After finding the keys, Aria Joyce looked over and saw that Tiana was already gone. She raised an eyebrow in confusion and asked Leo, "Leo, what happened? Weren’t you two fine when you arrived?"
"Who knows," Leo Joyce snapped irritably. He stood up and gave the coffee table a few more kicks. "Unbelievable!"
’He really regretted this. He was clearly just asking for trouble...’
’If he had known, he wouldn’t have gone to her school to see her today. Now, he wasn’t just mentally exhausted, he was utterly disappointed...’
’They’d been together for so long. Even if Amelia Avery once had a place in his heart, he had never done anything to betray Tiana.’

"Sigh... Girls just need to be coddled sometimes," Aria Joyce said, trying to reason with him. "After the way Mom treated Tiana today, it’s only natural she’d be upset and take it out on you. You’re the man here; you should be more magnanimous. You can’t argue with a girl over every little thing." Setting aside her crush on Tristan Grayson, she was actually a big supporter of Leo and Tiana. She had liked Tiana from the moment they first met, feeling that only such a well-behaved and sensible young lady was worthy of being her brother’s partner.
A sudden headache flared, and Leo Joyce’s irritation grew. He waved a hand impatiently at Aria. "Aren’t you supposed to take her home? Get going already."
At his words, Aria remembered she was going to the Grayson Family’s home. She looked down at her empty hands and said anxiously, "This is my first time visiting their place. It wouldn’t be right to show up empty-handed." ’Come to think of it,’ she mused, ’this is my first time visiting Tiana’s parents.’
Hearing this, Leo Joyce snapped, "You’re just giving her a ride, what’s with all the fuss? If you don’t get out there, what if she gets tired of waiting and leaves on her own?" ’Even though she wasn’t a child, and even though they had just fought, he still couldn’t help but worry about her leaving alone...’
Aria thought about it and realized he had a point. Still, the thought of arriving empty-handed just felt so rude to her.
She scurried to the kitchen, grabbed a bottle of fine wine that Julian Joyce had been cellaring for over a decade, and headed for the door.
Leo Joyce’s heart couldn’t settle, and his eyes followed Aria. When he saw her take out such a valuable bottle of wine, his brows furrowed tightly.
’She’s just giving Tiana a ride home. What is his sister doing?’
Although he was still fuming, his feet seemed to move of their own accord, carrying him to the window to look outside.
When he saw Tiana was still waiting outside, his heart settled considerably...

The Joyce family’s home was quite a distance from the Graysons’, so it took them nearly an hour to arrive.
Tiana assumed Aria Joyce would just drop her off and leave, but to her surprise, Aria also got out of the car, cradling a bottle of fine wine.
