Chapter 513: Chapter 513: Mika Summers VS Tristan Grayson (13)
"—" Aria Joyce froze. She spun around and glared furiously at Mika Summers.
Mika Summers couldn’t care less about Aria Joyce’s hostility. She reached over, grabbed all the bags of snacks from the bed, and shoved them into Aria’s arms. "Miss Joyce, Tristan made himself perfectly clear. Please take your trash and get out of here, right now!"
"You... you... you’re going too far!" Aria Joyce’s face darkened. It took her a moment before she could choke out the words.
"That’s right, I *am* going too far. Tristan is my husband. I think you should keep your distance, Miss Joyce. Otherwise, people might get the wrong idea about you."
Aria Joyce was trembling with rage, but then a thought seemed to strike her. A cold, mocking smile spread across her face. "The wrong idea? What wrong idea could they possibly get? All I did was bring Tristan a few things. It’s not like we were doing anything sordid. Miss Summers, the only reason you’re so defensive and hostile toward me is because you’re afraid you can’t hold on to Tristan’s heart, isn’t it?"
Hearing Aria Joyce’s words, Tristan Grayson clenched his fists and snapped, "That’s enough, Aria!"
"Tristan, you heard her! This woman started it!" Aria, having been shouted at, immediately whined in a wronged tone.
"She’s right."
"Tristan Grayson, even if she’s your wife, you can’t be this biased! It was clearly *her* who slandered us first!"
Tristan Grayson snapped furiously, "Aria Joyce, if you had just stayed put in your own room, my wife wouldn’t have had any reason to ’slander’ you! And another thing—you’re not welcome here. Get out of my sight. Just looking at you gives me a headache. I have no idea what possessed me to save you in the first place."
Hearing Tristan’s words, Mika Summers felt a surge of satisfaction. "Miss Joyce, did you hear that loud and clear?"
Staring at Mika Summers’s smug expression, Aria Joyce was so furious that her body began to tremble violently. Her vision blurred, and her legs gave out. She collapsed to the floor.
Mika Summers stared, bewildered, at Aria Joyce, who was now lying unconscious on the floor. She turned to Tristan, who looked just as stunned as she felt, and asked hesitantly, "Tristan, what... what’s wrong with her?"
Tristan coughed twice, his voice detached. He lowered his head and started eating his porridge as if he hadn’t seen Aria Joyce at all.
Mika Summers’s head throbbed. ’What is this supposed to be? There’s a person lying on the floor, and Tristan is acting as if it has nothing to do with him.’
"Hey, Aria Joyce, stop faking it. Get up!" she said coldly, crouching down to poke Aria, her voice full of annoyance.
"—" However, Aria Joyce remained motionless on the floor.
Mika Summers’s brow furrowed. "Hey, Aria Joyce, get up already!"
Just then, in the adjacent room, Luna Lynch grew worried when Aria didn’t return after a while. She decided to come out and check on her.
But when she reached the doorway of Tristan’s room, she saw Aria lying on the floor. Luna Lynch rushed over, shoved Mika Summers aside, and shouted, "What are you doing! What did you do to my Aria!"
As she spoke, Luna Lynch cradled the unconscious Aria in her arms and began to sob. "Aria, you have to be okay! Tell Mama who bullied you, and I’ll get revenge for you. No matter who it was, the Joyce Family will not let them get away with it!"
How could Mika Summers miss the implication in Luna Lynch’s words? She stood up straight, looked Luna Lynch in the eye, and said coolly, "Nobody did anything to your daughter. She fainted all on her own."
