Chapter 34: Chapter 34. x15 gravity.
Aiden increased the gravity to x15.
With his crimson armor on him, he sat down.
The weapon he was holding turned into blobs of blood and floated towards him. The blobs of blood joined the armor on him and further reinforced it.
The weight pressing down on him was extremely excruciating. It was nothing like he had experienced before.
Aiden gritted his teeth and endured.
He felt like the weight wanted to drill him into the ground.
It was very overbearing.
An hour passed.
Aiden was currently sweating all over.
The weight was so much that it penetrated the crimson armor and his skin even burst open.
Then his regeneration kicked in and it healed.
Aiden stood up eventually.
Eventually, the bursting of his skin stopped. And the weight seemed to lessen. He was adapting to it.
Several blobs of blood appeared before Aiden and transformed into a crimson bladed chain.
He started practicing with it. At first, his movements were slow and sluggish because of the weight of gravity. But soon, his movements were growing fluid and smooth.
The crimson bladed chain molded into two crimson daggers.
Aiden was getting better and better. He moved with preternatural fluidity and grace.
The crimson daggers transformed into a large crimson hammer.
Aiden kept practicing. He switched from one weapon to another. He was so immersed in his training that he forgot he was under the influence of x15 gravity. To be more accurate, he had grown used to the x15 gravity.
If anyone saw this, they would be extremely shocked.
Aiden’s ability to learn and adapt was naturally very terrifying. What had held him in the past was his inability to awaken as a warrior. But after he experienced his transformation, his ability to learn and adapt was revealed.
Unfortunately, no one could see the results of one’s training in the gravity chambers. It was not like the virtual reality tower.
The combat duels in the virtual reality tower could be observed by students if they paid a certain amount of contribution points.
When students tried to challenge the gravity towers in the virtual reality tower, that was also observable.
Eventually, Aiden was moving like he would on a regular battlefield without the influence of enhanced gravity.
"If I can move like this under the influence of x15 gravity, I can’t wait to experience the results of my training on a mission. My reflexes will be more enhanced then previously."
He waved the crimson staff one more time, his movements unhurried, simple, yet smooth.
Aiden ceased moving.
His time was up. The gravity enhancement disappeared completely.
The crimson staff turned into blobs of blood and returned into him.
Aiden left the gravity chamber and headed back to his villa.

Hourglass Society Building.
In a living room.
"So, he rejected the offer?" a tall beautiful lady said.
This was Hourglass, the leader of the Hourglass Society. An advanced rank 1 warrior ranked 4900 on the Heavenly Ascension ranking list.
"Yeah. He rejected the offer," Leah replied.
"You know how we do things right? If first year students think they can just reject our offers, we will lose face. When that happens, no one will fear us. In a situation like that, who will be willing to join our society? Can you handle him?" Hourglass replied.
"I’m not confident I can handle him. But, I could get other intermediate rank 1 warriors to join me. We will handle him when he leaves campus for his next mission," Leah replied.
"That fellow is not simple. Don’t look down on him. Be on your guard. There’s no way he can handle multiple intermediate rank 1 warriors but anything is possible. Eliminate him as quickly as you can before he tries anything dangerous," Hourglass said.
"Yes, president," Leah replied.
"It’s a pity he has to die," Hourglass sighed. "But principles are principles. This is how we do things."
Leah nodded and left.

TreeHill Society Building.
Society Lounge.
A tall, lanky dude with a crooked face tapped his desk after receiving a report. This person was Treehill, the president of the Treehill Society.
Ranked 5000 on the Heavenly Ascension ranking list.
"He really rejected the offer huh?" Treehill said with a smile. A glint of coldness flashed through his eyes.
"Not only that, he also rejected Hourglass’ offer," Butler replied.
"Oh... I see. Then there’s no need to do anything. Hourglass will get rid of him," Treehill said. "Let him be, no need to dirty our hands when Hourglass will deal with him. Hmph. These first year students think they can throw their weight around. If we don’t use some of them to set examples, none of them will be willing to join our society. In this world, strength is everything." He added, "If we are not violent, they will think they can walk over us because Aiden Vhorn did it and got away with it. Next time a first year refuses to join the society, beat them up till they are unrecognizable and have them sent to the university hospital. If these first year students refuse to join us, we will miss out on the chance of securing the allegiance and connections of potential geniuses on campus and have weak circles after graduation."
Butler nodded. "Noted, Mr. President."
After that, he left the office.

Desmonda shook her head.
"So he refused to join a society too, just like Asmodeus and I?"
She fell on her bed in her pajamas, her face facing the chandelier on the ceiling.
"It seems he hates being controlled too," she said.
"At first, I wanted to get to know him because he would definitely become a future powerhouse and forming a connection with someone like that is never a bad thing. But now, I can’t help but genuinely feel interested in him."

Asmodeus sat in his living room. The TV was on. He was a big fan of animes. So he was catching up on some episodes of a series he had missed for a while now.
He remembered his slight interaction with Aiden Vhorn infront of the gravity chamber.
"He’s different," he thought. "No stupid passion for competition. He’s focused on himself. We might get along just fine. And to think he rejected the offers of these societies. This guy is a madman. But that’s what makes him more compelling. Unlike me, who may be able to avoid some annoying seniors on campus because they don’t want to offend my family, he does not have that backing. However, he simply doesn’t give a fuck about them."
He returned to watching his anime.

Aiden returned to his villa.
He freshened up, changed his clothes into a longcoat, jeans and some sneakers, and sat down.
It was time for him to select a mission.
