Chapter 57: Personal Mission-1

’Is this the place the two spoke about?’

In a narrow alley, a middle-aged man carrasing his long white beard could be seen looking at the signboard saying "Immortal Pavilion" his interest piqued.

’Childish, very childish,’ Jordan, reading the words by himself snorted in disdain,’ What naming taste is this? Did this man read too many children stories that he was lost in his dreams or what?’ Although disdained, he had no choice but to enter the place, his situation needed urgent aid from outside forces or else he might as well forfeit his family business.

As he walked inside, he suddenly halted his footsteps and looked at the side of the door, in his view, a young man was leisurely sitting on a chair with eyes shut, completely uncaring about his existence.

"Young man, are u a security guard here or a member of the pavilion? Is your master inside?" Jordan asked sicnerely, since the mission he was about to submit wasn’t simple, being polite was by no means an option.

Darius heard a bit of noise and when he opened his eyes, a view of a middle-aged man with long white beard and trimmed mostach enetered his ears,’ Gandolf? No, young Gandolf.’ He chuckled before he casually replied.

"If you need anything Gandolf, just check the services we have, if you here to post a mission then just ask me." He waved his hand, pointing at the board on top of the receptionst desk before he shut his eyes again.

’Whose Gandalf? Anyway, this lad is quite interesting.’ Stroking his long beard, Jordan knew this must be the owner of this pavilion, although he was clueless about a lot of things, from the information the duo gave him the owner should be of similar age. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

"I’m here to post a mission, hope sir can help me," Jordan cupped his fists in respect, humbling himself to the utmost of his ability.

’Hmm?’ Darius glanced at the man, his mood appeared to be very bad, his brows wrinkled in a deep frown, with the situation appearing quite serious.

"Tell me, what’s wrong and what do you need the pavilion for?" Darius asked directly.

Jordan raised his head and gave a nod, sighing in relief as the young man seemed quite cooperative.

"How bad is the situation?" Darius asked once more. He wasn’t dumb; he could tell that from the man’s actions, the situation was quite serious.

Jordan heaved a sigh before finally taking a deep breath and saying, "It’s very bad! I’m the head of the Snowwell family. Though our Snowwell family has numerous properties, there are only two that are most profitable to the family. One is the mine, the other is the medicine shop."

Jordan didn’t beat around the bush and instatly cut to the point, his voice heavy as he explained the situation.

From what Jordan explained, Darius knew that the Snowwell family owned a copper mine. The ownership of this mine fell into the hands of the Snowwell family only thirty years ago... The Snowwell family had paid an extremely heavy price to obtain this mine, as many powerful warriors of the family had died in the process. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

As for the medicine shop, it would purchase lower-grade medicinal pills from Apex’s Medicine Pavilion and resell them to customers at a price a little higher than the original price. Although this was only a simple purchase-and-resale trade, because there was an enormous market for medicinal pills, this was a major source of income for the family. The actual profit from selling each pill might have been small, but the number of transactions more than made up for it

The weakness of the medicine shop was that it completely relied on the Apex’s Medicine Pavilion. However, because the Apex’s Medicine Pavilion wanted to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with the locally influential parties, the two ruling families of the small city could each obtain some pills to sell.

"Five days ago, our mine had been attacked by an unknown party, leading to quite a few casualties. Now everyone is in a state of anxiety. Even though we increased wages, there are not many who are willing to enter the mine."

Jordan continued to say, "Furthermore, Alchemist Harley from the Apex’s Medicine Pavilion had suddenly started making things difficult for us. He said that the batch of medicinal pills sent from Headquarters this time has been delayed on the road for some reason and the delivery will be late. Now, our stock of pills in the warehouse is close to being completely sold out. If the situation continues and we still aren’t able to restock, then the medicine shop can only be temporarily closed."

Once the medicine shop closed its doors, the shop’s reputation would definitely be affected. Even if it once again opened its doors to do business in the future, some customers would definitely be lost.

"These two days, our finances are already a bit tight. We must figure out something as quick as possible," Jordan sighed.

Although the Snowwell family was a large family with various properties, their expenses were also very large. There was a saying, the poor studies while the rich cultivate. Cultivation was an extremely expensive endeavor. And now, the two key businesses of the Snowwell family were hit at the same time, thus the family funds immediately became tight. If things went on like this, there would be big trouble. In fact, they may even be forced to sell off some of their less important businesses.

"It’s done by the Silvermanes family!" Darius said immediately, very certain. Such a thing, even if he wasn’t exposed to the inner dealings of the family, he could easily spot the agressor at first glance, he read too many novels for him not to be able to do so.

Jordan nodded hearing this. Their two greatest businesses encountered difficulties at the same time, there could never be such a huge coincidence in this world. He crassed his long white beard once and said, "There’s also a traitor."
