Quit?
"You can...you can just quit?" I ask in a scared voice and he smiles at me softly, eyes mapping out my face.
He looks like he has found something there, and he’s getting distracted with it.
"Taesan?" I whisper and he blinks.
"Hmm, I have been planning it from the start, a take over...and the part of it that no one knows about is the quitting" he says and I frown.
"But if it’s that way...why didn’t you quit all along?" I ask and he slides his hand up my back, resting it there.
"I couldn’t do it because I’m a fucking coward" the alpha says with a demeaning laugh.
His tone, the dry laugh, and the look in his eyes makes me sit up.
I sit up on his body so that I’m straddling him with my hands on his broad chest.
The word Coward and Kang Taesan don’t go together.

"What is that wild cat doing here?" Taesan asks with a growl, reverting to the cold CEO that has a beef with my best friend.
"Oh...I was going to tell you" I start, getting off him and sitting on the bed next to him.
I don’t want Minjae to see us in this position again.
The alpha raises a brow in a questioning manner.
"Well...Minjae and I don’t have a place to stay anymore, we moved out of the apartment he shared with his ex"

"Yes, we’ll pay for the accommodation" I say the words like I’m ready to run and hide.
"Good, you’ll pay with your presence, you’ll be sleeping in my room" Taesan gets out of the bed, adjusting his clothes before looking at me.

"But...but we’re courting" I stutter.
"We sleep next to each other, it’s not hard for you, is it...omega?" he asks and I might be imagining things, but I see a playful glint in his eyes.

"Are you two done or should I force myself to pee some more?" Minjae asks with a fake swooning tone.

"Tall, dark, psycho" he continues to say and I run to shut Minjae’s mouth, smiling apologetically at Taesan.
If this bonehead wasn’t pregnant, I would have attempted to give him a smack down. I really need to get into bodybuilding.
"Forgive my friend, he’s not always this...insane" I say and Minjae licks my palm.
"See you later, treasure" Taesan says before leaving the room and I punch Minjae’s arm.
"Are you crazy?" I hiss at him and he rolls his eyes.
"You, are you crazy?" he asks me back.
"Act civilized"
"You know what, I’m no longer stopping you, give my baby a best friend" Minjae gives a sly smirk and I sigh.
