Chapter 58: Personal Mission-2
Darius’s eyes became cold, and he said, "Let me guess, Sharley? The guy you spoke about?" He hated traitors of humanity the most, those who seek self preservation and suck the blood of other fellow humans instead of focusing their attention on the demons running rampants.
If it was on Darius hands, he would stop at nothing to erdicate these humans from the face of both earth and sanctuary, but he knew such a thing will never stop. Bad apples existed in every nation, every deilogy and every movment, there is no way to eradicate all of them, at most he could trim them down. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
"That’s right!" Jordan did not plan to conceal anything from the pavilion owner. He scoffed, "Once something happened to the mine, I immediately increased the numbers of the patrolling party, yet they didn’t even spot the enemy. Unless someone had leaked the patrolling routes beforehand, how could this be possible?"
It was likely that once Sharley heard that Alex and his brother had both been thrashed, he had secretly met with the head of the Silvermine family and reached some kind agreement with the latter...most likely it was to have Silvermine family aid him in snatching the position of Family Head. Though only he himself knew what kind of humiliating terms he’d agreed to in exchange for their assistance.
Jordan had already explained the important details, so Darius kept nodding his head, noting down the information in his mind, planning to write the important ones on the mission later on after the customer paid.
"I’ve made a lunch appointment with Alchemist Harley of the Apex’s Medicine Pavilion. I ’d definitely have to give him some benefits. Otherwise, the family would really be in a big trouble," Jordan continued to say.
Indeed!
One of the other reasons he came to this place was to try to seek Alchemist Harley’s aid, or more like bribe him into stopping the assault on his family, or else there was no way his family would survive if this continued.
Alchemist Harley.... Harley Graham?
Darius could not help the strange expression on his face as he said, "I’ll accompany you."
"Sir, you are the pavilion owner, how can I trouble you to do such a thing. Please just post the mission and let someone from the pavilion handles it, I expect if I deal enough damage to the properties of the Silvermine family, they will stop." Jordan refused, he coudln’t possibly allow this young man to go with him, it would be a death sentence!
Indeed, he wasn’t worried about troubling Darius, he just thought of him as a powerless lad with no power whatsoever, fed by a golden spoon since his childhood and given this business to run. While by himself he had no power, surely the ones working for him as "Members" had some capabilities, or else he wouldn’t hear a lot of rumors. Especially the demon suppression office talking about his pavilion.
"Mr Jordan, so you do not have to worry anymore, just rest assured and let me handle the matter entirely," Darius smiled.
Jordan’s face twitched, but after a while, he could not stop himself from laughing long and loud. It was as if all the worries that had troubled his mind these few days had evaporated. If the pavilion owner had shown such confidence...what else did he need to worry about?
"Good lad good lad!" He was unbearably excited. He finally believed that this young man truly had the ability to help him rescue his family!
"Then, tonight we’ll head to dinner together," Jordan said with a nod. Now that pavilion owner was showing such confidence, he could rest assured and think of his family. If even he couldn’t solve his problem, then his family’s regressing from the ruling force would be inevitable. He truly couldn’t think of any force who could possibly help him against an alchemist.
Darius kept up the smile on his face. When he imagined Alchemist Harley seeing him later tonight, he could practically see the thunderstruck expression on the latter’s face.
As Jordan left, Darius eyes narrowed as he looked at the system panel flashing before him.
"Ding! Personal Urgent Mission: The host must take it to gain long-term benefits and spread the reputation of the Immortal Pavilion."
"Rewards: ???"
He sighed, gazing at the mission that just appeared, in fact, it appeared since Jordan started speaking but he never gave it any heed since he was focused on the conversation, but now as he read through the contents, he felt that he had no choice.
While he wanted to slack around and stay inside of the pavilion at night to make more pills, if rewards are mentioned especially since the pavilion reputation also was related, he must go. It wouldb’t be surprising if he finally increase the rank of the pavilion increasing its features even further.
However Darius looked at it, he wasn’t losing at all, it was a win-win for both him and Jordan well and the system.

That night, Jordan and, his son and Darius, accompanied by four attendants, arrived at "Candle Light House". This was where Jordan had invited Alchemist Harley for dinner.
While they were waiting in one of the private rooms of the restaurant, Jordan and Darius talked with each other.
Truthlly speaking, he didn’t expect Jordan would bring his son, but later on he realised that it wasn’t the case. Instead, his son aged sixteen, followed his father to Dragon City and somehow traced him to find him later at night.
Jordan had no choice but to bring his son over him.
"Peng!" The door was suddenly pushed open, and two people entered.
They were Sharley and his son!
"What are the two of you doing here?" Jordan said coldly, his expression ugly.
"The family is in such big trouble, how could I not come?" Sharley did not wait to be invited before sitting down and saying to Jordan, "I’d advise you to step back from this issue, and leave this matter for me to handle.
