Seoha’s POV
The day is going quietly, and Minjae’s teasing only stopped when he started to nap.
I tuck myself into my best friend’s side, looking at his soft features, and in no time, I am staring at his stomach.
He is starting to show through his baggy clothes, the bump is small but there.
Minjae makes pregnancy desirable for me, the way he looks beautiful with it, the way he carries himself...and the way he’s trying to become a new person for it.
I sigh at the way the longing for my own pup makes my chest feel tight.
’I’m not ready’ I say to myself, trying to ease the desire.
No matter how much I crave a baby, I’m still in a mess, there’s still so many things to worry about.
If grandfather Kang knows that Sooin isn’t Taesan’s and he’s still giving him this much hell...
What will he do with child that is really Taesan’s?
The thought sends shivers down my back and Minjae opens his eyes, waking up slowly.
"You smell scared, what’s wrong Seo-ya?" he asks.
"I was just thinking"

My omega makes a happy noise at the thought of the little pup we love dearly.
We aren’t ready for our own pup, but the moon goddess gave us Sooin, that small gift is enough to make me happy.
"It’s time for lunch" I say to Minjae and his sleepy eyes brighten immediately.
"Lunch? Oh good, I’ve been as hungry as a motherfucker" he says, getting out of bed before I can even move.
"Are you really hungry?" I ask and he rolls his eyes, "it’s a polite way to have a house tour, now let’s go" he says.
"I hope your pup doesn’t end up with this character" I tsk even though I’m smiling at him.
"Hurry" Minjae insists.
We step out of the room hand in hand, two best friends who are going through so much, two men who are facing the unexpected and thriving through it.
We follow the small sound of Sooin’s giggles to the kitchen.
’Pup is here!’ my omega says happily.
But before I can walk in, Minjae holds my hand, making me stop at the door just in time to see Taesan laughing with his daughter in front of the stove.
"Dad, this one too" Sooin says, making a silly face, and Taesan repeats the action.
I never thought I would see Taesan making a silly face.
The man melts into someone else whenever it involves this little girl.
And seeing how much he cherishes her even after finding out that he’s not her father is something precious.
"Is this it?" Taesan asks and Sooin shakes her head.
"No, no, do it like this, dad" she corrects him with her hands on her waist and Taesan picks her up, making her giggle harder.
Minjae lets go of my arm and wipes away invisible tears.
"I forgive him, go ahead, make babies with him" Minjae whispers and the alpha looks up at us.
"Ugh, so annoying" Minjae says, walking ahead of me into the kitchen.
"Uncle Minnie! Daddy!" Sooin claps happily, smiling brightly at us and Minjae waves at her.
"What’s for lunch?" Minjae goes to stand by Taesan, peeking into the pot he was stirring.
"Nothing that is for you" Taesan says, giving Minjae a lethal side eye.
"Seoha, I guess we’re starving in this place...oh, it’s kimchi jjigae!" Minjae says, leaning down to take a whiff of the food in the pot.
"Uncle Minnie, dad made it for all of us!" Sooin squeals in her dad’s arm and he puts her down.
"Daddy" Sooin purrs at me, coming in my direction and I open my arms to welcome her.
"Hi pup" I greet as she hugs me and rubbing her face into my stomach like a cat.
"You smell good daddy" she says and I laugh in surprise.
Pup’s sense of smell only fully manifests when they present, but they can smell their loved ones, and smell when someone is carrying a little one.
"Thank you, Innie" I whisper to her.
"Come eat" Taesan says, pulling out a chair for me, and one for Minjae.
My best friend and I take our seats quietly.
"Dad, me too!" Sooin says, lifting her arms for him to pick her up, and he does, gently placing her in the chair.
"Thank you dad" she says to him, earning a small smile from him...Taesan has a dimple?
The alpha dishes the meal for the three of us.
His shirt’s sleeves are folded up to his elbows, and I can see the way his tattooed arm ripples with the movements, reminding me of how strong he is.
"How is it?" he asks when he takes his seat across mine, sitting next to his daughter.
"This is okay for a- ouch!" Minjae’s words are ended by a kick under the table from me.
"Sooin, how is it?" I ask, reminding Minjae that there is a kid with us.
"I like it! Dad’s food is the best" Sooin says, stuffing her mouth with rice and beaming at me.
"What about my food?" I tease and she gasps.
"Dad, close your ears" she says to her dad and Taesan sighs, "just say it, it won’t hurt my feelings" he murmurs.
"Daddy’s food is the most best best ever" the pup whispers to me, putting a finger over her mouth like it’s a secret.
She’s too adorable.
"It’s a secret" she singsongs like no one else heard her, and I lean forward to humor her.
"I will never tell anyone, I promise" I whisper back, winking at her father who is staring at me like I’m the only one here.
Minjae groans dramatically next to me and I make a face of disapproval.
"So, what do you heathens do for fun around here?" he asks, gulping his soup down and dropping the bowl.
"We can play a game" Taesan answers.
"Game of what? Chess?" Minjae asks, purposefully taunting the alpha and I shake my head.
These two.
"Let’s play FIFA" Taesan says smugly.
"I’ll beat you" Minjae snickers.
"Are you placing a bet?" Taesan asks, cracking his knuckles and I sigh loudly, wishing to disappear.
"Daddy, let’s play tea party" Sooin says over my best friend and my mate’s silly conversation and I smile at her.
"Of course, baby, let’s finish our food and do that" I agree with her.
As much as I want to see Minjae and Taesan fight over a video game, I don’t want to be caught in the middle.
I just hope one doesn’t kill the other.
