Chapter 527: Chapter 527: Mika Summers VS Tristan Grayson (27)

Tiana raised a hand to wipe her tears. "I understand..."

"Alright, stop crying. Go to your room and rest."

Tiana nodded and hurried upstairs.

Once Tiana was upstairs and out of sight, Mae Lynch sat down beside Caleb Grayson and sighed. "What on earth did the Grayson family do in a past life? Just when our son has finally given us old folks some peace of mind, now our daughter is becoming a handful."

She knew she was getting older and shouldn’t meddle in her children’s love lives, but she could see Aria Joyce’s ill intentions as clear as day.

That was why she wanted to put an end to Tiana’s fantasies. It wasn’t just because she disliked the Joyce family or Mrs. Joyce...

It was also because she didn’t like Aria Joyce.

She couldn’t allow her son and daughter-in-law’s newly mended relationship to run into trouble again all because of Aria Joyce.

Besides, with Tiana’s tendency to get pushed around, could she really have a good life if she married into the Joyce family?

Obviously not...

Back in her room, Tiana flopped onto her bed and began to sob her heart out.

She hadn’t dared to cry at the Joyce residence, forcing herself to hold it in. She still didn’t dare cry on the way back, holding it in the entire time.

Even when she walked through the door and saw her family, she didn’t dare to cry.

But now that she was all alone, she could no longer hold back and finally let herself cry out loud.

Meanwhile, at the Joyce residence, Leo hadn’t left the living room since Aria had gone to take Tiana home.

He was waiting for Aria to come back, and he ended up waiting for nearly three hours.

He watched his parents go upstairs to bed, but he remained in the living room, waiting.

It was almost ten o’clock at night when Aria returned.

When Aria saw Leo sitting on the sofa, she frowned and asked in a low voice, "What’s this? You’re not in bed yet?"

"Couldn’t sleep! Just came out for some air!" Leo said, crossing his arms and telling a blatant lie.

"Heh. ’Couldn’t sleep,’ or just pretending you couldn’t? Because it sure looks like you were waiting for me." Aria was incredibly perceptive. The moment she’d walked in and seen Leo deliberately cross his arms and sit up straighter, she’d guessed that he was worried about Tiana and had been waiting for her all this time.

This bickering young couple... As his older sister, she was both envious of and exasperated by them.

A dark look crossed Leo’s face. He snorted. "Why would I wait for you?" ’It’s not like I’m nice enough to wait around for my sister.’

"Leo, you can’t hide what you’re thinking from me, so don’t even try. Relax. I got Tiana home safely."

Having been seen through so directly by Aria, Leo couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed, but he maintained his usual cold demeanor. "Who cares about that woman! This is ridiculous!"

Looking at her contrary little brother, Aria couldn’t help but laugh. "Oh, right," she teased, "a *certain someone* doesn’t care. It’s just me, your big sister, being nosy. But... Tiana really didn’t seem right."

"Hmph. What could possibly be wrong with her?" ’I’m the one who should be angry here.’

"Leo, women hold grudges. If you really made Tiana angry, you’d better call and apologize right now. If you don’t, you’ll regret it later."

Aria’s words made Leo furious. He shot to his feet, his voice cold. "Heh. As if I, Leo Joyce, couldn’t find another woman after leaving Tiana Grayson!"
