuinely can’t make use of them. Besides, our building’s monitoring isn’t that strict. It’s pretty lenient.”
Lone Wanderer: “…”
If he remembered correctly, the Mad King Building was just a Zero-Tier Dormitory Building, right?
A Level Ten Turret would already be top-tier!
And here this guy was, telling him his underlings used Level Twenty Turrets and asking him to bring Level Twenty-five!
Was he kidding?
Lone Wanderer: “Alright… There are still a few high-level turrets being sold on the Trading Network. I’ll buy one for you.”
Xu Lang: “Thanks. I’m logging off for now.”
…
As soon as Xu Lang left, the members of the Blood Mist Mutual Aid Society immediately erupted into a frenzy of discussion, hurling questions at Rainy Night Blade and Lone Wanderer like arrows.
But the two were sly old foxes and didn’t breathe a word of what shouldn’t be said.
Lone Wanderer was even somewhat reluctant to let Xu Lang expand the circle, as he felt it would increase the risk.
The trade among the three buildings already provided a pretty high level of material abundance.
More than ten minutes later.
Demon Box World.
Lone Wanderer had brought two Level Twenty-five Rare Turrets and one Level Thirty Common Turret, showing good faith.
Rainy Night Blade had brought one Level Twenty-five Uncommon Turret.
The Sealing Building was close to advancing to Tier Three, so it was normal for it to have a few Level Thirty Turrets.
It was Rainy Night Blade who caught Xu Lang’s attention a bit more, since the Starving Corpse Building was only a Tier One dormitory building.
“Zero, what are you planning to trade with us for these?” Lone Wanderer asked with a cheerful smile, sitting on the sofa.
The four turrets were placed in front of them, exquisite and magnificent.
“Why, the specialty product of the Mad King Building, of course.” Xu Lang stroked his chin.
“Specialty?” Lone Wanderer was a bit puzzled.
Mary stepped forward and took out ten cards. “These are Transformation Cards. They can fully boost a player’s base attributes and grant them special abilities.”
Lone Wanderer stared for a moment, then couldn’t resist picking up a card. He clicked his tongue in amazement. “They’re mass-produced Level Twenty items!”
The Sealing Building occasionally had Level Thirty items, but those were always brought in by other High-Level Players. The building’s native products never exceeded its own tier.
The Mad King Building, however, was clearly an exception.
Every building had its own ecosystem, and the Mad King Building was definitely the more unruly type. These kinds of buildings had extremely high potential, but they were also incredibly dangerous.
“Are all these for me?” Rainy Night Blade’s eyes flickered with interest. “Too bad they’re one-time-use items. It would’ve been great if they could be reused.”
“One card can save your life. They’ll boost your combat power significantly.” Xu Lang gave a faint smile.
The Mad King Building was indeed wealthy, but he wasn’t about to let Rainy Night Blade arbitrarily inflate the price.
Since Mary had brought out ten cards, that meant these four turrets were only worth that much.
