Chapter 483: Chapter 483: Saying I Love You From This Moment On (83)

The woman came up to Mika Summers, who slapped her hard across the face. "Lunatic!"

"Ah! Mika Summers, you homewrecker! I’m going to tear you apart!" the woman shrieked, reaching out to grab Mika’s hair.

Mika shoved the woman away, but she just lunged at her again. After this happened a few more times, Mika was starting to feel exhausted.

The woman was relentless, like a leech. Every time Mika pushed her away, she would just lunge forward again. In the end, Mika, who had started with the upper hand, got hit a couple of times herself.

Meanwhile, the crowd of onlookers was just enjoying the show. Not a single person was willing to go get security or step in to help.

Mika was finally pushed to her limit. She gripped the woman’s arm and said in a cold, sharp voice, "Have you had enough? If you make one more move, I’m calling the police!"

"You homewrecker, you dare threaten me? Let me tell you, Mika Summers, your threats don’t scare me."

Just then, the crowd started murmuring amongst themselves, questioning what right a "homewrecker" like Mika had to call the police.

Hearing this made Mika even angrier. She turned and swept a cold glare across the crowd, shouting, "Don’t you have jobs? What are you all doing standing around here!"

Mika’s words were the spark that lit the fuse. The crowd’s discontent with her intensified. What had been whispers moments ago now erupted into loud clamoring.

"What right does a homewrecker have to talk to us like that!"

"That’s right! I knew from the start she wasn’t a decent woman. The way she acts around the office is all fake. This is her true self."

"Poor Mr. Kent, being fooled all this time by a divorced woman like her."

...

Listening to the onlookers, Rowan Ross smiled in triumph.

’If she was going to be miserable, she would damn well make sure Mika Summers was miserable too.’

’She was Rowan Ross. She’d never let anyone get the better of her, and she certainly wasn’t going to start now.’

Just then, the elevator doors opened. Silas Kent walked out, followed by Jessica Archer and four bodyguards in black suits.

The crowd of gawking employees, seeing Mr. Kent’s arrival, immediately fell back in fear, parting to make way.

The moment Mika Summers saw Silas Kent, she forcefully threw off Rowan Ross’s hand.

"Mr. Kent, you’re finally here! Let me tell you, this Mika Summers is bad news. I came here today specifically to expose her in front of you!" Rowan Ross, who had been about to unleash a string of curses after being shoved away, stopped short when she saw the approaching man. Tears instantly welled in her eyes, and she ran toward Silas Kent, the very picture of a wronged victim.

However, before Rowan could get close to Silas Kent, his bodyguards blocked her path.

Seeing this, Rowan Ross grew frantic. "Mr. Kent, you probably don’t know what kind of person Mika Summers really is, do you? She’s divorced! And she has a child! Mr. Kent, you can’t let her looks fool you!"

Silas Kent’s lips curled into a cold smirk as he looked at Rowan Ross. "Hah. What kind of woman she is... is none of your business."

"It’s true, it’s not my business, but... I just don’t want to see you get tricked, Mr. Kent!"

"So, you’re saying you’re looking out for me?"

Sensing an opportunity, Rowan Ross nodded eagerly. "Yes, yes, that’s it exactly, Mr. Kent! I’m doing this for your own good! A man of your standing... not just any woman is worthy of you."
