Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Shocking Power

At that moment, Stephanie’s scream rang out from the roof.

Amelia looked up and casually tossed her gun onto the roof. "Stop screaming! Get ready to fight!"

After that, Amelia picked up Luna’s gun and started reloading the bullets.

Remembering how Kevin saved her, she called out. "Don’t waste your bullets. Remember to shoot the skeletons in the eyes."

While the two girls got ready in fear, Kevin was already hunting. He held the Lance of Longinus and started killing.

He would not wait for the Eldritch skeletons to gather into a group for a big fight.

While the skeletons were climbing onto the ship from all sides, Kevin looked for chances to strike when they were alone.

Even without The Fixing Gaze to kill them in one hit, Kevin fought them like guerrillas. He used his past life’s battle skills and the healing power and stamina from the Eldritch Artifact: Regeneration Source.

If he could kill them in one hit, that would be best.

If not, he would stab once and run away immediately.

In this way, before all thirty-plus skeletons got on board, Kevin killed five all by himself.

In a pile of crates on the deck, Kevin watched the surrounding skeletons while looking for an opening.

Leo lay next to him. His fear was too high, and his sanity dropped fast from staying in the sea. Now he was on the edge of being awake and going crazy. "Kevin... you bastard, how can you do this to me? I want you to die... I want you to die..."

Kevin glanced at Leo and sneered. "There are plenty of people who want me dead. Who do you think you are?"

Saying that, Kevin pulled out the knife on his leg and stabbed it straight into Leo’s thigh.

Blood splashed everywhere. Leo screamed in pain, shrieking in pure agony.

Right after, Kevin kicked Leo out of the crate pile, exposing him to the group of Eldritch skeletons.

Soon, seven or eight skeletons surrounded Leo.

Kevin used this chance to distract them and attacked from behind with the Lance of Longinus.

Before the skeletons could hurt Leo, he had already burst four of their skulls with four quick stabs.

The remaining three Eldritch skeletons felt the threat. They dropped the chase on Leo at once and watched Kevin carefully, letting out scary roars.

"Damn, they are calling for help!" Kevin cursed to himself and turned to run.

But thinking Leo could still be used as bait, he grabbed his collar just as Leo was about to be cut down by the three skeletons and ran away fast.

Leo’s back had been dragged on the deck before, causing big wounds and a lot of blood loss.

Now his chest and belly were being dragged too. The skin was torn open, leaving a clear red line behind, along with his terrible crying.

Kevin frowned while running. "You didn’t scream this much when I dragged you into the sea. Stop pretending now."

Dragged across the deck, Leo cried, shed tears, and gritted his teeth. "Kevin... When you dragged me into the sea, you scraped my butt. Now you drag me on the deck, you’re scraping my crotch!"

Kevin scratched his head. "You’re impotent now. Why do you care about that?"

With his weak spot exposed directly, Leo went even crazier.

The scene on the deck got more and more chaotic.

Kevin dragged Leo while running in front, and more than twenty Eldritch skeletons chased behind him.

On the bridge, Amelia and Stephanie both stared in shock at the scene.

"Officer Amelia... Kevin’s stamina is insane, right? He just killed six waves of Eldritch skeletons back-to-back, and now he’s still dragging a guy across the deck, and they can’t even catch him?" Stephanie gasped, her eyes locked on Kevin.

Amelia stood on the bridge, equally shocked.

She glanced at the unconscious Luna, then looked out the window at the running Kevin. "Stephanie, I have to be honest. Kevin’s physical condition is top-tier, even compared to elite soldiers worldwide."

Hearing this, Stephanie unconsciously licked her lips, a determined look on her face. "I never expected Kevin to be so strong, and his endurance is amazing too."

"He must be amazing in bed. Hmph, Bella’s really hitting the jackpot with all this great content! She must be afraid I’ll steal Kevin, so she deliberately put him down in front of me. That has to be it!"

"Bella, just wait. I’ll make sure to steal Kevin while you’re gone."

