Chapter 248: Chapter 251: Sonia, Are You Inviting Me?
His solid, well-built body, heavy with surging desire, pressed down on her.
Charlotte Shaw instantly panicked.
"What do you think you’re doing?" she demanded, raising her hands to press firmly against Willow Quincy’s chest as he bore down on her.
"Heh..." Willow Quincy sneered. With just one hand, he seized both of Charlotte Shaw’s wrists and violently pinned them above her head.
"Let me go!" Charlotte Shaw struggled violently beneath him, but it only took a fraction of his strength to render all her resistance futile.
"Sonia." He leaned down, his face intimately close to Charlotte Shaw’s, his hot breath fanning across her skin.
Charlotte Shaw shuddered, and a thick layer of goosebumps broke out across her skin.
"Get off!" She thrashed her limbs, trying to shove Willow Quincy off of her. But with her hands pinned, not only was the struggle useless, but it also served to press her body further into his.
A fire lit in Willow Quincy’s eyes, and his voice grew hoarse. "Sonia, are you inviting me?"
"Invite my ass!" Charlotte Shaw spat. "Willow Quincy, let me go!"
Willow Quincy’s lip curled into a wicked, crazed smile. "Sonia, I went to so much trouble to get you here. How could I possibly let you go?"
"I’ll never let go, not even if I die!"
"Get lost!" Charlotte Shaw glared at him, her eyes filled with hatred. "Willow Quincy, get the hell away from me!"
"I’m not going anywhere," Willow Quincy said lightly. "It’s not often Sonia invites me. How could I possibly pass up this opportunity?"
"AHHH!!!" Charlotte Shaw shrieked, completely breaking down.
Willow Quincy looked down at her, his lust-filled gaze slowly lingering on her face. It traveled from her expressive eyes, to the tip of her nose with its tiny mole, to her small, pink lips, and finally back to her nose.
"Sonia." He rubbed his nose intimately against Charlotte’s, his lips nearly touching hers. "So cute, my Sonia. The perfect lover I chose for myself."
"GET AWAY!!!" Charlotte Shaw desperately turned her face away, refusing to let Willow Quincy touch her.
Willow Quincy just chuckled, using his free hand to grab her chin and effortlessly wrench her head back to face him.
"Let me go!" She twisted her head with all her might, trying to break free from Willow Quincy’s control.
But Willow Quincy was, after all, a man in his prime. No matter how she twisted and turned, she couldn’t escape his hold.
Willow Quincy’s grip was like an iron vice; once he had Charlotte Shaw restrained, he left her no chance of escape.
"Willow Quincy, stay away from me! Don’t touch me!!"
Charlotte Shaw was being driven mad by despair, but Willow Quincy was still grinning flippantly.
"I won’t," he refused lightly, then leaned down and planted a kiss on the tip of her nose. "Sonia, you were born to be mine. We’re a natural pair, destined to be entangled for a lifetime."
"AHHH!!!" Charlotte Shaw screamed at the top of her lungs, shrieking like she’d gone insane.
To her, Willow Quincy’s kiss was like the flick of a venomous snake’s tongue. The brief contact was enough to make every hair on her body stand on end.
"Get off!"
She powerfully raised her leg, aiming a hard knee strike at Willow Quincy’s groin. But he was too quick. He clapped a hand over his lower abdomen, solidly blocking her knee.
Charlotte Shaw’s attack had missed its mark, but it wasn’t entirely without effect.
No matter how strong Willow Quincy was, his palm was still flesh and blood. When Charlotte Shaw’s hard kneecap slammed into it with all her might, his palm first went numb, then an agonizing, piercing pain shot through it.
"Ngh—" He grunted, his brow furrowing in pain. His grip instantly slackened.
Charlotte Shaw seized the opportunity, wrenching her hands free from his grasp. Then, with a kick to his side, she sent him toppling onto the bed.
Without even pausing to put on her shoes, Charlotte Shaw scrambled off the bed and ran straight for the nearby balcony. It was on the second floor, and though it wasn’t a high drop, Willow Quincy had installed a railing along the edge.
Charlotte Shaw rushed to the railing and, without a moment’s hesitation, swung her leg over and vaulted to the other side.
The ledge she was on was barely half a palm’s width. Standing there barefoot, all she had to do was let go and she would fall.
"Sonia!"
Ignoring the pain, Willow Quincy scrambled up from the bed and rushed toward the balcony.
"Don’t come any closer!" Charlotte Shaw warned furiously. "If you dare come over here, I’ll jump right now! This height might not kill me, but it’s enough to break bones!"
"If you want to see me laid up in a hospital, then go ahead and call my bluff!"
"Okay!" Willow Quincy stopped in his tracks, frozen to the spot, not daring to move closer.
"Sonia, I won’t come over. Just be a good girl and climb back. Don’t hang there."
Biting her lip, Charlotte Shaw laid out her terms. "I’ll come back, but only if you promise right now that you will never touch me again!"
"Okay." Willow Quincy’s agreement was so quick it took Charlotte Shaw by surprise.
"From now on, I absolutely will not touch you again without your permission!"
"Now be good and hurry up and climb back over!"
Charlotte Shaw didn’t move. "You have to keep your word. You can’t lie to me."
Willow Quincy’s tone was firm. "I will absolutely keep my word. I will not lie to Sonia!"
Charlotte Shaw: "Swear a damn oath!"
Willow Quincy: "I swear. If I dare go back on my promise and lie to Sonia, may I be struck by lightning and die a miserable death!"
"Sonia, can you believe me now?"
Charlotte Shaw shot him a glare and said icily, "Stay right there and don’t move. I’ll climb back over myself."
Willow Quincy: "Okay, I won’t move! Slowly, Sonia. Don’t panic."
Charlotte Shaw was hardly going to panic over a mere second-floor drop and a waist-high railing.
She vaulted back over the same way she’d gone out, landing completely unharmed in front of Willow Quincy.
Willow Quincy let out a huge sigh of relief and reflexively stepped forward to see if Charlotte Shaw was hurt.
"Stay back." Charlotte Shaw flinched away, her face full of disgust. "Get out of my room. I don’t want to see you."
Willow Quincy sighed heavily, speaking in a helpless, cautious tone. "Sonia, I just want to see if you’re hurt."
Charlotte Shaw: "I don’t need you to look. Just get the hell out."
"Sonia..." Willow Quincy was reluctant to leave.
Charlotte Shaw gave him one last warning: "Willow Quincy, get out now, while I can still speak to you calmly. Otherwise, I can’t promise I won’t do something self-destructive."
The word "self-destructive" pierced Willow Quincy’s nerves like a sharp spike. He didn’t dare to gamble on it. He could only nod and, with a dejected air, turn and leave Charlotte Shaw’s room.
