After returning to Demon King Castle, Xu Lang told everyone what happened after they left.

“So you’re saying that by losing our Mad King Building player status, our SAN value will really keep dropping forever?” Wang Yazhi’s expression was extremely grave.

Compared to the benefits Demon King Castle had gained, she was more concerned about this hidden worry.

“Mad King Building probably isn’t lying.” Xu Lang nodded.

Never underestimate the power of a dormitory building.

If he had actually left back then, causing Mad King Building to collapse, then all former Mad King Building players would be hit with a curse from Mad King Building!

The women’s expressions all turned serious as well.

“We don’t have SAN values.” Right then, Firepower Girl spoke up.

“Must be nice, huh.” Senior Sister Red Butterfly sneered, looking at Firepower Girl and the Firepower Squad she led with a snide tone. “Why don’t you go upstairs and stand guard? You’re not exactly doing your job!”

“Red Butterfly, don’t say that. Firepower Girl and the January crew are still part of Demon King Castle, after all.” Gu Ya frowned.

The twelve ordinary members of the Firepower Squad had been named January, February through December.

“Hmph!” Senior Sister Red Butterfly snorted disdainfully.

Firepower Girl looked at Xu Lang, waiting for instructions.

Xu Lang smiled. “You really do need to go guard the second floor. Make sure to use drones to monitor the Safe Zone. If you spot any Calamity Frogs, kill them immediately.”

“As you command!” Firepower Girl accepted the order and left.

During last night’s Simulation, Calamity Frogs had entered the Safe Zone a second time, causing chaos.

“Lang Ge, should we deploy some facilities?” Tong Qi spoke up. “Huihui just came to ask me if she could bulk-purchase a batch of facilities.”

Xu Lang thought for a moment, then nodded. “Alright!”

The building-destruction plan had caused heavy losses for the players.

Although Mad King Building wasn’t short on low-to-mid-tier resources, Xu Lang had to use a hundred facilities every night to smelt Nightmare Essence, and that came at a high cost too.

“I’ll adjust the product prices right now.” Mary opened the Trading Network.

Bionic robots were recognized by the dormitory building as lower-level subordinate units, and they could use the dormitory building’s system abilities.

“Hehe, I think from now on, if Mad King Building players run out of money, they can borrow from us.” Cao Yaxuan suddenly let out a sly chuckle.

Xu Lang was speechless. “Who could be more wicked than you?”

Cao Yaxuan huffed. “Whatever, I’ll just keep the interest rates low. Then everyone will owe Demon King Castle a debt of gratitude they can never repay!”

“Totally unnecessary. That way we’d be afraid of them dying, and we’d have to protect them instead.” Xu Lang shook his head repeatedly.

The women heard this and all felt it made sense.

The greatest pain in life was having your debtor die.

“Lang Ge, why does this Golden Time Rewind Clock have three time zones?” Xu Xiaomeng stood beneath the Golden Time Rewind Clock and asked.

Chi Qingman stood beside her, and when she saw everyone turn to look, she couldn’t help shrinking her neck.

“This should be… a perpetual calendar… the moon phase… and the time of day.” Sherry was also drawn in by the three major time zones on the Golden Time Rewind Clock, stepping forward with a curious expression.

The Golden Time Rewind Clock was very special. Its gilded surface had three time zones: a large time zone encasing a medium time zone, the medium time zone encasing a small time zone, and the outermost ring had suns, moons, and stars.

Everyone stepped forward. Sherry pondered for a moment, then said:

“A perpetual calendar is also called a permanent calendar.”

“This outermost and largest time wheel has only one hand. The number the hand points to should represent 93,333 years.”

“This middle time wheel has two hands. The small hand’s number indicates this number, which should refer to June, while the large hand’s position should be the 23rd.”

“This smallest time wheel has three hands, and it’s the clock we’re most familiar with.”

The Golden Time Rewind Clock didn’t use Arabic numerals. Sherry’s guess was entirely deduced through reasoning.

Of course, that also required her to have sufficient knowledge.

Wang Yazhi asked, “How can you be sure the outermost time wheel represents ‘year’?”

Sherry shook her head and replied, “I can’t prove it. It’s only logical speculation.”

“Look at this largest time zone. It only goes up to a hundred thousand years. Does that mean a hundred thousand years is a specific cycle?” Miaoying’s cat ears twitched as she asked.

“That’s very possible.” Han Zhixiu nodded repeatedly, rubbing her chin in speculation. “Maybe this clock is showing the real time in the Blood Mist World.”

The women heard this and looked at each other, all feeling it was very likely.

Finally, they all turned their eyes to Xu Lang.

“Xu Lang, as the Dorm Owner, can you check the info on this Golden Time Rewind Clock? I have a feeling it’s not ordinary.” Sherry asked.

“The info I’m getting is pretty much the same as yours.” Xu Lang shook his head.

He had been looking at the Golden Time Rewind Clock with his Nightmare Eye for a while, but the information he got was very sparse.

Either the Golden Time Rewind Clock itself didn’t contain relevant information, or its level was simply too high.

“Let’s not worry about it for now.” Xu Lang switched to a smile. “Anyway, we’re staying in the dormitory building, not going out to explore the world. Knowing what time it is wouldn’t mean a damn thing.”

Looking too far ahead would only make you neglect the present.

“True, but I think Zhixiu’s guess is pretty spot on.” Cao Yaxuan nodded repeatedly. “If we go by that, we’re in Blood Mist Calendar, Year 93,333, Month 6, Day 23.”

“Exactly!” Sherry snapped her fingers.

“So what does this number mean?” Chi Qingman spoke up weakly, pointing at a special symbol at the very top of the Golden Time Rewind Clock.

Sherry’s eyes moved. “Qingman, why do you think it’s a number?”

The Golden Time Rewind Clock had many symbols, and none of them recognized any of them. Even though Sherry hugged the Book of Wisdom every day, she had never seen them before either.

“Just a feeling.” Chi Qingman replied.

“Alright.” Sherry shrugged.

Then, she took out a pen and paper and recorded all the runic symbols on the Golden Time Rewind Clock.

Time passed quietly, and it reached six in the evening.

Normally, something special would happen around this time.

Yet today, there was nothing.

It seemed the only disaster for today was the Calamity Frogs.

It was worth noting that some Blood Mist creatures had charged into the Safe Zone. They didn’t attack Mad King Building but instead settled down in the Safe Zone.

After the Calamity Frogs were wiped out, the buildings inside the Safe Zone began to recover, and now they were all fully restored.

Those fleeing Blood Mist creatures hid inside them to take shelter from the rain.

At first, they were full of aggression toward Mad King Building, but after a few waves of their companions died, they quieted down.

Blood Mist creatures had a tremendous killing intent toward players. For them to hold back meant they were not simple creatures—they were considered higher-tier Blood Mist creatures.

Time flew by quickly. In the evening, after everyone finished dinner, they sat in the main hall.

The radio was on.

The Blood Mist Mutual Aid Society was in full attendance.

These members had all heard about Xu Lang funding Lone Wanderer and Rainy Night Blade.

Midnight Fierce Zero and the others had known about the transaction between the three from the start; they just didn’t know that the three had already met face-to-face.

Cross-building meetups—this ability was truly heaven-defying.

Even if players had such an ability, they would only use it to trick others. Almost no one used it to do good deeds.

Mad King Building had too many resources, so it could export them. But other dormitory buildings were starving to the bone. If they ever discovered a bridge to another dormitory building, it would be like Columbus discovering a new sea route to the New World.

A dark jungle, where everyone was on edge.
