Chapter 426: Testing Power

He arrived at the part of the river that was about 500 feet away from the edge of the mountain.

However, when he got there he noticed there was already a group of boys swimming around in there.

But, since he smelled so bad, Lyrian didn’t have any choice but to jump straight into the water. freёweɓnovel.com

There was another waterfall that fell down from above, creating a larger pond-like area before it extended into another river going to the edge of the mountain.

As Lyrian swam around in there, all of the impurities in his body quickly washed away.

"Huh? Who the heck is that kid?" Someone suddenly shouted from afar.

"Yeah... I’ve never seen him before." Another young teen yelled, slightly confused.

Lyrian peered at them after splashing his face with water.

’Perfect... let me test out my new strength on these bums.’ He smirked, swimming over toward them.

"Listen, kid, you don’t just barge in and jump into this river when your superiors are swimming in it."

A guy said, trying to sound serious. But his friend laughed, knowing it was a joke.

Still, they didn’t want some random kid in the river with them.

"What are you gonna do if I don’t leave?" Lyrian suddenly exclaimed, popping his head out of the water.

"Huh?"

15 young men, aged 14-17, all stared at Lyrian at that moment with slightly offended faces.

"Come on then, fight me you arrogant pricks!" Lyrian swam over to shore.

Even moving through the water felt like he was flying. It provided next to no resistance to him.

"Fine! If you wanna die then you should have said so before."

People started to swim toward the shore as well.

"We don’t play around, brat. This isn’t the outside realm that you came from. We are ruthless in here, so don’t expect mercy!"

’Outside realm? How did he know I was...’ Lyrian thought to himself, slightly confused.

"How did we know, is what you’re probably thinking right? Hahaha!"

"It’s obvious. From the way you act to the way you look. Your whole body is awkward in the underground atmosphere!"

"My whole body is awkward huh..."

Lyrian waited until all of the boys had exited the river.

He then charged at them all unexpectedly.

It was as if they were moving in slow motion to him. Their faces slowly contorted into shock. Their hands slowly raised to defend themselves.

Their bodies, slowly lean back in fear.

All of it was so clear to Lyrian’s eyes.

Lyrian arrived in front of one of them and punched him right in the stomach.

However, he contained most of his strength.

*BOOM*

The punch was still extremely impactful. It sent ripples across the kid’s stomach before sending him flying into the river.

His body splashed into the water before slowly rising back up to the top, completely unconscious.

Lyrian’s eyes widened slightly. ’Strong... I’m really damn strong! No... these guys aren’t anywhere near enough. I want to fight someone stronger.’

"Oi! Where can I fight some stronger opponents!?" Lyrian faced the disciples, who were confused, and then also a bit offended.

"What!? Are you trying to say we are too weak for you or something!? I’ll teach you who’s weak and who’s not!"

A kid blurted out, running towards Lyrian while enhancing his fist.

Lyrian slapped the boy across the face lightly with an unimpressed expression on his face.

The boy spun over 60 times before falling into the river with a swollen cheek.

"Of course, I’m saying that."

The group of disciples became a bit wary of seeing this.

Truth be told, they no longer wanted to fight Lyrian.

"This looks quite fun." A familiar voice sounded from behind Lyrian and the disciples.

Lyrian turned his head past his shoulder and saw Kyel Mangorn walking up to him.

"How about we make a deal." As Kyel said this, Lyrian turned to face him.

"If you can beat me in a fight, I’ll tell you where you can find far, far stronger opponents."

Lyrian’s head tilted slightly to the right, "Oh? Is that right?"

"Hahaha... yeah... that’s right."

"Fine then!"

As Lyrian said this, a few of the disciples behind him grabbed their shit and ran for the hills.

They weren’t going to risk being anywhere near that monster kid any longer.

Most still stayed around though, wanting to firstly, see the revenge on the kid that beat up two of their friends.

And secondly, to see Kyel fight. It was like the main event of the UFC except in the Servant Sect... you couldn’t skip it!

"Tsk... all these weaklings acting so strong just because they are surrounding my actual ants. It’s starting to get annoying."

Lyrian suddenly had a small epiphany at that moment, "Wait a second... right now as I stand, I’m stronger than the teachers at Anaviotis. At least, stronger than Granweid..."

Before he could finish his thoughts, Kyel got a bit angry that he wasn’t getting paid attention to and decided to run forward and start the battle.

Lyrian moved his low gaze to Kyel, and as soon as he did, a small amount of killing intent burst out from his eyes and enveloped the tall young man.

Kyle accidentally gasped, as his entire body lost all motor function due to fear.

He froze up like a popsicle as his eyes expanded in shock, falling straight onto the ground.

Astonished noises of awe and surprise immediately sounded from the crowd behind Lyrian as he dashed forward and stood above Kyel.

Clenching his fist, he aimed it at Kyel’s face.

"W-wait! Please! I give up!" The young man screamed like a child, flailing his hands in the air.

"Tsk..." Lyrian annoyingly exclaimed, taking a step back and relaxing his hand.

"So damn weak it’s pathetic. Tell me where this place is already!"

"A-alright! It’s the Power Graveyard..."

"The what?"

"A forest that all the disciples go to train."

"What makes it so special."

"Well, two things. Before I get to that though, know that it’s forbidden to enter. Still, the disciples from all the sects go there if they want to train there. It’s a death sentence for most though."

"Okay..."

"Firstly, what makes it special is that it is a land corrupted by Dark Ore energy. This is because it is so close to the Heart Stone, as you obviously know."

"The Heart Stone?"

"What? You don’t know about the Heart Stone?" Kyel confusedly exclaimed.

"No... I’m not from here. I’m from the overground realm or whatever. I thought it was obvious according to..."

Lyrian turned to look past his shoulder at the disciples behind him.

They were all slightly awkward laughing, "It was a blind guess, to be honest..." One of them said.

Lyrian faced Kyel again, "Whatever. Just get to the point."

"Right... well, the Heart Stone is at the epicenter of this underground realm. It powers the entire realm, and also the thing that creates all of the Dare Ore that you see down here. Um... it’s also where the Lord Head Elder of the Black Petal Sect is

rumored to be cultivating right now."

"Hmm... well, that’s some very informative news." Lyrian’s eyes widened as a smirk played on his lips.

"Due to the Heart Stone, every creature within the Power Graveyard--a decaying forest that is now more like a barren wasteland--is extremely powerful."

"Alright, and the second thing?"

"The second thing that makes this place special is the fact that all disciples go there at once, creating a battleground where many fights between different factions occur. For a person like you, it seems to be the best training ground." fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

"I see... where is this place?" Lyrian felt slightly rejuvenated, all of these pathways to gaining power were opening up for him so quickly.

It was the most satisfying feeling he had experienced in quite a while, especially since he was doing it right under the nose of the place he was going to destroy with this same power...
