Chapter 526: Chapter 526: Mika Summers VS Tristan Grayson (26)
Mika Summers curled her lip into a cold smile. "Hah. Fine. It’ll be quieter at home anyway. Let’s go."
When Tristan Grayson heard Mika Summers agree to go home, he finally let out a sigh of relief...
Watching Tristan and Mika Summers get up to leave with their two children, Aria Joyce’s expression turned ugly, but she had no idea what to say at that moment.
Caleb Grayson pulled his gaze away from the wine jar and looked at Tristan Grayson and his wife. "Not staying for dinner? It’s almost ready."
"No, we can’t. We didn’t get much rest at the hospital these past two days. We want to go home early to rest." As he spoke, Tristan Grayson wrapped an arm around Mika Summers’s waist.
Caleb Grayson didn’t press them to stay. "Alright, then. Go home and get some rest."
"Mm."
Seeing that even Grayson had agreed to let Tristan and his family leave, Aria Joyce clenched her fists. She had to struggle for a long moment to suppress the indignation and sense of injustice welling up inside her.
’It’s fine. My original purpose for coming here was just to visit Mr. and Mrs. Grayson anyway.’
After leaving the Grayson residence, Mika Summers got into the back seat with Kiki and Rory.
She didn’t say a word to Tristan Grayson the entire ride. It wasn’t that she was mad at Tristan; she just felt that Aria Joyce was like a ghost you couldn’t shake.
’To think I finally get out of the hospital and come home, only to see her.’
When Tristan Grayson noticed Mika Summers wasn’t speaking and then caught sight of her unhappy face in the mirror, he felt even more aggrieved and helpless.
’I can’t just hire someone to tie Aria Joyce up and keep her from showing up in front of us...’
Aria Joyce stayed for dinner at the Grayson residence before leaving.
Mae Lynch looked at Tiana sitting on the sofa, her brow furrowed. With a note of displeasure, she asked coldly, "Tiana, what exactly is going on between you and that young master of the Joyce Family?" Just thinking about how Aria Joyce kept deliberately mentioning they would be family in the future made Mae Lynch’s blood boil. And as for the matriarch of the Joyce Family, while Mae hadn’t met her many times, she had certainly heard plenty of rumors.
"It’s nothing," Tiana replied flatly, looking up at Mae Lynch.
"Nothing? If it’s nothing, then why would Miss Joyce come to our home? Tiana, be honest with me. Are you really dating that young master from the Joyce Family or not?"
Tiana’s voice choked with sobs as she started to cry. "We were... but I don’t think we will be anymore. Mom, please don’t ask about this again." She and Leo had already made everything clear today. She wouldn’t be seeing Leo Joyce again.
’She had truly lost all hope...’
"Tiana, your brother doesn’t want you to have anything to do with the Joyce family’s young master. And I’m making my stance clear today, too: I don’t like the Joyce family either. Besides, your families are not a good match. Don’t even think about marriage."
"I know. From now on, I won’t see Leo Joyce anymore."
Seeing Tiana crying so heartbrokenly, Caleb Grayson couldn’t bear to watch anymore and pulled Mae Lynch aside. "Alright, that’s enough. Stop it. Can’t you see she came home today because she’s hurting?"
"Of course I can see it! Aria Joyce’s mother is so arrogant her nose is in the air. If our Tiana really married into that family, do you think she could ever have a good life?"
"But didn’t Tiana just say it? She won’t be seeing Leo anymore."
"She’d better not see him again. Tiana, you’ve always been such a good daughter, the one who worries me the least. When it comes to marriage, what Mom says goes. You’re not allowed to just go out and find someone on your own."