Just as Stephanie was muttering to herself, lost in her thoughts.

Bang!

The gunshot made her scream.

Stephanie carefully peeked up. She realized that while she was daydreaming, Amelia had already raised her gun and aimed at the skeletons on the deck.

Following the gun sight, she saw an Eldritch skeleton collapse on the deck. The red fire in its eye sockets was fading and going out.

Stephanie’s eyes widened. "Amelia, you can kill those things too?"

Amelia ignored her. She raised her gun, aimed, and fired in one smooth motion.

But this time, the bullet missed the eye socket and didn’t kill the target instantly.

She sighed and called out to the roof. "If I were you, I’d keep shooting to help Kevin."

Hearing that, Stephanie’s eyes lit up.

Right. If she helped Kevin now, she could definitely win his favor back.

With that thought, Stephanie pressed her knees together and slowly sat up straight.

She raised her pistol, mimicking Amelia’s stance, and aimed at the deck.

Bang!

The shot rang out.

No skeletons fell. Instead, a piercing scream echoed.

Hearing the familiar voice, Stephanie leaned over to look. She saw Leo’s butt blow into a cloud of blood.

"Fuck! Who the hell shot me in the ass?" Leo roared. Stephanie’s face went completely pale.

Realizing her mistake, Stephanie stuck her tongue out and quickly ducked back behind the roof wall. She didn’t want Leo or Kevin to see her.

After that, she kept shooting alongside Amelia. freewёbnoνel.com

Meanwhile, Kevin dragged the heavily wounded Leo as he ran across the deck.

Fifteen minutes passed quickly.

The skeletons chasing Kevin had dropped to twenty-five.

Thinking about his progress, Kevin picked up the walkie-talkie and shouted.

"It’s midnight! My talent has refreshed! Hurry and give it to Luna!"

He pulled out a Holy Spring bottle and tossed it toward the bridge.

Amelia caught the bottle, lifted Luna up, and poured the liquid straight into her mouth.

Soon, Luna coughed twice. Her chest rose and fell hard as she slowly opened her eyes. "I... what’s happening?"

Kevin’s voice came through the walkie-talkie again. "Luna, you passed out. Now is not the time for explanations. Make three Holy Springs right now and soak the Ocular Barnacles in them. We need your power to end this fight."

Hearing Kevin, Luna instantly focused and created three Holy Springs.

As the three ghost eyes dropped into the bottle mouths, she grabbed one and drank it down at once.

"What are you doing?"

Amelia gasped.

Luna wiped her mouth and spoke softly.

"I’m a fighter too. I need to join the battle."

Amelia gritted her teeth and said nothing more.

She took ten bullets from her pocket. With a gentle squeeze, flame-like patterns appeared on them. She finished enchanting all ten at once.

Right after, she turned to look out the window, locking her eyes on the Eldritch skeleton closest to Kevin.

A red beam shot from the bridge to the deck, freezing that skeleton in place.

Because it stopped so fast, the skeletons behind it couldn’t brake in time and crashed into each other, falling down.

Taking advantage of the chance, Amelia fought through the dizziness in her head, raised her pistol, and opened fire on the skeleton group.

Boom! Boom!

Fireballs burst in all directions. Ten fireballs exploded in a row, throwing the lead skeletons into total chaos.

In that opening, Kevin turned, grabbed the Lance of Longinus, and lunged at a lone skeleton. Three quick stabs took down three more.

At the same time, a warning sounded in Kevin’s ears: The Fixing Gaze had ten charges refreshed.

Right after that, the skeleton closest to Kevin was frozen again.

Luna made her move.

Kevin took the chance, threw the Lance of Longinus from his hand, and pierced straight through the skeleton’s skull.

Seven or eight skeletons in a row broke into light and vanished.

The light blinded the three girls on the bridge and also blocked the vision of most of the skeletons.

Kevin used the chance to form a new Lance of Longinus in his hand.
