Chapter 514: Chapter 514: Mika Summers VS Tristan Grayson (14)
Luna Lynch looked up furiously. "Miss Summers, you’ve gone too far! Our Aria has put up with you time and time again, so why are you still so aggressive?"
"How am I the one being aggressive, Mrs. Joyce? Don’t you think there’s something wrong with your daughter? She’s constantly running over here for no reason. Now she’s fainted, and if you ask me, she had it coming."
Worried Mika Summers would be at a disadvantage, Tristan Grayson threw off the covers and got out of bed. He pulled Mika behind him, his cold eyes narrowing as he glanced at Aria Joyce. Then, he turned, grabbed his phone from the table, and called Aiden Avery, telling him to bring a doctor over immediately.
Luna Lynch was seething at Mika Summers’ words. Pointing a trembling finger at Mika, she sobbed, "No wonder our Aria fainted! I see it now—she must have fainted from pure rage because of you, you bitch!"
Tristan Grayson had just finished his call. His expression darkened as he looked at Luna Lynch and said in a cold voice, "Mrs. Joyce, please be a little more respectful."
"Tristan Grayson, if it weren’t for the fact that you saved our Aria, do you really think this woman would still be standing here talking to me with that kind of attitude?"
"Heh. Mrs. Joyce, you’re right. I saved your Aria. Therefore, you should also watch your attitude when you speak to my woman." Tristan Grayson squeezed Mika Summers’ hand, worried she might say something else that went too far.
’This wasn’t the time to offend the Joyce Family, but he wouldn’t let them walk all over him and Mika either.’
Just as a furious Luna Lynch was about to say something, Aiden Avery arrived with a team of doctors.
Luna Lynch’s entire focus shifted to her daughter; she was in no mood to argue with Tristan Grayson and Mika anymore.
Aiden Avery looked up at Tristan Grayson and gave a slight nod. He crouched down, lifted a hand to check Aria Joyce’s eyes, then rested his fingers on her wrist for a long moment before finally standing up.
Watching Aiden Avery’s every move, Luna Lynch’s heart leaped into her throat. "How is she? Doctor, is my daughter going to be all right?"
"It’s nothing serious." Aiden Avery held out his hand, and a nurse gave him a syringe. He crouched down again, pulled the sleeve on Aria Joyce’s arm down a bit, and administered the injection. Standing up, he said coldly to the other doctors in the room, "Take Miss Joyce back to her hospital room."
As Luna Lynch watched Aria Joyce being carried away, she shot to her feet and asked anxiously, "What’s really wrong with Aria? Why hasn’t she woken up yet?"
Aiden Avery said with a smirk, "It’s nothing serious. She’ll be fine after she gets some sleep."
"As long as she’s okay." With that, Luna Lynch finally left, relieved.
After Luna Lynch had gone, Aiden Avery turned to Tristan Grayson. "With that shot I just gave Aria Joyce, she won’t be waking up for two or three days. You two should finally get some peace and quiet now."
"Yeah, thanks," Tristan Grayson replied coolly. He sat back down on the bed and pulled Mika Summers into his arms.
Listening to the two of them, Mika Summers felt a little lost. "What’s going on?"
"It’s nothing," Tristan Grayson said, smiling and shaking his head at her. He then looked up at Aiden Avery. "Aiden, you’re not needed here anymore. You can go. Don’t interrupt my wife and me."
Hearing this, Aiden Avery’s lip twitched. Scowling, he said resentfully, "Tristan Grayson, you can’t just burn the bridge after you cross it!" ’He had just solved their problem, and now he was being kicked out? He hadn’t even gotten to say a single word to Mika Summers yet!’
"Ah, well, can’t be helped. My wife doesn’t like all the commotion."
